Rhodium-catalyzed 1,4-addition of alkenylzirconocene chlorides to electron deficient alkenes

The 1,4-conjugated addition of alkenylzirconocene chloride complexes to α,β-enones, α,β-enoic acid esters, and α,β-enoic acid amides can be efficiently achieved by the use of [RhCl(cod)]₂ catalyst. A high diastereoselectivity (95% yield, 90% de) was obtained through the reaction of α,β-enoic acid amide derived from Oppolzer's sultam and 2-butenoyl chloride, while the use of Evans' chiral oxazolidinone as a chiral auxiliary in place of Oppolzer's sultam gave a poor diastereoselectivity (98% yield, 26% de).     

Stereological simulations of asymmetric polymerization in channels of bile acid inclusion compounds: A detailed analysis of the monomer arrangements in the channels

We studied simulations by computer graphics to estimate the steric mechanism of the asymmetric polymerization of prochiral diene monomers in channels of inclusion compounds of steroidal bile acids, such as deoxycholic acid (DCA) and cholic acid. We applied a hierarchization method to interpret the crystal structures of bile acids, clarifying that the chiral host molecules associated to form characteristic 2₁-helical assemblies with uneven surfaces. A detailed analysis of the uneven channels in a close-packing state indicated that there were many possible arrangements of the monomers in the channels. The plausible arrangements in the channel could explain a previous study, which showed that the polymerization in the DCA channel yielded chiral polymers with a predominant configuration from prochiral diene monomers, such as 2-methyl-trans-1,3-pentadiene. On the basis of such simulation studies of the arrangements of guest monomers in the channel, we examined a plausible steric mechanism for asymmetric inclusion polymerization. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 屋顶绿化对提高城市空气质量、减少“热岛效应”、改善居住环境有积极的意义，但其灌溉环节与普通园林绿化灌溉相比有更高的要求．为了增强屋顶灌溉的科学性，根据其特点提出了建立自动灌溉系统的设想，并对灌溉过程建立了混杂自动机模型，从离散事件动态系统与连续变量动态系统的角度共同描述了自动灌溉的过程，最后给出了自动灌溉系统的工程设计方案，对屋顶绿化自动化、精细化程度的提高具有一定的启示意义．     

Stability criterion for synchronization of linearly coupled unified chaotic systems

This paper investigates the synchronization of two linearly coupled unified chaotic systems. A new stability criterion for asymptotic synchronization is attained using the Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. A numerical example is given to illuminate the design procedure and advantage of the result derived.
