Accelerated degradation testing of long-wavelength (>1.25 µm) quantum-dot lasers made on GaAs substrates is carried out at a fixed current of 1.7 A, initial optical output of about 0.3 W, and a heat sink temperature of 60°C. The disturbances generated by external turbulence in the boundary layer on a flat plate set suddenly in motion are determined. A turbulent flow calculated by direct numerical simulation is taken as the initial conditions. The solution obtained simulates the initial stage of laminar-turbulent transition in the flat-plate boundary layer at a high turbulence level in the oncoming flow. The solution makes it possible to estimate the effects of different factors, such as nonstationarity, nonlinearity, and the parameters of the freestream velocity fluctuation spectrum, on disturbance enhancement in the boundary layer. 相似文献

The pulsating regime produced by the presence of a cylindrical cavity in a stationary inhomogeneous supersonic flow is simulated mathematically. The system of equations for an inviscid thermally nonconducting gas is solved by a numerical method based on a two-step difference scheme of second order of approximation. This method makes it possible to calculate in each time step the complete flow field at once, which makes it possible to follow the development of the nonstationary flow, which in the present case is a pulsating flow. The flow pattern in the pulsating regime is studied in detail. The pressure pulsations in the cavity are due to the alternating passage through it of shock waves and rarefaction waves, and the pulsations are nonlinear. The linear stability of a boundary layer flow with a spanwise-periodic nonuniformity in the velocity profile is investigated.
This flow can be considered as a model of a streaky structure occurring in the boundary layer at a high freestream turbulence
level. It is shown that for a small nonuniformity amplitude symmetric modes similar to Tollmien-Schlichting waves are the
most unstable. At higher nonuniformity amplitudes, antisymmetric modes, qualitatively different from Tollmien-Schlichting

The solution is found for the equations of a motion containing a shock wave which propagates through a quiescent gas with variable initial density and constant pressure. The effect of the nature of the supporting electrolyte in the composition of electrolytic suspensions containing dispersed particles of Fe(III) and Co(II) hydroxides, and of anodic and bipolar anodic-cathodic polarization on features of the formation, composition, and magnetic characteristics of oxide coatings is studied. In all cases, iron and cobalt are incorporated into the coatings and are concentrated predominantly in pores. The pores of the coatings include particles consisting of the reduced metals, presumably surrounded by oxide or hydroxide shells. The electrolyte composition affects the concentration and ratio of the metals in the particles. A correlation is observed between the ferro- or ferrimagnetism of the coatings and the content and ratio of cobalt and iron in the pores. 相似文献

The equilibrium adsorption of oxygen, nitrogen, and their mixtures on zeolite NaX at temperatures of from ?20 to +30°C was analyzed by statistical thermodynamics methods on the basis of the data published by Gorbunov et al. [1]. The regularization method was used to calculate the dependence of the internal energy and entropy of pure gases in zeolite cavities on the number of molecules per cavity. This substantially increased the reliability of the functions found. The heat of sorption as a function of the degree of filling and gas mixture composition was analyzed using the dependences obtained and a new algorithm developed for binary adsorption calculations. The formation of heteroepitaxial structures with InAs nanoclusters in an Si matrix during molecular-beam epitaxy and variations in the parameters of these structures due to thermal annealing are investigated by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED), medium-energy ion scattering (MEIS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It is demonstrated that the deposition of InAs onto the Si(100) surface at certain temperatures brings about the formation of tetrahedral nanopyramids with {111} orientation of the lateral faces. It is revealed that InAs nanoislands can be epitaxially overgrown with silicon, which leads to gradual smoothing of the three-dimensional relief. After annealing under vacuum, the Si/InAs/Si(100) structures are stable at tem-peratures up to 700°C. 相似文献
