Objectives: Patients with cancer cachexia have poor adherence to treatment, which affects their prognosis. Currently, there are many studies on the effects of rehabilitation on cancer cachexia, but there is a lack of evidence on the effects of nutrition therapy alone or in combination with rehabilitation and nutrition therapy. This article describes a case in which rehabilitation nutrition care process was effective in a patient with lung cancer who developed cancer cachexia. Methods: A 68-year-old woman was hospitalized for treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. The patient had moderate malnutrition, sarcopenia, and cachexia at the time of admission, so the authors intervened according to rehabilitation nutrition care process. The physiotherapist mainly prescribed resistance training and aerobic exercise, 40-60 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. And the dietitian provided oral nutritional supplements (100 kcal, branched-chain amino acid: 3.0 g) in addition to hospital food and adjusted the patient''s energy intake to 26.96-33.05 kcal/kg/day and protein intake to 1.07-1.14 g/kg/day. Outcomes: Comparing the initial evaluation with the discharge, nutritional status, such as body mass index and skeletal muscle mass, and physical functions, such as maximum grip strength, gait speed, and functional independence measure (motor items), were improved. Conclusions: Rehabilitation nutrition care process-based interventions may improve nutritional status and physical functions more than exercise therapy alone in patients with lung cancer cachexia.  相似文献

Thickness of two-dimensional (2D) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) govern their intriguing functionalities. Primarily this thickness is controlled by the stacking between the metal-organic layers (MOL). It is observed that until now such modulating factors for stacking efficiency of MOL are not well studied. Here, we report a fundamental hypothesis to comprehend regulation of stacking efficiency among MOLs as a function of chemical structure of organic ligands (dicarboxylic acids and pillar linkers). This basically involves a series of isostructural three-dimensional (3D) MOFs which contain linkers of variable chemical nature that could be depillared to generate 2D stacked MOFs of different thickness. Depending on the linkers, we encountered the formation of single MOL to stacked multiple MOLs as evidenced from atomic force microscopic and other experimental analysis. The present study gives a concrete correlation between the stacking within 2D MOFs (from monolayer to multilayers), and their 3D counter parts, which may provide a thickness tuning pathway for 2D MOFs.  相似文献

Pheox– and Phebox–aluminum complexes were synthesized and subsequently characterized by spectroscopic analysis. These complexes acted as Lewis acid catalysts, and their catalytic activities were controlled by using the Pheox, Phebox, and heteroatom ligands. The Pheox–aluminum complex exhibited an opposite substrate selectivity to AlCl3 in a competitive hetero-Diels–Alder reaction between electron-rich and electron-deficient aldehydes.  相似文献

Peripherally π-extended corannulenes bearing quintuple azahelicene units, 10 and 11 , were prepared and their dynamic behaviors were studied experimentally and theoretically. The fused corannulenes were synthesized from sym-pentabromocorannulene in three steps. X-Ray diffraction analysis for 10 displayed a conformer possessing a P(M) bowl chirality and a PPMPM (PMPMM) helical chirality, which was found to be the most stable conformer(s). Variable-temperature NMR measurements of 10 and 11 revealed that their structural isomers can be interconvertible in solution, depending on the steric congestion around the helical scaffolds. Automated search for conformers in the equilibrium and transition states by Artificial Force Induced Reaction (AFIR) method revealed their interconversion networks, including bowl-inversion and helical-inversion. This analysis indicated that the co-existing corannulene and azahelicene moieties influence the conformational dynamics, which leads to mitigation of the activation energy barriers for isomerization.  相似文献

Few-layered antimonene (FLSb) nanosheets were noncovalently functionalized with fullerene C60 clusters by quick addition of a poor solvent (i.e., acetonitrile) into a mixed dispersion of FLSb and C60 in a good solvent (i.e., toluene). In a flash-photolysis time-resolved microwave conductivity (FP-TRMC) measurement, the FLSb-C60 composite, (FLSb+C60)m, showed a rapid rise in transient conductivity, whereas no conductivity signal was observed in the single components, FLSb and C60. This demonstrated the occurrence of photoinduced charge separation between FLSb and C60 in (FLSb+C60)m. Furthermore, a photoelectrochemical device with an electrophoretically deposited (FLSb+C60)m film exhibited an enhanced efficiency of photocurrent generation, compared to those of the single-components, FLSb and C60, due to the photoinduced charge separation between FLSb and C60. This work provides a promising approach for fabrication of antimonene–organic molecule composites and paves the way for their application in optoelectronics.  相似文献

Dye‐doped submicron poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) fibers having mean diameters of 290–430 nm were fabricated via electrospinning and their waveguiding properties were investigated. The middle of each fiber's length was excited with UV light and guided photoluminescence (PL) was measured at the end of each of the fibers for different propagation lengths. The spectral shapes of the guided PL differed depending on the fiber diameter because of leakage of light into the substrate. We propose a model that reproduces the PL attenuation with increasing propagation lengths and includes the temporal PL decay due to photobleaching and the size of the excitation area. The calculated propagation loss coefficient in the fibers was 6.3 × 10?3?1.4 × 10?1 µm?1 with λ = 430–500 nm. The propagation loss was inherent in the fiber itself because the re‐absorption loss coefficient of the doped dye was <1.3% of the propagation loss coefficient. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Alkynyl-substituted 3H-corrole 9 a was converted to [3]cumulenic 2H-corrole 10 a by treatment with trimethylsilyl chloride (TMSCl), and 1,3-butadiyne-bridged 3H-corrole dimer 11 b was transformed into [5]cumulene-bridged 2H-corrole dimer 12 b by oxidation with PbO2. Both 10 a and 12 b were metalated to form ZnII complexes 10 a-Zn and 12 b-Zn . The structures of 10 a-Zn and 12 b-Zn show planar conformations with bond-length alternations that are analogous to those of tetraaryl [n]cumulenes. The cumulenic corrole dimers 12 b and 12 b-Zn display large NIR absorption bands in the range of 700–1400 nm (maximum ϵ≈1.0×105 m −1 cm−1) owing to the effective π-conjugation between the two corrole units through the [5]cumulene bridge.  相似文献
