The present paper describes the applicability of the active flow control device, mini electromagnetic flap actuators attached on the leading edge of an airfoil, for the flow separation under both the steady and the unsteady flow conditions in the low Reynolds number region. At first, lift and drag have been measured for a wide variety of the wind speed Reynolds numbers and the angles of attack for the steady flow condition. Then, effects of some simple feedback flow controls, where the time-dependent signal of the lift-drag ratio have been used to detect the stall and served as a trigger to start the actuation, have been explored under the unsteady flow condition for evading the stall. In every low Reynolds number ranging from 30 000 to 80 000, the present actuators worked quite well to delay the stall, increasing in the lift and delaying the stall angle of attack. These aerodynamic modifications by the flap actuators obtained from the steady flow were found to be available even if the manipulation of the actuators started after the stall. Activation threshold of the lift-drag ratio as the input for the feedback control was determined from a stall classification map obtained under the steady flow experiment. Effectiveness of this feedback control was then demonstrated under the condition of the wind speed decrease (Reynolds number from 80 000 to 40 000) keeping the angle of attack constant at 11°, at which the stall occurs without the active control. Immediately after the sudden velocity decrease, the decrease in the lift-drag ratio were detected and the dynamic actuations were successfully started, resulting in evading the stall and keeping high and stable lift. An additional operation of the feedback, in which the running actuation is turned off when the lift-drag ratio shows lower than the second threshold value after operation, was revealed to be effective to keep the high lift force under the condition combined with the wind speed increase and decrease within the low Reynolds number range treated in this study. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a sinusoidal phase modulating (SPM) interferometer that is insensitive to external disturbances, and its measuring principle is analyzed theoretically. In the SPM interferometer, the interference signal is detected by a high-speed image sensor based on a low-speed CCD and a signal processing circuit is used to obtain the phase of each point on the surface. Therefore, the surface profile can be measured real-time. The experiments measuring the surface profile of a wedge-shaped optical flat show that the measurement time of the SPM interferometer is less than 10 ms, the repetitive measurement accuracy is 4.2 nm. Analysis and control of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection have attracted the interests of mathematicians and control engineers during the recent years. Several mathematical models exist and adequately explain the interaction of the HIV infection and the immune system up to the stage of clinical latency, as well as viral suppression and immune system recovery after treatment therapy. However, none of these models can completely exhibit all that is observed clinically and account the full course of infection. Besides model inaccuracies that HIV models suffer from, some disturbances/uncertainties from different sources may arise in the modelling. In this paper we study the basic properties of a 6-dimensional HIV model that describes the interaction of HIV with two target cells, CD4+ T cells and macrophages. The disturbances are modelled in the HIV model as additive bounded disturbances. Highly Active AntiRetroviral Therapy (HAART) is used. The control input is defined to be dependent on the drug dose and drug efficiency. We developed treatment schedules for HIV infected patients by using robust multirate Model Predictive Control (MPC)-based method. The MPC is constructed on the basis of the approximate discrete-time model of the nominal model. We established a set of conditions, which guarantee that the multirate MPC practically stabilizes the exact discrete-time model with disturbances. The proposed method is applied to the stabilization of the uninfected steady state of the HIV model. The results of simulations show that, after initiation of HAART with a strong dosage, the viral load drops quickly and it can be kept under a suitable level with mild dosage of HAART. We propose and study a mutualism model with feedback controls. By applying a new differential inequality, we show that the conditions which ensure the permanence of the system are the same as that of the model without feedback controls, which means that the feedback control variables have no influence on the persistent property of the system. The band-limited linear predictive coding (BLPC) vocoder-based adaptive feedback cancellation (AFC) removes the high-frequency bias, while the low frequency bias persists between the desired input signal and the loudspeaker signal in the estimate of the feedback path. In this paper, we present a BLPC vocoder-based adaptive feedback canceller with probe noise with an objective of reducing the low-frequency bias in digital hearing-aids. A step-wise mathematical analysis of the proposed feedback canceller is presented employing the recursive least square and normalized least mean square adaptive algorithms. It is observed that the optimal solution of the feedback path is unbiased for an unshaped probe noise, but is biased for a shaped probe signal; the bias term does not consist of correlation between the desired input and the loudspeaker output. The identifiability conditions are analysed and it is shown that a delay, greater than or equal to the length of the adaptive filter, must be introduced in the forward path to achieve an unbiased feedback path estimate. Algorithm analysis and computer simulations presented in this paper justify the reason for selecting the proposed design over the existing BLPC vocoder-based feedback cancellation algorithm. 相似文献

This paper proposes a robust controller which combines a feedback linearization controller with a disturbance observer. This controller can suppress the chaotic motion of an unknown nonlinear system even though it receives an unknown external force.
