We have designed and synthesized the benzoselenadiazole (BDS) based donor-acceptor-donor (D-A-D) π-conjugated compound 4,7-di((E)styryl)benzo[2,1,3]selenadiazole ( 1 ). A single-crystal study of 1 shows J-type molecular aggregation in the solid state. The crystal packing of 1 shows head-to-head dimeric intermolecular assembly via Se⋅⋅⋅N interactions while staircase-type interlock molecular packing has occurred via Se⋅⋅⋅π interaction. The staircase-type interlock packing of dimeric molecular arrangement induces sheet-type, herringbone type architecture along crystallographic a axis and ab plane via CH⋅⋅⋅π interactions. Interestingly, the J-type aggregation of 1 in solid state changes to H-type aggregation upon UV-irradiation. Moreover, our spectroscopic findings in solution state reveal H-type of aggregation of 1 in 90 % aqueous THF. We have further demonstrated white light emission in the binary mixture of 1 and 1-pyrenemethanol ( 2 ) in 90 % aqueous THF. Our study reveals solvent specific co-assembly of H-aggregated 1 and 2 in 90 % aqueous THF solution, which shows white light emissive properties with the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates (0.32, 0.31). The observed white light emission arises mainly due to the combination of red light from H-aggregated 1 , blue light from monomeric 2 and green light from excimers of 2 .  相似文献

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a common, inherited, incurable, fatal muscle wasting disease caused by deletions that disrupt the reading frame of the DMD gene such that no functional dystrophin protein is produced. Antisense oligonucleotide (AO)-directed exon skipping restores the reading frame of the DMD gene, and truncated, yet functional dystrophin protein is expressed. The aim of this study was to assess the efficiency of two novel rigid, cationic carotenoid lipids, C30-20 and C20-20, in the delivery of a phosphorodiamidate morpholino (PMO) AO, specifically designed for the targeted skipping of exon 45 of DMD mRNA in normal human skeletal muscle primary cells (hSkMCs). The cationic carotenoid lipid/PMO-AO lipoplexes yielded significant exon 45 skipping relative to a known commercial lipid, 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-ethylphosphocholine (EPC).  相似文献

In this review article, the authors present up-to-date developments on experimental, modeling and field studies on the role of subsurface colloidal fines on contaminant transport in saturated porous media. It is a complex phenomenon in porous media involving several basic processes such as colloidal fines release, dispersion stabilization, migration and fines entrapment/plugging at the pore constrictions and adsorption at solid/liquid interface. The effects of these basic processes on the contaminant transport have been compiled. Here the authors first present the compilation on in situ colloidal fines sources, release, stabilization of colloidal dispersion and migration which are a function of physical and chemical conditions of subsurface environment and finally their role in inorganic and organic contaminants transport in porous media. The important aspects of this article are as follows: (i) it gives not only complete compilation on colloidal fines-facilitated contaminant transport but also reviews the new role of colloidal fines in contaminant retardation due to plugging of pore constrictions. This plugging phenomenon also depends on various factors such as concentration of colloidal fines, superficial velocity and bead-to-particle size ratio. This plugging-based contaminant transport can be used to develop containment technique in soil and groundwater remediation. (ii) It also presents the importance of critical salt concentration (CSC), critical ionic strength for mixed salt, critical shear stressor critical particle concentration (CPC) on in situ colloidal fines release and migration and consequently their role on contaminant transport in porous media. (iii) It also reviews another class of colloidal fines called biocolloids and their transport in porous media. Finally, the authors highlight the future research based on their critical review on colloid-associated contaminant transport in saturated porous media.  相似文献

Bulk Viscous anisotropic Bianchi-III cosmological models are investigated with time dependent gravitational and cosmological constants in the framework of Einstein’s general relativity. In order to get some useful information about the time varying nature of G and Λ, we have assumed an exponentially decaying rest energy density of the universe. The extracted Newtonian gravitational constant G varies with time but its time varying nature depends on bulk viscosity and the anisotropic nature of the model. The cosmological constant Λ is found to decrease with time to a small but positive value for the models.  相似文献

The toxicity studies of free 5‐[(E)‐2‐(aryl)‐1‐diazenyl]‐2‐hydroxybenzoic acid and 2‐[(E)‐2‐(3‐formyl‐4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1‐diazenyl]benzoic acid and their tri‐n‐butyltin(IV) complexes were evaluated by using sea urchin early developmental stages as recommended model organisms for toxicity tests. Tunable cis/trans prolyl amide bond configuration in substituted β-proline (β-Pro) and β-homoproline (β-Hpro) homodimers was explored, based on position and nature of the substituent. A new series of 1-((1-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)ethylidene)amino)-6-((arylidene)amino)-2-oxo-4-phenyl-1,2-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbonitriles (4a–o) have been synthesized for the development of antimicrobial agents. Newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes), Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus), and antifungal activity (Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus clavatus). These compounds were characterized by infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectra. The synthesized compounds 4b, 4e, 4 h, and 4k showed potent antimicrobial activity against tested microorganisms.  相似文献
