This paper describes several highly efficient DABCO-catalyzed aza-Michael addition reactions of hydrazones to activated olefins. In most cases, these aza-Michael addition reactions gave the corresponding products in high yields under mild conditions. The plausible reaction mechanism is discussed on the basis of deuterium labeling experiments. Upon treatment with HCl, the corresponding cyclized products can be obtained in high yields from the Michael addition products. 相似文献

Between 1992 and 1994, a new screening campaign for blood Pb monitoring in the Italian general population was carried out. Since the first campaign (started in 1978, in accomplishment of the European Community Directive 77/312/EEC) a working group of the Laboratory of Clinical Biochemistry at the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità), as the Reference Centre (RC), has coordinated the activity of various laboratories spread over the national territory. Appropriate quality assurance procedures, including an external quality assessment scheme (EQAS), were elaborated. Within the EQAS, three or four trials were carried out every year. Each laboratory participating in the trial analyzed eight control samples prepared from cow blood at different Pb concentrations. The results obtained by each peripheral laboratory and the RC between 1992 and 1994 have been compared by regression analysis. The same statistical method was adopted to compare the results obtained by each peripheral laboratory and the RC in the duplicate analysis of about 10 per cent of the human samples collected during the 1992–1994 monitoring campaign. There was no evidence of systematic differences between the regression lines obtained on control and human samples. In spite of the lower Pb concentration in the control samples analyzed during the 1992–1994 campaign, the analytical performance of the laboratories was better than that obtained in the previous screening campaign (1985–1986). Blood Pb levels observed in human samples collected between 1992 and 1994, confirm the downward time trend observed in the campaigns carried out in 1978–1979, 1980–1981 and 1985–1986. The properties of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A epoxy resin toughened with poly(ether sulfone ether ketone) (PESEK) and poly(ether sulfone) (PES) polymers were investigated. PESEK was synthesised by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 4,4’-difluorobenzophenone with dihydroxydiphenylsulfone using sulfolane as solvent and potassium carbonate as catalyst at 230 °C. The T
g–composition behaviour of the homogeneous epoxy resin/PESEK blend was modelled using Fox, Gordon–Taylor and Kelley–Bueche equations. A single relaxation near the glass transition of epoxy resin was observed in all the blend systems. From dynamic mechanical analysis, the crosslink density of the blends was found to decrease with increase in the thermoplastic concentration. The storage modulus of the epoxy/PESEK blends was lower than that of neat resin, whilst it is higher for epoxy/PES blends up to glass transition temperature, thereafter it decreases. Scanning electron microscopic studies of the blends revealed a homogeneous morphology. The homogeneity of the blends was attributed to the similarity in chemical structure of the modifier and the cured epoxy network and due to the H-bonding interactions between the blend components. The fracture toughness of epoxy resin increased on blending with PESEK and PES. The increase in fracture toughness was due to the increase in ductility of the matrix. The thermal stability of the blends was comparable to that of neat epoxy resin. 相似文献

The high-level expression of recombinant gene products in the gramnegative bacteriumEscherichia coli often results in the misfolding of the protein of interest and its subsequent degradation by cellular proteases or its deposition
into biologically inactive aggregates known as inclusion bodies. It has recently become clear that in vivo protein folding
is an energy-dependent process mediated by two classes of folding modulators. Molecular chaperones, such as the DnaK-DnaJ-GrpE
and GroEL-GroES systems, suppress off-pathway aggregation reactions and facilitate proper folding through ATP-coordinated
cycles of binding and release of folding intermediates. On the other hand, folding catalysts (foldases) accelerate rate-limiting
steps along the protein folding pathway such as thecis/trans isomerization of peptidyl-prolyl bonds and the formation and reshuffling of disulfide bridges. Manipulating the cytoplasmic
folding environment by increasing the intracellular concentration of all or specific folding modulators, or by inactivating
genes encoding these proteins, holds great promise in facilitating the production and purification of heterologous proteins.
Purified folding modulators and artificial systems that mimic their mode of action have also proven useful in improving the
in vitro refolding yields of chemically denatured polypeptides. This review examines the usefulness and limitations of molecular

Single crystal structure determinations prove the two pyridine substituents in di(2-pyridyl)ketone (H4C4NC)2C=O to be twisted out of the carbonyl skeleton plane by torsion angles (OCCN) of 41° and –163°, in contrast to their planar arrangement in azo-di(2-pyridine) H4C4NC)-N=N-(CNC4H4). In order to rationalize the surprising difference between the two isoelectronic molecules, approximate PM3 enthalpy of formation hypersurfaces have been calculated for each of the two ring torsions, which are assumed to be the dominant ones among the 3N – 6 = 60 degrees of freedom. For both the ketone and the azo derivative, global minima are calculated, the torsion angles of which deviate from the crystal structure results, and, therefore, support the assumption that both the experimentally determined twisting of di(2-pyridyl)ketone as well as the flattening of azo-di(2-pyridine) might be affected by the crystal packing. 相似文献

Tetrabutylammonium fluoride induces the decomposition of 1-tert-butyl-4,4-dimethyl-5-(3-siloxyphenyl)-2,6,7-trioxabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane (4a) in DMSO to form an oxyanion of aromatic ketone (14a) as an emitter with high singlet-chemiexcitation yield comparable with that for a chemically initiated electron exchange luminescence (CIEEL) active dioxetane producing an oxyanion of aromatic ester as an emitter.
