A profluorescent nitroxide possessing an isoindoline nitroxide moiety linked to a perylene fluorophore was developed to monitor radical mediated degradation of melamine-formaldehyde crosslinked polyester coil coatings in an industry standard accelerated weathering tester. Trapping of polyester-derived radicals (most likely C-radicals) that are generated during polymer degradation leads to fluorescent closed-shell alkoxy amines, which was used to obtain time-dependent degradation profiles to assess the relative stability of different polyesters towards weathering. The nitroxide probe couples excellent thermal stability and satisfactory photostability with high sensitivity and enables detection of free radical damage in polyesters under conditions that mimic exposure to the environment on a time scale of hours rather than months or years required by other testing methods. There are indications that the profluorescent nitroxide undergoes partial photo-degradation in the absence of polymer-derived radicals. Unexpectedly, it was also found that UV-induced fragmentation of the NO–C bond in closed-shell alkoxy amines leads to regeneration of the profluorescent nitroxide and the respective C-radical. The maximum fluorescence intensity that could be achieved with a given probe concentration is therefore not only determined by the amount of polyester radicals formed during accelerated weathering, but also by the light-driven side reactions of the profluorescent nitroxide and the corresponding alkoxy amine radical trapping products. Studies to determine the optimum probe concentration in the polymer matrix revealed that aggregation and re-absorption effects lowered the fluorescence intensity at higher concentrations of the profluorescent nitroxide, but too low probe concentrations, where these effects would be avoided, were not sufficient to trap the amount of polyester radicals formed upon weathering. The optimized experimental conditions were used to assess the impact of temperature and UV irradiance on polymer degradation during accelerated weathering.  相似文献

Polymer‐based crosslinked networks with intrinsic self‐repairing ability have emerged due to their built‐in ability to repair physical damages. Here, novel dual sulfide–disulfide crosslinked networks (s‐ssPxNs) are reported exhibiting rapid and room temperature self‐healability within seconds to minutes, with no extra healing agents and no change under any environmental conditions. The method to synthesize these self‐healable networks utilizes a combination of well‐known crosslinking chemistry: photoinduced thiol‐ene click‐type radical addition, generating lightly sulfide‐crosslinked polysulfide‐based networks with excess thiols, and their oxidation, creating dynamic disulfide crosslinkages to yield the dual s‐ssPxNs. The resulting s‐ssPxN networks show rapid self‐healing within 30 s to 30 min at room temperature, as well as self‐healing elasticity with reversible viscoelastic properties. These results, combined with tunable self‐healing kinetics, demonstrate the versatility of the method as a new means to synthesize smart multifunctional polymeric materials.

The design of pore structure is the key factor for the performance of porous carbon spheres.In this wo rk,novel micron-sized colloidal crystal microspheres consisting of fibrous silica(F-SiO_2) nanoparticles are firstly prepared by water-evapo ration-induced self-assembly of F-SiO_2 nanoparticles in the droplets of an inverse emulsion system to be used as sacrificial templates.Acrylonitrile(AN) was infiltrated in the voids of the F-SiO_2 colloidal crystal microspheres,and in-situ induced by ~(60)Co y-ray to polymerize into polyacrylonitrile(PAN).After the PAN-infiltrated F-SiO_2 colloidal crystal microspheres were carbonized and etched with HF solution,novel micron-sized inverse-opal N-doped carbon(IO-NC) microspheres consisting of hollow carbon nanoparticles with a hierarchical macro/meso-porous inner surface were obtained.The IO-NC microspheres have a specific surface area as high as 266.4 m~2/g and a molar ratio of C/N of 5.They have a good dispersibility in water,and show a high adsorption capacity towards rhodamine B(RhB) up to 137.28 mg/(g microsphe re).This work offers a way to obtain novel micron-sized hierarchical macro/meso-porous N-doped carbon microspheres,which opens a new idea to prepare high-performance hierarchical porous carbon materials.  相似文献

