A series of porphyrin sensitizers that featured two electron‐donating groups and dual anchoring groups that were connected through a porphine π‐bridging unit have been synthesized and successfully applied in dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The presence of electron‐donating groups had a significant influence on their spectroscopic, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties. Overall, the dual anchoring groups gave tunable electronic properties and stronger attachment to TiO2. These new dyes were readily synthesized in a minimum number of steps in gram‐scale quantities. Optical and electrochemical data confirmed the advantages of these dyes for use as sensitizers in DSSCs. Porphyrins with electron‐donating amino moieties provided improved charge separation and better charge‐injection efficiencies for the studied dual‐push–pull dyes. Attenuated total reflectance–Fourier‐transform infrared (ATR‐FTIR) and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy of the porphyrin dyes on TiO2 suggest that both p‐carboxyphenyl groups are attached onto TiO2, thereby resulting in strong attachment. Among these dyes, cis-Zn2BC2A , with two electron‐donating 3,6‐ditertbutyl‐phenyl‐carbazole groups and dual‐anchoring p‐carboxyphenyl groups, showed the highest efficiency of 4.07 %, with JSC=9.81 mA cm?2, VOC=0.63 V, and FF=66 %. Our results also indicated a better photostability of the studied dual‐anchored sensitizers compared to their mono‐anchored analogues under identical conditions. These results provide insight into the developments of a new generation of high‐efficiency and thermally stable porphyrin sensitizers.  相似文献

Anchoring groups are extremely important in controlling the performance of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSCs). The design and characterization of sensitizers with new anchoring groups, in particular non‐carboxylic acid groups, has become a recent focus of DSC research. Herein, new donor? π? acceptor zinc? porphyrin dyes with a pyridine ring as an anchoring group have been designed and synthesized for applications in DSCs. Photophysical and electrochemical investigations demonstrated that the pyridine ring worked effectively as an anchoring group for the porphyrin sensitizers. DSCs that were based on these new porphyrins showed an overall power‐conversion efficiency of about 4.0 % under full sunlight (AM 1.5G, 100 mW cm?2).  相似文献

A natural extract from Paecilomyces variotii (P. variotii extract, PVE), an endophytic fungus, has been used widely to improve agricultural crop performance and control multiple plant pathogens. Most recent studies focused on its application as a plant growth promoter, while relatively few studies have been reported on the antioxidant potential in vivo and the underlying mechanism. The present study was designed to determine the antioxidant activities of PVE and its mechanisms using Caenorhabditis elegans. Results showed that, compared to the solvent control, PVE at 1.0, 10 and 100 ng/mL significantly extended the lifespan of C. elegans by 36.60%, 59.80% and 53.30%, respectively. PVE at 10 ng/mL consistently promoted nematodes growth, but all treatments did not influence nematode fecundity, locomotion behavior, and pharyngeal pumping. Furthermore, PVE at the three tested concentrations significantly reduced accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipofuscin, lipid and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, meanwhile significantly promoted activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) in the nematodes. Compared with the solvent control, PVE up-regulated gene expression of skn-1, mev-1, sod-3, and daf-2, but significantly down-regulated the expression of nhr-49 and daf-16. Further evidence revealed that PVE at the three concentrations significantly promoted nuclear localization of SKN-1, but not affected that of DAF-16, indicating the complex roles of DAF-16 and SKN-1 in stress resistance and longevity regulation. Overall, our results demonstrated that SKN-1 played a critical role in increasing lifespan of C. elegans and protecting the nematodes from oxidative stress, independent of DAF-16.  相似文献

Branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), alanine and glutamine are determined in human plasma by capillary electrophoresis with contactless conductivity detection (CE/C4D). The baseline separation of five amino acids from other plasma components is achieved on the short capillary effective length of 18 cm in 3.2 mol/L acetic acid with addition of 13% v/v methanol as background electrolyte. Migration times range from 2.01 min for valine to 2.84 min for glutamine, and LODs for untreated plasma are in the interval 0.7–0.9 μmol/L. Sample treatment is based on the addition of acetonitrile to only 15 μL of plasma and supernatant is directly subjected to CE/C4D. Circulating amino acids are measured in patients with pancreatic cancer and cancer cachexia during oral glucose tolerance test. It is shown that patients with pancreatic cancer and cancer cachexia syndrome exhibit low basal circulating BCAAs and glutamine levels and loss of their insulin-dependent suppression.  相似文献

