Multi-objective optimal design of feedback controls for dynamical systems with hybrid simple cell mapping algorithm

This paper presents a study of multi-objective optimal design of full state feedback controls. The goal of the design is to minimize several conflicting performance objective functions at the same time. The simple cell mapping method with a hybrid algorithm is used to find the multi-objective optimal design solutions. The multi-objective optimal design comes in a set of gains representing various compromises of the control system. Examples of regulation and tracking controls are presented to validate the control design.     

Existence ofdensities for functionals of the single jump process

By considering an integration-by-parts formula for functionals of a single jump process, conditions under which the densities of such functionals exist are given. A criterion under which the density to be in L^Pwith respect to the Lebesgue measure is also stated     

The Lyapunov–Movchan method in problems of the stability of flows and deformation processes

The extension of Lyapunov's method to continuous mechanical systems are discussed. An annotated bibliography of papers is given in which, based on the Lyapunov–Movchan method, with the construction of corresponding functionals, a direct analysis is carried out of the stability of motion (deformation) of continuous mechanical systems. The material is divided into sections, devoted to the following: (a) the extension of the mathematical apparatus as a whole to continuous and dynamic systems, (b) the stability of elastic, elastoplastic and viscoelastic deformable solids, (c) stability in aeroelasticity and hydroelasticity theory, (d) the linearized theory of hydrodynamic stability, and (e) the stability with reference to perturbations of material functions in the theory of constitutive relations.

Construction of Wavelet Sets Using Integral Self-Affine Multi-tiles

Gabardo and Yu first considered using integral self-affine tiles in the Fourier domain to construct wavelet sets and they produced a class of compact wavelet sets with certain self-similarity properties. In this paper, we generalize their results to the integral self-affine multi-tiles setting. We characterize some analytic properties of integral self-affine multi-tiles under certain conditions. We also consider the problem of constructing (multi)wavelet sets using integral self-affine multi-tiles.     

On an asymptotic analysis of polynomial approximation to halfband filters

In this paper we provide information about the asymptotic properties of polynomial filters which approximate the ideal filter. In particular, we study this problem in the special case of polynomial halfband filters. Specifically we estimate the error between a polynomial filter and an ideal filter and show that the error decays exponentially fast. For the special case of polynomial halfband filters, our n-th root asymptotic error estimates are sharp.
