Summary Condensation of a 9-unsubstituted dipyrrinone with glyoxal in dichloromethane yielded a red pigment. It could be identified as 1,2-bis-(dipyrrinon-9-ylidene)-ethane which is an example of the hitherto unknown dehydro-b-homo-verdins. In addition, the corresponding mesobiliverdin-XIII could be isolated from the reaction mixture. The mechanistic aspects of this reaction are discussed. Absorption spectra, protonation equilibria, and complexation of the title compound with transition metal ions were investigated.

Zusammenfassung Kondensation eines 9-unsubstituierten Dipyrrinons mit Glyoxal in Dichlormethan unter saurer Katalyse ergab ein rotes Pigment. Dieses konnte als 1,2-bis-(Dipyrrinon-9-yliden)-ethan identifiziert werden, welches ein Beispiel für die bislang nicht bekannten Dehydro-b-homoverdine darstellt. Darüber hinaus konnte dabei auch aus der Reaktionsmischung das entsprechende Mesobiliverdin-XIII isoliert werden. Die mechanistischen Aspekte der Bildungsreaktion werden diskutiert. Absorptionsspektren, Protonierungsgleichgewichte und die Komplexierung mit Übergangsmetallionen wurden untersucht.

The diphosphate ester (ThDP) of thiamin (vitamin B1) is an important cofactor of enzymes within the carbohydrate metabolism. The initial reaction step shared by all ThDP-dependent enzymes is the deprotonation of the C2–H of the thiazolium ring. The replacement of the 4′-amino group by a hydroxyl one in the pyrimidine ring leads to the oxy-ThDP analogue which is known as an antagonist in thiamin catalysis.

Ab initio and DFT calculations on the MP2/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-31G* level were performed to study the proton relay function in thiamin and oxythiamin systems. Both MP2 and B3LYP calculations show significant differences of the reaction coordinate of the ylide formation in the systems. Tautomers, protonated and deprotonated species of both systems show different trends regarding their stability. The influence of correlation effects on the results is discussed by comparison with the HF-SCF/6-31G* data. Frequency calculations on the B3LYP/6-31G* level were performed to characterize the minima and transition state structures, respectively.  相似文献

The acid–base chemistry of some ruthenium ethyne-1,2-diyl complexes, [{Ru(CO)2(η-C5H4R)}22-CC)] (R=H, Me) has been investigated. Initial protonation of [{Ru(CO)2{η-C5H4R}}22-CC)] gave the unexpected complex cation, crystallised as the BF4 salt, [{Ru(CO)2(η-C5H4R}}33-CC)][BF4] (R=Me structurally characterised). This synthesis proved to be unreliable but subsequent, careful protonation experiments gave excellent yields of the protonated ethyne-1,2-diyl complexes, [{Ru(CO)2{η-C5H4R)}2212-CCH)](BF4) (R=Me structurally characterised) which could be deprotonated in high yield to return the starting ethyne-1,2-diyl complexes.  相似文献

Acid-mediated glycosylations of endo- and exo-glycals have been carried out in good to excellent yields, in which a mixture of two products is often obtained resulting from Ferrier rearrangement and protonation. The former reaction exclusively takes place with the t-butyl carbonate or hydroxyl substituent at the C3 position of endo-glycals, while the latter mainly occurs in the glycosylation of exo-glycals with allyl benzyl ether or acetate. In addition to the substituent effect, protecting groups are critical to determine the activity and favored reaction pathway. Furthermore, the method is applicable to O-, C-, and N-nucleophiles.  相似文献

