This paper will describe the first-of-a-kind development and demonstration of dilute nitride strained layer superlattice detectors with detectivity as high as 4 × 1010 cm Hz1/2/W and cut-off wavelength of 11-μm for an LWIR design and a cut-off wavelength of 22-μm for a VLWIR design. The developed dilute nitride SLS detectors are based on ultra-low leakage dilute nitride epitaxial layers and/or strained layer superlattices (SLS) of InAs/InAsSbN and InAs/GaInSbN that could enable high VLWIR detectivities at elevated temperatures and at low cost. 相似文献

The recent advances in graphene isolation and synthesis methods have enabled potential applications of graphene in nanoelectronics and thermal management, and have offered a unique opportunity for investigation of phonon transport in two-dimensional materials. In this review, current understanding of phonon transport in graphene is discussed along with associated experimental and theoretical investigation techniques. Several theories and experiments have suggested that the absence of interlayer phonon scattering in suspended monolayer graphene can result in higher intrinsic basal plane thermal conductivity than that for graphite. However, accurate experimental thermal conductivity data of clean suspended graphene at different temperatures are still lacking. It is now known that contact of graphene with an amorphous solid or organic matrix can suppress phonon transport in graphene, although further efforts are needed to better quantify the relative roles of interface roughness scattering and phonon leakage across the interface and to examine the effects of other support materials. Moreover, opportunities remain to verify competing theories regarding mode specific scattering mechanisms and contributions to the total thermal conductivity of suspended and supported graphene, especially regarding the contribution from the flexural phonons. Several measurements have yielded consistent interface thermal conductance values between graphene and different dielectrics and metals. A challenge has remained in establishing a comprehensive theoretical model of coupled phonon and electron transport across the highly anisotropic and dissimilar interface. 相似文献

Graphene-based passively mode-locked erbium doped fiber laser is presented. Multilayer graphene was obtained by mechanical exfoliation of pure graphitic block and deposited on the fiber ferrule. The mode-locking performance was investigated under various laser pumping conditions. The laser could operate at fundamental repetition rate of 16.34 MHz with 844 fs pulse duration and 30 mW average output power. Also harmonic-mode locking of the laser is demonstrated. 294 and 800 MHz repetition rates were obtained (corresponding to the 18th and 49th harmonic of the fundamental repetition frequency, respectively) with nearly transform-limited pulses. 相似文献

We have fabricated an electrochromic (EC) device with poly(2,5-dimethoxyaniline), PDMA, entrapped in poly(styrene sulfonic acid) (PSS) as an electrochromic layer. The device showed improved performances like stability, optical contrast, etc., over the device with a PDMA layer doped by H2SO4. In the process of fabrication of the EC device with a sandwich configuration, indium tin oxide (ITO)/PDMA–PSS||poly(ethyleneimine) (PEI)/orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4)/WO3/ITO, electrochemical polymerization of 2,5-dimethoxyaniline (DMA) was performed with PSS as electrolyte and ITO coated glass as working electrode. The performance characteristics of EC device, like optical contrast, stability, switching time, etc., were followed by cyclic voltammetry, double potential step chronoamperometry and in-situ spectroelectrochemistry. The device was operated in between − 1 V and + 1 V, and absorption characteristics were followed by in-situ UV–visible spectroscopy. A visible contrast in color upon switching the potential from − 1 V to + 1 V was noticed for the device. The device was pale yellow at − 1 V and dark green at + 1 V. Incorporation of PSS into PDMA resulted enhancement in the performance of the complementary electrochromic device. The optical contrast of the device was improved by incorporating PSS into PDMA matrix. The device retained nearly 50% of their optical contrast after 10,000 double steps informing the superior performance of PDMA–PSS in the EC device. 相似文献

An improved phase unwrapping method is proposed to reduce the projection fringes in three-dimensional (3D) surface measurement. Color fringe patterns are generated by encoding with sinusoidal fringe and stair phase fringe patterns in red and blue channels. These color fringe patterns are projected onto the tested objects and then captured by a color CCD camera. The recorded fringe patterns are separated into their RGB components. Two groups of four-step phase-shifting fringe patterns are obtained. One group of the stripes are four sinusoidal patterns, which are used to determine the wrapped phase. The other group of stripes are four sinusoidal patterns with the codeword embedded into stair phase, whose stair changes are perfectly aligned with the 2π discontinuities of sinusoidal fringe phase, which are used to determine the fringe order for the phase unwrapping. The experimental results are analyzed and compared with those of the method in Zheng and Da (2012. Opt Express 20(22):24139–24150). The results show that the proposed method needs only four fringe patterns while having less error. It can effectively reduce the number of projection fringes and improve the measuring speed. 相似文献

Currently, there are many studies have conducted on developing security of the digital image in order to protect such data while they are sending on the internet. This work aims to propose a new approach based on a hybrid model of the Tinkerbell chaotic map, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and cellular automata (CA). DNA rules, DNA sequence XOR operator and CA rules are used simultaneously to encrypt the plain-image pixels. To determine rule number in DNA sequence and also CA, a 2-dimension Tinkerbell chaotic map is employed. In this paper we present an adaptive scheme to achieve lag synchronization for uncertain dynamical systems with time delays and unknown parameters. In contrast to the nonlinear feedback scheme reported in the previous literature, the proposed controller is a linear one which only involves simple feedback information from the drive system with signal popagation lags. Besides, the unknown parameters can also be identified via the proposed updating laws in spite of the existence of model delays and transmission lags, as long as the linear independence condition between the related function elements is satisfied. Two examples, i.e., the Mackey-Glass model with single delay and the Lorenz system with multiple delays, are employed to show the effectiveness of this approach. Some robustness issues are also discussed, which shows that the proposed scheme is quite robust in switching and noisy environment. 相似文献