采用流动控制沉积法, 通过调控泵速和聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)胶体微球溶液的浓度, 制备出微球排列高度有序且薄膜紧密附着于基底的高质量光子晶体薄膜. 获得了制备高质量PMMA光子晶体薄膜的组装条件范围, 发现在该条件范围内, 当泵速或胶体微球溶液浓度一定时, PMMA光子晶体薄膜的厚度随胶体微球溶液浓度的增加或泵速的降低而增加. 研究了组装条件对PMMA光子晶体薄膜光学性能的影响, 发现光子禁带位置随光子晶体薄膜厚度增加或减少而红移或蓝移. 在此基础上, 控制组装条件得到了不同尺寸微球堆叠而成的叠层光子晶体薄膜, 并研究了其光学性能的变化规律. 结果显示, 叠层光子晶体薄膜的光子禁带峰为各层叠层光子晶体禁带峰的简单叠加, 且峰强度受光入射角方向影响.  相似文献

采用水热法制备了Bi2WO6光催化剂, 考察了水热反应温度、 水热反应时间及前驱体溶液pH值等条件对其对乙烯可见光催化活性的影响, 并通过X射线衍射(XRD)、 扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、 紫外-可见漫反射光谱(UV-Vis DRS)和比表面积分析等对催化剂的晶相组成、 微观形貌和光学性质等进行表征. 结果表明, 在水热反应温度为120 ℃、 水热反应时间为12 h、 前驱体溶液pH=0.5条件下, Bi2WO6光催化剂经过各向异性生长以及自组装奥斯特瓦尔德成熟(Ostwald ripening)过程, 形成由二维纳米薄片自组装的多孔微球状结构, 有效增大了与乙烯气体的接触面积, 禁带宽度降至2.86 eV, 可见光响应范围拓宽, 表现出优异的光催化性能, 在可见光下240 min内对乙烯的降解率达到13.69%.  相似文献

A novel activators regenerated by electron transfer (ARGET) atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) initiation system composing of an initiator sodium chloroacetate, a catalyst ferric chloride, and a reducing agent ascorbic acid was developed to improve the gelation time of the in situ crosslinked polymer system. The kinetics of polymerization of acrylamide showed features of a living/controlled process in which the concentrations of the growing radicals [P·] are kept constant throughout the polymerization process. Compared with conventional potassium persulfate initiators, the gelation time of the in situ crosslinked polymer system can be improved to 40 h or even longer using the ARGET ATRP initiation system at 80 °C due to the low radical concentration and slow polymerization reaction. Core flooding test showed that the ARGET ATRP initiating system developed could initiate the polymerization reaction of the in situ crosslinked polymer system in the core. However, the gelation time was extended in comparison to that of the result obtained in the bottle, resulting from the dilution and adsorption of ARGET ATRP components during the injection process. The research expands the application field of the ARGET ATRP principle and has a promising prospect on controlling the gelation time of the in situ crosslinked polymer system. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two novel rhodamine-based polystyrene solid-phase fluorescence sensors PS-PA-I and PS-PA-II with different lengths of polyamines were synthesized for Hg(II) determination. The detection mechanism involving the Hg(II) chelation-induced spirocycle open of rhodamine was proposed with the aid of theoretical calculation. The stronger N-Hg bond and the longer polyamine chain in PS-PA-II led to a better selectivity, much higher and more quickly fluorescence response to Hg(II).  相似文献

Surface-functionalized magnetic poly(styrene-glycidyl methacrylate) (PS-GMA) microspheres were prepared and coupled with Sca-1 antibody for cell selection from murine bone marrow mononuclear cells (MNCs). Biotinylated Sca-1 antibody could be directly coupled to avidin-bound magnetic microspheres. Alternatively, oxidized goat anti-mouse antibody was covalently bound onto the amino group-containing magnetic microspheres in a site-directed manner, and the resultant conjugate was coupled with non-modified Sca-1 antibody. Using the indirect antibody-bound magnetic microspheres, the purity of isolated Sca-1+ cells increased with bead-to-cell ratio. Using a bead-to-cell ratio of 10 beads/cell, a purity of 85% Sca-1+ cells corresponding to a 17-fold enrichment was achieved.  相似文献
