对BJH方法计算孔径分布过程的解读

This paper introduces the geometric assumptions and neglects of the pore size distribution calculated by BJH method, the arithmetic approximation for simplified calculation, the derivation process of each parameter, the calculation steps and key points of the pore size distribution. This paper also introduces the application scope of BJH method at the current instrument level, and how to further integrate the data. In order to get the required analysis and test report, references are provided for the subsequent adjustment of test parameters and improvement of test methods. Some problems often encountered in reading experimental reports are also discussed.     

Progress on intelligent hydrogels based on RAFT polymerization: Design strategy,fabrication and the applications for controlled drug delivery

Although intelligent hydrogels have shown bright potential application in biomedical fields,they were prepared by conventional methods and still face many serious challenges,such as uncontrollable stimulus-response and low response sensitivity.Recently,RAFT polymerization provides a versatile strategy for the fabrication of intelligent hydrogels with improved stimulus-response properties,owing to the ability to efficiently construct hydrogel precursors with well-defined structure,such as block copolymer,graft copolymer,star copolymer.In this review,we summarized the recent progress on intelligent hydrogels based on RAFT polymerization with emphasis on their fabrication strategies and applications for controlled drug delivery.     

Tofu as excellent scaffolds for potential bone regeneration

Biomimetic scaffolds present the promising potential for bone regeneration. As a natural gel-like traditional food, tofu with porous architecture and proved biological safety indicated a good potential to be a natural scaffold and easy to be improved by surface modification. Hereon, we fabricated the tofu-based scaffolds and systematically explored the potential for bone tissue engineering. In addition, the collagen has been introduced by simple coating to further enhance the surface compatibility of the tofu-based scaffold in bone regeneration. The results showed that the tofu-based scaffolds possessed good porous structure and cytocompatibility. Notably, the tofu-based scaffolds could improve the expression of osteogenesis-related genes and proteins, leading to better bone regeneration after 2 months of implantation. All the results indicated that tofu would become an outstanding sustainable natural porous scaffold for bone regeneration with excellent bioactivities.

Artificial Water Channels: Towards Biomimetic Membranes for Desalination

Natural Aquaporin (AQP) channels are efficient water translocating proteins, rejecting ions. Inspired by this masterpiece of nature, Artificial Water Channels (AWCs) with controlled functional structures, can be potentially used to mimic the AQPs to a certain extent, offering flexible avenues toward biomimetic membranes for water purification. The objective of this paper is to trace the historical development and significant advancements of current reported AWCs. Meanwhile, we attempt to reveal important structural insights and supramolecular self-assembly principles governing the selective water transport mechanisms, toward innovative AWC-based biomimetic membranes for desalination.

Construction of dsDNA biosensor based on dendritic SiO2 nanoparticle and investigation on its interaction with benzo[a]pyrene

In this work, a new dsDNA biosensor was constructed to monitor the interaction of DNA and benzo[a]pyrene (BaP). Firstly, dendritic SiO₂ nanoparticles were synthesized by silanization of SiO₂ nanoparticles with (??-(methacryloyloxy)propyl) trimethoxysilane and polymerization with acrylic acid. Then, due to the rich carboxyl groups of these nanoparticles, they were associated with the amino groups of a self-assembly membrane formed on the gold electrode by a sulfur-containing compound, 5-amino-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole. Finally, dsDNA was immobilized on the electrode surface by static adsorption with the aid of metallic ion. The whole immobilization steps were characterized by cyclic voltammogram and electrochemical impedance spectrum. After that, using methylene blue as a probe, the interaction of BaP with dsDNA was investigated. A linear relationship between the percentages of current decrease with the logarithm of BaP concentrations was found in the range from 0.33 to 133???M.
