In this paper, we show that \(L^2(\mu _{\rho , \{0, a_n, b_n\}})\) admits an exponential orthonormal basis if and only if \(\rho ^{-1} \in 3{{\mathbb {N}}}\) and  \(\{a_n, b_n\} \equiv \{1, 2\} \ (\mathrm {mod} \ 3)\) for all \(n \in {{\mathbb {N}}}\).

This paper is aimed at a detailed study of the multifractal analysis of the so-called divergence points in the system of \(\beta \)-expansions. More precisely, let \(T_{\beta }\) be the \(\beta \)-transformation on [0, 1) for a general \(\beta >1\) and \(\psi :[0,1]\mapsto \mathbb {R}\) be a continuous function. Denote by \(\textsf {A}(\psi ,x)\) all the accumulation points of \(\{\frac{1}{n}\sum _{j=0}^{n-1}\psi (T^jx): n\ge 1\}\). The Hausdorff dimensions of the sets

Euler numbers of the second kind were introduced as special cases of hypergeometric Euler numbers of the second kind in Komatsu and Zhu (Hypergeometric Euler numbers, 2016, arXiv:1612.06210), so that they would supplement hypergeometric Euler numbers. In this paper, we study generalized Euler numbers of the second kind and give several properties and applications.

We introduce the concept of cumulative Parisian ruin, which is based on the time spent in the red by the underlying surplus process. Our main result is an explicit representation for the distribution of the occupation time, over a finite-time horizon, for a compound Poisson process with drift and exponential claims. The Brownian ruin model is also studied in details. Finally, we analyse for a general framework the relationships between cumulative Parisian ruin and classical ruin, as well as with Parisian ruin based on exponential implementation delays.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of interlacing of Hurwitz series. We begin by reviewing some important properties of the ring of Hurwitz series over a commutative ring A of arbitrary characteristic, and we introduce and investigate properties of the maps exp and log. We show that solutions of linear homogeneous differential equations with constant coefficients from the ring A can be described simply as interlacings of solutions of a first order system of differential equations. We give several examples to illustrate this result, and we conclude by defining and investigating properties of trigonometric functions using interlacings of Hurwitz series.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the issue of admissibility of linear estimated functions of parameters in the multivariate linear model with respect to inequality constraints under a matrix loss and a matrix balanced loss. Under the matrix loss, when the model is not constrained, the results in the class of non-homogeneous linear estimators [Xie, 1989, Chinese Sci. Bull., 1148–1149; Xie, 1993, J. Multivariate Anal., 1071–1074] showed that the admissibility under the matrix loss and the trace loss is equivalent. However, when the model is constrained by the inequality constraints, we find this equivalency is not tenable, our result shows that the admissibility of linear estimator does not depend on the constraints again under this matrix loss, but it is contrary under the trace loss [Wu, 2008, Linear Algebra Appl., 2040–2048], and it is also relative to the constraints under another matrix loss [He, 2009, Linear Algebra Appl., 241–250]. Under the matrix balanced loss, the necessary and sufficient conditions that the linear estimators are admissible in the class of homogeneous and non-homogeneous linear estimators are obtained, respectively. These results will support the theory of admissibility on the linear model with inequality constraints.  相似文献
