We study the nonequilibrium steady state realized in a general stochastic system attached to multiple heat baths. Starting from the detailed fluctuation theorem, we derive concise and suggestive expressions for the corresponding stationary distribution which are correct up to the second order in thermodynamic forces. The probability of a microstate eta is proportional to exp[Phi(eta)] where Phi(eta)=-[under summation operator]kbeta_{k}E_{k}(eta) is the excess entropy change. Here, E_{k}(eta) is the difference between two kinds of conditioned path ensemble averages of excess heat transfer from the kth heat bath whose inverse temperature is beta_{k}. This result can be easily extended to steady states maintained with other sources, e.g., particle current driven by an external force. Our expression may be verified experimentally in nonequilibrium states realized, for example, in mesoscopic systems.  相似文献

Incoherent eta photoproduction in nuclei is evaluated at forward angles within 4 to 9 GeV using a multiple scattering Monte Carlo cascade calculation with full eta-nucleus final-state interactions. The Primakoff, nuclear coherent and nuclear incoherent components of the cross sections fit remarkably well previous measurements for Be and Cu from Cornell, suggesting a destructive interference between the Coulomb and nuclear coherent amplitudes for Cu. The inelastic background of the data is consistently attributed to the nuclear incoherent part, which is clearly not isotropic as previously considered in Cornell's analysis. The respective Primakoff cross sections from Be and Cu give Gamma(eta-->gammagamma)=0.476(62) keV, where the quoted error is only statistical. This result is consistent with the Particle Data Group average of 0.510(26) keV and in sharp contrast (approximately 50%) with the value of 0.324(46) keV obtained at Cornell.  相似文献

We present a novel method to realize analog sum computation with a Bose-Einstein condensate in an optical lattice potential subject to controlled phase jumps. We use the method to implement the Gauss sum algorithm for factoring numbers. By exploiting higher order quantum momentum states, we are able to improve the algorithm's accuracy beyond the limits of the usual classical implementation.  相似文献

In the field of room acoustics, it is popular belief that the early and late reflections contribute to auditory source width (ASW) and listener envelopment (LEV), respectively. However, some papers have demonstrated results not necessarily in agreement with the belief. In this paper, a hypothesis is proposed to clarify the essentials of ASW and LEV from point of view of the auditory phenomenon. The hypothesis is that the components of reflections under and beyond the upper limit of validity for the law of the first wavefront contribute to ASW and LEV, respectively. Two experiments were performed to evaluate the hypothesis. In the first experiment, the results showed directly that the components of reflections under the upper limit of validity for the law contribute to ASW. In the second experiment, four kinds of threshold were measured to evaluate the relation between the effect and LEV: image-splitting which corresponds to the upper limit of validity for the law, LEV, reverberation perception, and reverberation disturbance. The results showed that the threshold of image-splitting coincides with the that of LEV. This suggests that the components of reflections beyond the upper limit of validity for the law contribute to LEV. In conclusion, it seems that the results of experiments shown in this paper favor the hypothesis.  相似文献

A novel method to fabricate FePt-ordered alloy thin films with (0 0 1) preferential orientation from Pt/Fe bi-layered films has been developed. It is able to omit post-annealing with a furnace, and the whole process can be conducted in a chamber without exposing samples to air. In this method, the inter-diffusion and the hetero-epitaxial relation between Fe and Pt are key factors to attain an FePt-ordered alloy thin film with (0 0 1) preferential orientation. An FePt-ordered alloy thin film with (0 0 1) preferential orientation fabricated from Pt[3 nm]/Fe[3 nm] bi-layer employing this method exhibited a relatively large coercivity of 5.6 kOe and high squareness ratio of 0.94 on perpendicular magnetization property. This novel method has a potential to fabricate FePt-based perpendicular magnetic recording media more easily than several conventional methods.  相似文献

Relationship between magnetic anisotropy field Hk and thermal processes during the preparation has been studied for FeCoB thin films. The FeCoB films deposited on the glass substrates by facing targets sputtering successfully showed strong magnetic anisotropy when the substrate was heated at the substrate temperature Ts above 100 °C. Additionally, the lattice spacing of FeCo(1 1 0) in the perpendicular direction was found to decrease depending on the substrate temperature Ts. Among various temperature histories, the heating processes with a phase of increasing Ts revealed the further improvement of Hk. Meanwhile, high Hk in the films disappears after the post-deposition annealing at the temperature above 400 °C.  相似文献

A novel method of analyzing the switching field distribution (SFD) and magnetic correlation length of perpendicular magnetic recording media that uses major and minor magnetization loops is proposed. By applying the analysis to a series of capped perpendicular media, we found that a thick capping layer with a low saturation magnetization effectively reduced SFD without rapidly increasing the magnetic correlation length. Transmission electron microscope observation suggests that the SFD is narrowed by the increased uniformity of intergranular exchange coupling via the thick capping layer. Evaluations of recording characteristics demonstrated a close correlation between narrower SFDs and improved recording performance. Reducing exchange coupling dispersion is a clear solution for improving the performance of recording media.  相似文献

Free-decay oscillations and rotations of a levitated liquid droplet are simulated numerically, and the frequency shift of drop-shape oscillations is studied. It is shown for an oscillating-rotating liquid droplet that the oscillation frequency decreases as the amplitude of drop-shape oscillations increases, while it increases as the rotation rate increases. The pressure difference between the equator and the pole of the droplet is found to correspond to the frequency shift. It is also found that the relation between the amplitude and the rotation rate is linear both for zero frequency shift and for zero pressure difference.  相似文献

We have presented a solid-state 17 O NMR study of [13C, 17 O]-L-alanine. Using the experimental results for the 13C-17 O dipolar vector and Euler angles, the absolute orientations of 17 O chemical shielding (CS) and electric-field-gradient (EFG) tensors with respect to the molecular frame can be determined for L-alanine. The present results suggest that the intermediate EFG tensor components, VYY, lie in the carboxylate plane and parallel to the C-O bond directions, while the least shielded components, delta11, and the intermediate CS tensor components, delta22, roughly lie in the molecular plane and the direction of delta22 components are approximately 38 degrees and 25 degrees off the C-O bonds for O1 and O2, respectively. These results are in reasonable agreement with those of our quantum chemical calculations reported previously.  相似文献

Thermal decomposition behaviors of a fluororubber are observed with linear heating mode at constant rate, controlled rate mode and isothermal mode of TG/DTA, and, with isothermal mode of TG/mass-spectrometer. The results suggest that this material decomposes with, at least, three consecutive reactions. From the results of TG/DTA and TGMS in isothermal mode, it is considered that the first reaction is the first-order reaction, the second reaction is chain reaction and the last reaction is vaporization of residue. Supposing these three consecutive reactions, the decomposition behaviors of the rubber is simulated. The observed curves of fraction of mass loss, , against time, t, are well reproduced by the simulation. The relationship between d/dt and is reproduced also, though the differences between observed and the calculated values of d/dt are slightly larger than noise level of d/dt.  相似文献
