Wet carbon-based solid acid/NaNO_3 as a mild and efficient reagent for nitration of aromatic compound under solvent free conditions

Nitro aromatic compound can be obtained in high yields via nitration of aromatic compound with wet carbon-based solid acid and NaNO_3 under solvent free oxidation at room temperature.

Zwei neue Metatitanate mit fünffach koordiniertem Titan: CsNaTiO3 und RbNaTiO3

Two New Metatitanates with Five-coordinated Titanium: CsNaTiO₃ and RbNaTiO₃ [1] The new oxides CsNaTiO₃ (I) and RbNaTiO₃ (II) are obtained by heating well grounded mixtures of the binary oxides in Ni-tubes as colourless platelike crystals. I: CsO_0.56, NaO_0.48 and TiO₂, Cs:Na:Ti = 1.1:1.1:1.0; 600°C, 61 d as well as CsO_0.97, NaO_0.48 and Ti₂O₃, Cs:Na:Ti = 1.5:3.0:1.0; 760°C, 27 d. II: RbO_0.52, NaO_0.48 and TiO₂, Rb:Na:Ti = 1.1:1.1:1.0; 750°C, 14 d as well as RbO_0.98, NaO_0.48 and Ti₂O₃, Rb:Na:Ti = 1.5:3.1:1.0; 760°C, 27 d. CsNaTiO₃ (orthorhombic, Cmcm) is nearly isostructural with KNaTiO₃ [2]; a = 601.4(1) pm, b = 1 120.3(1) pm, c = 563.4(1) pm (Guinier-Simon-Data, Z = 4). RbNaTiO₃ (monoclinic, C2/c) is isostructural with KNaTiO₃; a = 590.3(1) pm, b = 1 098.4(1) pm, c = 555.1(0) pm, β = 92.15° (Guinier-Simon-Data, Z = 4). Both structures are determined by using four-circle diffractometer data (CsNaTiO₃: Siemens AED2, 2 896I_o(hkl), MoKα , R = 2.4%, R_w = 2.3%; RbNaTiO₃: Philips PW 1 100, 2 743I_o(hkl), AgKα , R = 9.9%, R_w = 8.9%; additional data see text). The Madelung Part of Lattice Energy (MAPLE), Effective Coordination Numbers (ECoN), Mean Fictive Ionic Radii (MEFIR) and the Charge Distribution in Solids are calculated and discussed.     

Catalytic phosphorylation of polyfluoroalkanols. 17. Synthesis and the stereochemistry of tris(α-trifluoromethylbenzyl) phosphates

Catalytic phosphorylation of -trifluoromethylbenzyl alcohols with POCl₃ taken in a ratio of 3 : 1 under particular temperature conditions afforded predominantly symmetrical tris(-trifluoromethylbenzyl) phosphates. The latter were obtained as mixtures of two diastereomers with a statistical ratio of the components.     

胶束增敏荧光光谱法测定吡哌酸

采用不同表面活性剂对吡哌酸在胶束体系中的荧光性质进行了研究，发现在酸性介质中十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)对吡哌酸有较强的增敏作用，据此建立了胶束增敏荧光光谱法测定吡哌酸的新方法。方法线性范围为0．07-0．36μg／mL，检出限为0.04μg／mL，平均回收率为98．6％-101．3％，相对标准偏差为1．1％-1．2％。样品测定结果令人满意。     

Surface structures of adsorption layers of sodium hyaluronate and bovine serum albumin complexes on poly(γ-methyl-l-glutamate) film and their surface properties

Two-dimensional structures and characteristics of the complexes between sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were studied by using a quartz crystal microbalance method and an atomic force microscope (AFM). NaHA did not adsorb on poly(-methyl-l-glutamate) (PMLG) film. On the other hand, the complexes adsorbed on it and the adsorption behaviors were found to be Langmuir types. With increasing weight ratio of BSA to NaHA, W _BSA, the adsorption constants K decreased and the saturated adsorption masses increased. The adsorbed complexes were spherical particles and at saturated adsorption states they covered compactly on the PMLG film. The mean diameters d _AFM estimated from the topographic images decreased from 70 to 54 nm with increasing W _BSA. The adhesion force F _ad and the frictional force F _f between the complex layers and the AFM tip were obtained by using the contact mode of the AFM. With increasing W _BSA, the values of F _ad decreased and the values of F _f increased. Compared with the frictional coefficient of the NaHA adsorption layer on the BSA monolayer, the values for the NaHA–BSA complex layer were found to be much higher.     

Synthesis of sodium-polystyrenesulfonate-grafted nanoparticles by core-cross-linking of block copolymer micelles

Sodium poly(styrenesulfonate)(polySSNa)-grafted polymer nanoparticles were synthesized by core-cross-linking of block copolymer micelles and subsequent chemical transformation. Block copolymers, poly(p-((1-methyl)silacyclobutyl)styrene-block-poly(neopentyl p-styrenesulfonate)s, polySBS-b-polySSPen, were synthesized by nitroxy-mediated living radical polymerization. The block copolymers formed micelles (R_h=15-23 nm, where R_h represents the hydrodynamic radius) with a polySBS core and polySSPen shell in acetone. The micelle core was cross-linked by ring-opening polymerization of silacyclobutyl groups in polySBS. Hydrolysis of the neopentyl groups provided polySSNa-grafted nanoparticles. The R_h of the particles before the hydrolysis ranged from 12 to 21 nm in acetone, while they varied to the range from 50 to 110 nm in water after the hydrolysis.     

Indirect Determination of Captopril with Sodium Nitrate and Thiocyanate by Floatation Separation of Copper

A new method for indirect determination of captopril (CPT) with NaNO₃ and NH₄SCN by floatation and separation of copper has been studied. In the weak acid, a small amount of Cu(II) can be reduced to Cu(I) by CPT, then Cu(I) reacted with the SCN, which can float on the surface of the liquid phase with NaNO₃. A good linear relationship is observed between the floatation yield (E%) of Cu(II) and the amount of captopril. The linear range is 2?32 mg/L. On the ground, captopril can be indirectly determined by determining E(%) of Cu(II). The method is simple, rapid, reliable and has good selectivity. The developed method can be applied to indirect determination of captopril with satisfactory results.     

A 1H NMR study of 1,4-bis(N-hexadecyl-N, N-dimethylammonium)butane dibromide/sodium anthranilate system: spherical to rod-shaped transition

The effect of addition of sodium anthranilate to 5 mM micellar solutions of gemini surfactant 1,4-bis(N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethylammonium)butane dibromide is investigated by ¹H NMR. The solubilization site of anthranilate anion near the micellar surface is inferred. In the micelles, the An⁻ ions intercalate among the surfactant headgroups producing morphological changes.     

A Convenient Regiospecific Synthesis of New Conjugated Tetrazole Derivatives via the Reaction of Dienones with the Tetrachlorosilane-Sodium Azide Reagent and their NMR Structural Assignment

Summary. Several new 1-aryl-, aralkyl-, and heteroaryl-5-(4-phenylbuta-1,3-dienyl)tetrazole derivatives and annulated tetrazole derivatives were efficiently and regiospecifically prepared in nearly quantitative yield via a facile one step reaction of dienones with a combination of tetrachlorosilane and sodium azide in acetonitrile under mild conditions. A complete structure assignment of three representative examples of the tetrazoles was achieved by advanced 2D NMR measurements including COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, HMBC, NOESY, and ROESY experiments.Received March 17, 2003; accepted March 18, 2003 Published online July 28, 2003
