Shape Hessian for generalized Oseen flow by differentiability of a minimax: A Lagrangian approach

The goal of this paper is to compute the shape Hessian for a generalized Oseen problem with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition by the velocity method. The incompressibility will be treated by penalty approach. The structure of the shape gradient and shape Hessian with respect to the shape of the variable domain for a given cost functional are established by an application of the Lagrangian method with function space embedding technique. Lattice gas generalization of the hard hexagon model. II. The local densities as elliptic functions

In a previous paper we considered an extension of the hard hexagon model to a solvable two-dimensional lattice gas with at most two particles per pair of adjacent sites. Here we use various mathematical identities (in particular Gordon's generalization of the Rogers-Ramanujan relations) to express the local densities in terms of elliptic functions. The characteristic of noncompact convexity and random fixed point theorem for set-valued operators

Let (Ω, Σ) be a measurable space, X a Banach space whose characteristic of noncompact convexity is less than 1, C a bounded closed convex subset of X, KC(C) the family of all compact convex subsets of C. We prove that a set-valued nonexpansive mapping T: C → KC(C) has a fixed point. Furthermore, if X is separable then we also prove that a set-valued nonexpansive operator T: Ω × C → KC(C) has a random fixed point.     

Two long-standing problems in Tsallis’ statistics

On the basis of Tsallis’ entropy and the joint probability factorization condition, two controversial problems existing in Tsallis’ statistics are investigated, where one is whether energy is extensive or not and the other is whether it is necessary to introduce the so-called generalized zeroth law of thermodynamics or not. The results obtained show clearly that like entropy, energy is also nonextensive in Tsallis’ statistics, and that the zeroth law of thermodynamics has been implicitly used in Tsallis’ statistics since 1988. Moreover, it is expounded that the standard energy additivity rule adopted by a great number of researchers is not suitable in Tsallis’ statistics, because its corollary is in contradiction with the zeroth law of thermodynamics.     

带有背景矢量场的标量场暗能量模型

讨论了带有背景矢量场的动力学标量场作为暗能量在闭宇宙的情形下的演化. 选取适当的标量场势函数后, 在得到的暗能量有效状态方程中, 参数w在红移z≈0.2处可以越过－1, 而且在z≈1.7处宇宙从减速膨胀的状态转变为加速膨胀状态, 这与最近的宇宙学观测相符.

Almost-sure path properties of fractional Brownian sheet

The almost sure sample function behavior of the vector-valued fractional Brownian sheet is investigated. In particular, the global and the local moduli of continuity of the sample functions are studied. These results give precise information about the continuity and the oscillation behavior of the sample functions.     

Reducing system of parameters and the Cohen-Macaulay property

Let R be a local ring and let (x ₁, …, x _r) be part of a system of parameters of a finitely generated R-module M, where r < dim_R M. We will show that if (y ₁, …, y _r) is part of a reducing system of parameters of M with (y ₁, …, y _r) M = (x ₁, …, x _r) M then (x ₁, …, x _r) is already reducing. Moreover, there is such a part of a reducing system of parameters of M iff for all primes P ε Supp M ∩ V _R(x ₁, …, x _r) with dim_R R/P = dim_R M − r the localization M _P of M at P is an r-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay module over R _P. Furthermore, we will show that M is a Cohen-Macaulay module iff y _d is a non zero divisor on M/(y ₁, …, y _d−1) M, where (y ₁, …, y _d) is a reducing system of parameters of M (d:= dim_R M).
