Densities and refractive indices were measured for the binary liquid mixtures formed by benzonitrile, chlorobenzene, benzyl chloride, and benzyl alcohol with benzene at (T = 298.15, 303.15, 308.15 and 313.15 K) and atmospheric pressure over the whole concentration range. The Lorentz–Lorentz mixing rule, the Ramaswami and Anbananthan model, and the model devised by Glinski were used to study the refractive index and molar refractivity. These results have been discussed to study the type of mixing behavior between the mixing molecules. The measured data were fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial relation to estimate the binary coefficients and standard errors. Furthermore, the McAllister multibody interaction model is used to correlate the binary refractive index with the experimental findings. It is observed that molar refractivity, molecular interaction, and association constant can be better understood from these models. 相似文献

We study the effect of onium salts (benzyl triphenyl phosphonium chloride, BTPC; tetrabutyl ammonium perchlorate, TAP) on the crystallization of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) from a melt. The β phase of PVDF crystals is polar and has excellent piezoelectric properties, in contrast to the nonpolar α phase. Processing of PVDF results in the formation of predominantly α‐phase crystals. Different amounts of the onium salts were melt‐mixed into PVDF using a micro‐compounder. PVDF containing about 0.5 wt % of BTPC is found to have predominantly β‐phase crystals in compression molded PVDF films, with an increase in the melting temperature by about 7 °C. A significant increase in the toughness of PVDF is obtained by the addition of BTPC. Polarizing microscopy indicates that the onium salts act as nucleating agents and result in significant reduction in spherulite size. Similar results were observed for samples prepared with TAP. A concise chemical synthetic strategy has been developed for the synthesis of a pentasaccharide present in the O-antigen of Salmonella enterica O57 and Escherichia coli O51 strains. A sequential glycosylation strategy has been adopted for the synthesis of the target pentasaccharide. All intermediate steps are high yielding and the glycosylation steps are stereoselective. A convergent chemical synthesis of a pentasaccharide found in the O-specific polysaccharide of Escherichia coli O4:K3, O4:K6, and O4:K12 has been achieved in excellent yield. A [3+2] block synthetic strategy has been adopted to couple a disaccharide donor 11 with a trisaccharide acceptor 10 for the construction of the pentasaccharide derivative 12 which on deprotection furnished target pentasaccharide 1 as its 4-methoxyphenyl glycoside. In this paper we have proposed and analyzed a non-linear mathematical model for unemployment by considering three variables, namely the numbers of unemployed, temporarily employed and regularly employed persons. The model is studied using the stability theory of differential equations. It is found that the model has only one equilibrium, which is non-linearly stable under certain conditions.