Porphyrins have drawn much attention as sensitizers owing to the large absorption coefficients of their Soret and Q bands in the visible region. In a donor and acceptor zinc porphyrin we applied a new strategy of introducing 2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole (BTD) as a π‐conjugated linker between the anchoring group and the porphyrin chromophore to broaden the absorption spectra to fill the valley between the Soret and Q bands. With this novel approach, we observed 12.75 % power‐conversion efficiency under simulated one‐sun illumination (AM1.5G, 100 mW cm?2). In this study, we showed the importance of introducing the phenyl group as a spacer between the BTD and the zinc porphyrin in achieving high power‐conversion efficiencies. Time‐resolved fluorescence, transient‐photocurrent‐decay, and transient‐photovoltage‐decay measurements were employed to determine the electron‐injection dynamics and the lifetime of the photogenerated charge carriers.  相似文献

The design and preparation of an asymmetric ruthenium–diacetylide organometallic complex was successfully achieved to provide an original donor–π–[M]–π–acceptor architecture, in which [M] corresponds to the [Ru(dppe)2] (dppe: bisdiphenylphosphinoethane) metal fragment. The charge‐transfer processes occurring upon photoexcitation of the push–pull metal–dialkynyl σ complex were investigated by combining experimental and theoretical data. The novel push–pull complex, appropriately end capped with an anchoring carboxylic acid function, was further adsorbed onto a semiconducting metal oxide porous thin film to serve as a photosensitizer in hybrid solar cells. The resulting photoactive material, when embedded in dye‐sensitized solar cell devices, showed a good spectral response with a broad incident photon‐to‐current conversion efficiency profile and a power conversion efficiency that reached 7.3 %. Thus, this material paves the way to a new generation of organometallic chromophores for photovoltaic applications.  相似文献

Porphyrin dyes containing the carbazole electron donor have been designed and optimized by wrapping the porphyrin framework, introducing an additional ethynylene bridge to extend the wavelength range of light absorption, and further suppression of the dye aggregation by introducing additional alkoxy chains. Application of a cosensitization approach results in improved current density (Jsc) and open‐circuit voltage (Voc) values, thus achieving the highest cell efficiency of 10.45 %. This work provides an effective combined strategy of molecular design and cosensitization for developing efficient dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). In addition, carbazole has been demonstrated to be a promising donor for porphyrin sensitizers.  相似文献

Molybdenum disulfide nanosheets covalently modified with porphyrin were prepared and fully characterized. Neither the porphyrin absorption nor its fluorescence was notably affected by covalent linkage to MoS2. The use of transient absorption spectroscopy showed that a complex ping‐pong energy‐transfer mechanism, namely from the porphyrin to MoS2 and back to the porphyrin, operated. This study reveals the potential of transition‐metal dichalcogenides in photosensitization processes.  相似文献

Trisubstituted allenes with a 3‐(1′‐alkenylidene)‐pyrrolidin‐2‐one motif were successfully deracemized (13 examples, 86–98 % ee) employing visible light (λ=420 nm) and a chiral triplet sensitizer as the catalyst (2.5 mol %). The photocatalyst likely operates by selective recognition of one allene enantiomer via hydrogen bonds and by a triplet‐sensitized racemization process. Even a tetrasubstituted allene (45 % ee) and a seven‐membered 3‐(1′‐alkenylidene)‐azepan‐2‐one (62 % ee) could be enantiomerically enriched under the chosen conditions. It was shown that the axial chirality of the allenes can be converted into point chirality by a Diels–Alder (94–97 % ee) or a bromination reaction (91 % ee). Ring opening of the five‐membered pyrrolidin‐2‐one was achieved without significantly compromising the integrity of the chirality axis (92 % ee).  相似文献