Summary.  Anhydrous 1,6-hexanediammonium dihydrogendecavanadate ((HdaH2)2H2V10O28, 1) was prepared by reaction of V2O5 with 1,6-hexanediamine in aqueous solution. The crystal structure of 1 was determined, and the proton positions in the H2V10O28 4− anion were calculated by the bond length/bond number method. The protons are bound to the centrosymmetrically oriented μ–OV3 groups of the decavanadate anion. Based on the analysis of IR spectra of 1 prepared from H2O and D2O, the absorption band at 871 cm−1 can be attributed to δ(V–Ob–H) vibrations. Received August 3, 2001. The complexes [Ni(η2-CH2C6H4R-4)(triphos)]BPh4 {R = H, Me or MeO; triphos = PhP(CH2CH2PPh2)2} have been prepared and characterised by spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. In all cases the coordination geometry of the nickel is best described as square-planar with an η2-benzyl ligand occupying one of the positions. The orientation of the η2-benzyl ligand is dictated by the steric restrictions imposed by the phenyl groups on the triphos ligand, so that the phenyl group on the unique secondary phosphorus and the aromatic group of the benzyl ligand (which are trans to one another) are oriented in the same direction. [Ni(η2-CH2C6H4R-4)(triphos)]+ react with an excess of anhydrous HCl in MeCN to form [NiCl(triphos)]+ (characterised as the [BPh4] salt by X-ray crystallography) and the corresponding substituted toluene. The kinetics of the reaction of all [Ni(η2-CH2C6H4R-4)(triphos)]+ and HCl in the presence of Cl have been determined using stopped-flow spectrophotometry. All reactions exhibit a first-order dependence on the concentration of complex and a first-order dependence on the ratio [HCl]/[Cl]. Varying the 4-R-substituent on the benzyl ligand shows that electron-withdrawing substituents facilitate the rate of the reaction. It is proposed that the mechanism involves initial rapid protonation at the nickel to form [NiH(η2-CH2C6H4R-4)(triphos)]2+, followed by intramolecular proton migration from nickel to carbon to yield the products.  相似文献

Summary. (E)- and (Z)-Urocanic acids are endogenous chemicals in the normal mammalian skin. The first and the second thermodynamic dissociation constants (pK a1 and pK a2) of urocanic acid isomers were determined using UV spectrophotometry in aqueous solutions. The values with standard deviation (pK a1 = 3.43 ± 0.12 and pK a2 = 5.80 ± 0.04) and (pK a1 = 2.7 ± 0.3 and pK a2 = 6.65 ± 0.04) were obtained to (E)- and (Z)-urocanic acids, respectively. The second dissociations were studied also by potentiometric titration in aqueous sodium chloride solutions up to the isotonic salt concentration (0.154 mol dm−3), and the second thermodynamic dissociation constants as well as activity parameters for both isomers were determined at temperature 25°C and for (E)-urocanic acid also at 37°C. The obtained pK a2 values were close to those found by UV spectrophotometry. The equations for the calculation of the second stoichiometric dissociation constants of urocanic acid isomers on molality and molarity scale in aqueous sodium chloride solutions were derived. The obtained pK a1 and pK a2 values for (Z)-urocanic acid appear to be essentially lower than some previously reported values in literature. An erratum to this article is available at .  相似文献

It has been established (AM1, PM3, RHF/6-31G**, MP2/6-31G**//RHF/6-31G**) that in the gaseous phase and in aqueous solution, the most thermodynamically stable tautomer of 2-pyrrolidone is lactame. According to PM3 evaluations with an explicit accounting for aqueous medium, the state of tautomeric equilibrium serves as a prerequisite to participation of 2-pyrrolidone's lactime tautomer (pyrroline-2-ol) in complexation with palladium(II) in aqueous solution. 2-Pyrrolidone protonation in the gaseous phase and in aqueous medium has been shown to proceed via the oxygen atom, corresponding to expectations on mesomeric displacement of electron density in the amide fragment. The aqueous medium stabilizes 2-pyrrolidone's lactime tautomer to a greater extent than for lactame, and an O-protonated cyclic amide compared to an N-protonated one. The stereodirective character of palladium(II) complexation with chloride ion and pyrroline-2-ol has been explained. The initially formed tetragonal–pyramidal adduct with an axial organic ligand rearranges into a precursor of the cis product, an intermediate with an extra coordinated axial chlorine atom. The less thermodynamically stable cis isomer of [PdCl2(pyrroline-2-ol)2] appears because its precursor is a lower energy intermediate of associative nucleophilic substitution. At a supramolecular level, cis product is capable of being stabilized by means of intermolecular dipole–dipole association in a crystal.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the possible protonation sites of simple molecules formed by C, N, Si, P, B and Al that present a triple bond between those atoms has been carried out.
