Composition operators on Hardy spaces of Riemann surfaces

Our purpose is to define composition operators acting upon Hardy spaces of Riemann surfaces. In terms of counting functions related to analytic self-map on Riemann surfaces, the boundedness and compactness are characterized.     

LOCAL BENDING OF THIN FILM ON VISCOUS LAYER

Effects of deposition layer position film are systematically investigated. Because the and number/density on local bending of a thin deposition layer interacts with the thin film at the interface and there is an offset between the thin film neutral surface and the interface, the deposition layer generates not only axial stress but also bending moment. The bending moment induces an instant out-of-plane deflection of the thin film, which may or may not cause the socalled local bending. The deposition layer is modeled as a local stressor, whose location and density are demonstrated to be vital to the occurrence of local bending. The thin film rests on a viscous layer, which is governed by the Navier-Stokes equation and behaves like an elastic foundation to exert transverse forces on the thin film. The unknown feature of the axial constraint force makes the governing equation highly nonlinear even for the small deflection chse. The constraint force and film transverse deflection are solved iteratively through the governing equation and the displacement constraint equation of immovable edges. This research shows that in some special cases, the deposition density increase does not necessarily reduce the local bending. By comparing the thin film deflections of different deposition numbers and positions, we also present the guideline of strengthening or suppressing the local bending.     

Evolutionary games with facilitators: When does selection favor cooperation?

We study the combined influence of selection and random fluctuations on the evolutionary dynamics of two-strategy (“cooperation” and “defection”) games in populations comprising cooperation facilitators. The latter are individuals that support cooperation by enhancing the reproductive potential of cooperators relative to the fitness of defectors. By computing the fixation probability of a single cooperator in finite and well-mixed populations that include a fixed number of facilitators, and by using mean field analysis, we determine when selection promotes cooperation in the important classes of prisoner’s dilemma, snowdrift and stag-hunt games. In particular, we identify the circumstances under which selection favors the replacement and invasion of defection by cooperation. Our findings, corroborated by stochastic simulations, show that the spread of cooperation can be promoted through various scenarios when the density of facilitators exceeds a critical value whose dependence on the population size and selection strength is analyzed. We also determine under which conditions cooperation is more likely to replace defection than vice versa.

Preparation of Mn<Subscript>3</Subscript>O<Subscript>4</Subscript> nanowires by calcining the precursor powders synthesized in a novel inverse microemulsion

Manganese oxide (hausmannite) nanowires were prepared by annealing precursor powders at a temperature of 800 °C for 3 h, which were produced in a novel inverse microemulsion (IμE) system. The microstructures of the as-prepared Mn₃O₄ nanowires were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and Raman spectra. It has been found that the Mn₃O₄ nanowires were relatively straight and their surfaces were smooth with a typical diameter of 75–150 nm. The formation mechanism of the Mn₃O₄ nanowires is discussed. Distribution of Cardinalities of Row Spaces of Boolean Matrices of Order n

Let R(A) denote the row space of a Boolean matrix A of order n. We show that if n 7, then the cardinality |R(A)| (2^n–1 - 2^n–5, 2^n–1 - 2^n–6) U (2^n–1 - 2^n–6, 2^n–1). 具有空间重叠性和时间同步性的双波长TEA CO2激光器研究

提出了一种改进的双波长TEA CO2激光器,不仅具有良好的空间重叠性,而且具有比较理想的时间同步性.该激光器由两个空间上部分重叠的光栅和一个锗镜构成光栅-平面腔,两个光栅前后放置,相互利用,共同建立双频振荡,由锗镜输出双波长激光.通过改变两光栅的有效面积,对两输出脉冲空间重叠性进行调节;通过改变两光栅的角度形成的失谐缩小输出脉冲的时间间隔,达到时间同步性.实验表明,可以在空间重叠性的基础上使两输出脉冲的时间间隔由1 000 ns调整到200 ns.     

YBa2Cu3O7-δ/La0.6Pb0.4MnO3多层膜的制备及激光感生热电电压效应的研究

采用脉冲激光沉积法在倾斜LaAlO3(100)衬底上制备了(YBa2Cu3O7-δ/La0.6Pb0.4MnO)L(L为多层膜周期数)外延多层膜.X射线衍射谱显示(YBCO/LPMO)L多层膜沿c轴生长.观察到多层膜中有很大的激光感生热电电压(LITV)出现,与YBa2Cu3O7-δ(YBCO)和La0.6Pb0.4MnO3(LPMO)单层膜相比,多层膜的LITV信号有约一个数量级的增强.讨论了影响(YBCO/LPMO)L多层膜的LITV效应的因素.     

Chemical constituents from Schisandra sphenanthera

The chemical constituents of the stems of Schisandra sphenanthera are described for the first time. This investigation has resulted in the isolation of a new phenolic glycoside （1）, along with seven known compounds. The structure of 1 was assigned by using spectroscopic techniques, including 2D NMR spectra.
