Aristotelia chilensis is a plant rich in phenolics and other bioactive compounds. Their leaves are discarded as waste in the maqui berry industry. A new application of these wastes is intended by the recovery of bioactive compounds using pressurized hot water extraction with conventional or microwave heating. Both technologies have been selected for their green character regarding the type of solvent and the high efficiency in shorter operation times. Extractions were performed in the temperature range 140–200 °C with a solid/liquid ratio of 1:15 (w:w). The extracts’ total phenolic content, antioxidant capacity, and saccharides content obtained with both heating methods were measured. Additionally, the thermo-rheological properties of the gelling matrix enriched with these extracts were analyzed. Optimum conditions for lyophilized extracts were found with conventional heating, at 140 °C and 20 min extraction; 250.0 mg GAE/g dry extract and 1321.5 mg Trolox/g dry extract. Close to optimum performance was achieved with microwave heating in a fraction of the time (5 min) at 160 °C (extraction), yielding extracts with 231.9 mg GAE/g dry extract of total phenolics and antiradical capacity equivalent to 1176.3 mg Trolox/g dry extract. Slightly higher antioxidant values were identified for spray-dried extracts (between 5% for phenolic content and 2.5% for antioxidant capacity). The extracts obtained with both heating methods at 200 °C contained more than 20% oligosaccharides, primarily glucose. All the formulated gelling matrices enriched with the obtained extracts displayed intermediate gel strength properties. The tested technologies efficiently recovered highly active antioxidant extracts, rich in polyphenolics, and valuable for formulating gelling matrices with potential applicability in foods and other products.  相似文献

A new class of emissive cyclometallated IrIII−AuI complexes with a bis(diphenylphosphino) methanide bridging ligand was successfully synthesised from the diphosphino complex [Ir(N^C)2(dppm)]+ ( 1 ). The different gold ancillary ligand, a triphenylphosphine ( 2 ), a chloride ( 3 ) or a thiocytosine ( 4 ) did not reveal any significant effect on the photophysical properties, which are mainly due to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (3MLCT) transitions based on IrIII. However, the AuI fragment, along with the ancillary ligand, seemed crucial for the bioactivity in A549 lung carcinoma cells versus endothelial cells. Both cell types display variable sensitivities to the complexes (IC50=0.6–3.5 μM). The apoptotic pathway is activated in all cases, and paraptotic cell death seems to take place at initial stages in A549 cells. Species 2 – 4 showed at least dual lysosomal and mitochondrial biodistribution in A549 cells, with an initial lysosomal localisation and a possible trafficking process between both organelles with time. The bimetallic IrIII−AuI complexes disrupted the mitochondrial transmembrane potential in A549 cells and increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) inhibition in comparison with that displayed by the monometallic complex 1 . Angiogenic activity assays performed in endothelial cells revealed the promising antimetastatic potential of 1 , 2 and 4 .  相似文献

The known O2(1?g)‐sensitizer system Chitosan bounded Rose Bengal (CH‐RB), with Rose Bengal (RB) immobilized by irreversible covalent bonding to the polymer Chitosan (CH), soluble in aquous acidic medium, was employed in the photodegradation of three tri‐hydroxy benzene water‐contaminants (THBs). The system sensitizes the O2(1?g)‐mediated photodegradation of THBs by a process kinetically favored, as compared to that employing free RB dissolved in the same solvent. Additionally the free xanthene dye, degradable by O2(1?g) through self‐sensitization upon prolonged light‐exposure, is considerably protected when bonded to CH‐polymer. The polymeric sensitizer, totally insoluble in neutral medium, can be removed from the solution after the photodegradative cycle by precipitation through a simple pH change. This fact constitutes an interesting aspect in the context of photoremediation of confined polluted waters. In other words, the sensitizing system could be useful for avoiding to dissolve dyestuffs in the polluted waters, in order to act as conventional sunlight‐absorbing dye‐sensitizers. In parallel the interaction CH ‐ O2(1?g) in acidic solution was evaluated. The polymer quenches the oxidative species with a rate constant 2.4 × 108 M?1 s?1 being the process mostly attributable to a physical interaction. This fact promotes the photoprotection of the bonded dye in the CH‐RB polymer.  相似文献

The complexes [Cu(NHC)(NCMe)]BF4 (NHC=N-heterocyclic ligand), with bis(catecholato)diboron (B2(cat)2) as the boron source, efficiently catalyze the diboration of styrene with very high degrees of conversion. With the appropriate NHC ligand, the reaction proceeds quantitatively toward the diborated derivative PhCH(Bcat)--CH2(Bcat). The [styrene]/[B2(cat)2] ratio also has a strong effect on the selectivity: the use of an excess of styrene allows modification of the selectivity toward the formation solely of the monoborated derivative, PhCH2--CH2(Bcat). DFT calculations suggest that no oxidative addition processes take place at copper, but that intermediates containing coordinated sigma-bonds are involved in the catalytic cycle.  相似文献

In this paper a mathematical model describing the analytical signal obtained in fluorescence sensors is presented and compared with other commonly used models. The model starts from the Kubelka-Munk theory for solid surfaces but incorporates new theoretical improvements, being principally: (a) the increase in the effective optical pathlength due to the Scattering Induced Path Variation (SIPV), the incorporation of this parameter allows us to deduce that the fluorescence intensity from solid surfaces does not linearly change with the fluorophore concentrations; (b) the influence of the inner filter effect and how the error can be rectified and (c) the calculation of the scattering coefficients in sensor films for this kind of sensor. From this model it is possible to predict the effect of the fluorophore concentration, the sensor film scattering coefficient and the sample inner filter effect on the fluorescence signal. The conclusions obtained can be extended to other types of fluorescence measurements from solid surfaces.  相似文献

A series of mesoporous titania materials modified with tungstophosphoric acid (TPA) were successfully synthesized by using urea as low-cost template via sol-gel reactions, followed by removing the urea by extraction with water. They were characterized by FT-IR, 31P MAS-NMR, XRD, DTA-TGA, DRS, TEM and BET. The samples presented mesopores with a diameter higher than 3.0 nm. The S(BET) of the solids decreases with the increase of the TPA content and with the increase of the calcination temperature. According to FT-IR and 31P MAS-NMR studies the main species present in the samples is [PW12O40]3- anions, which was partially transformed into [P2W21O71]6- and [PW11O39]7- anion during the synthesis and drying step. The XRD patterns of the modified samples only exhibited the characteristic peaks of anatase phase. The presence of TPA retarded the crystallization of the anatase phase and its transformation into rutile phase. The point of zero charge decreased in parallel with the increment of tungstophosphoric acid in the samples and with the increase of the calcination temperature. The band gap energy decreased as a result of the introduction of TPA into the TiO2 matrix, but remained practically constant with the increase of the calcination temperature.  相似文献
