Intratracheal instillation of a GaAs suspension has been histopathologically shown to induce a diffuse pulmonary response. In the present study, magnetometry was used to evaluate the effects of intratracheally instilled GaAs and Ga2O3 on the behavior of externally magnetized iron oxide (Fe3O4) particles instilled in rabbit lung. Magnetometric evaluation of the effects of GaAs in rabbits dosed with 30 mg or 300 mg per animal showed a significantly decreased relaxation of iron oxide particles at 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days following instillation compared with the controls. On the other hand, in the rabbits exposed to Ga2O3, significantly reduced decay constants were observed only on the first and third days following instillation. Relaxation indicates a rapid decrease of remanent magnetic field following magnetization of the lungs due to random rotation of phagocytosed iron oxide particles in macrophages. Clearance of the iron oxide particles was measured by serial determinations of the remanent magnetic field at the end of magnetization estimated from relaxation curves. Clearance was significantly impaired at 14, 21 and 28 days after instillation in rabbits exposed to both doses of GaAs. Slightly delayed clearance was also observed in rabbits exposed to Ga2O3. Histological examination of lungs instilled with GaAs indicated active phagocytosis of GaAs and iron oxide particles by pulmonary macrophages, as well as pneumonocytes hyperplasia with marked thickening of the alveolar walls. Minimal histological changes with retention of iron oxide particles were found in the lungs exposed to Ga2O3.  相似文献

The phonon dispersion relations of monolayer graphite on Pt(111), NbC(111) and NbC(001) were measured by electron energy loss spectroscopy. The monolayer graphite on Ni surfaces has been reported to show large softening, while that on Pt(111) was found to indicate little softening and rather resembled pristine graphite. Similarly, the monolayer graphite on NbC(111) indicated fairly large softening but that on NbC(001) did not. This difference is discussed in relation with the interface structure.  相似文献

Equipment has been developed for the early-stage diagnosis and treatment of cancer using an excimer dye laser. The excimer laser beam is obtained by exciting XeCl. A 405 nm beam tuned by DPS dye is used for tumour localization and a 630 nm beam obtained with a rhodamine B dye is used for treatment. The equipment was applied clinically on the basis of extensive experimental research. Effectiveness for cancer localization was examined in 11 cases: four were early stage (three lung cancer and one vocal cord cancer), four were stage I, two were stage III and one was stage IV. All cases were squamous cell carcinoma except for one case of adenocarcinoma. Fluorescence was recognized in all lesions and the equipment was effective for localization.  相似文献

Drinfeld twist is applied to the Lie algebra gl(2) so that a two-parametric deformation of it is obtained, which is identical to the Jordanian deformation of the gl(2) obtained by Aneva et al. The same twist element is applied to deform the Lie superalgebra sl(1/2), since the gl(2) is embedded into the sl(1/2). Polyethylene films were evaporated in gas plasmas of Ar, N2, O2, and H2O. The deposits were analyzed by infrared (IR) spectroscopy to determine the concentration of characteristic functional groups. The deposit prepared in Ar-atmosphere had a rather high concentration of methyl group and many double bonds were produced in the film. The deposits prepared in Ar- and N2-plasmas produced similar spectra, which showed twice the concentration of methyl group than the deposit in Ar-atmosphere and also contained a few carbonyl and hydroxyl groups. The film treated in O2-plasma contained the largest amount of carbonyl group and the lowest number of double bonds among the plasma-treated deposits. Dielectric loss curves against temperature for the deposits treated in these plasmas showed a broad peak near 20°C. For O2-plasma-treated film the loss tangent curves showed a sharp maximum. The activation energy for the relaxation of Ar-, O2-, and H2O-plasma-treated films had the same value of 50.6 kcal/mol. The observed relaxation in the films prepared in gas plasmas was considered due to the β process and was attributed to the motion of oxidized branched polyethylene.  相似文献

Three compounds having 1,2-diol structure (1-phenyl-1,2-ethanediol, 3-phenoxy-1,2-propanediol, and 3-benzyloxy-1,2-propanediol) were enantioseparated by ligand exchange MEKC using (5S)-pinanediol (SPD) as a chiral selector and borate anion as a central ion together with SDS. When (S)-1,2-propanediol, (S)-1,2,4-butanetriol, or (S)-3-tert-butylamino-1,2-propanediol were used as the chiral ligand instead of SPD, these three compounds were not enantioseparated. When borate was replaced with 2-aminoethane-1-sulfonate or N-cyclohexyl-3-aminopropanesulfonate, no chiral separation was achieved. Therefore, the hydrophobic interaction between the chiral selector and the chiral analytes within the transient diastereomeric complex may play an important role in the enantioseparation achieved by the proposed method.  相似文献

Simultaneous determination of melatonin and serotonin in rat pineal gland is described using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorimetric detection. These indoles were analysed isocratically within 15 min. In this work, veratric acid (3,4-dimethoxybenzoic acid), which has fluorescence characteristics (lambda ex = 290 nm, lambda em = 350 nm) around the wavelength of native fluorescence of melatonin (lambda ex = 285 nm, lambda em = 345 nm), was used as an internal standard. This method was applied to the determination of melatonin and serotonin in male and female rat pineal gland. No significant differences between the two groups were observed in the pineal melatonin and serotonin contents. The pineal melatonin and serotonin contents were compared with the oestrous and the di-oestrous phases of female rats. They were not widely different from each other.  相似文献

Structure factors of dispersible units of carbon black filler in rubbers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We report the structures of dispersible units, a most fundamental but minimal dispersible structural unit of a carbon black (CB) filler that is formed in two kinds of rubber (polyisoprene and styrene-butadiene random copolymer) matrices under a given processing condition. The results obtained from various small-angle scattering techniques showed that the CB aggregates, as observed after the sonification of a CB/toluene solution, were a spherical shape composed of approximately nine primary CB particles fused together. In the rubber matrices, the aggregates clustered into higher order structures defined in this work as the dispersible units, which are the fundamental structural elements (or the "lower cutoff structures") that build up a higher order mass-fractal structure. Furthermore, we found that the morphology of the dispersible units strongly depended on the rubber matrix, although the mass-fractal dimensions remained unchanged.  相似文献
