The synthesis of the ortho- and para-e isomers in the oxide-bridged 5-phenylmorphan series of rigid tetracyclic compounds was accomplished via rac-5-(2-fluoro-5-nitrophenyl)-2-methyl-2-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9beta-ol ((+/-)-10), an intermediate containing an aromatic nitro-activated fluorine atom. The fluorine atom was used as the leaving group for the formation of the strained tetracyclic trans-fused 5,6-ring system in rac-(1alpha,4aalpha,9aalpha)-1,3,4,9a-tetrahydro-2-methyl-6-nitro-2H-1,4a-propanobenzofuro[2,3-c]pyridine ((+/-)-11), although preference for cis ring fusion during the formation of tricyclic tetra- and hexahydrodibenzofurans has been well-documented. Single-crystal X-ray crystallographic study of the desired para-e isomer ((+/-)-2), as well as of two intermediates in its synthesis, provided assurance of the correct structures. The e-isomers are among the last of the 12 oxide-bridged 5-phenylmorphans to be synthesized. We envisioned the syntheses of these rigid, tetracyclic compounds in order to determine the three-dimensional pattern of a ligand that would enable interaction with opioid receptors as agonists or antagonists.  相似文献

Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) provides not only the dimensions of coronary artery but the information of tissue components. In catheterization laboratory, soft and hard plaques are classified by visual inspection of echo intensity. So-called soft plaque contains lipid core or thrombus and it is believed to be more vulnerable than a hard plaque. However, it is not simple to analyze the echo signals quantitatively. When we look at a reflection signal, the intensity is affected by the distance of the object, the medium between transducer and objects and the fluctuation caused by rotation of IVUS probe. The time of flight is also affected by the sound speed of the medium and Doppler shift caused by tissue motion but usually those can be neglected. Thus, the analysis of RF signal in time domain can be more quantitative than intensity of RF signal. In the present study, a novel imaging technique called "intravascular tissue velocity imaging" was developed for searching a vulnerable plaque. Radio-frequency (RF) signal from a clinically used IVUS apparatus was digitized at 500 MSa/s and stored in a workstation. First, non-uniform rotation was corrected by maximizing the correlation coefficient of circumferential RF signal distribution in two consecutive frames. Then, the correlation and displacement were calculated by analyzing the radial difference of RF signal. Tissue velocity was determined by the displacement and the frame rate. The correlation image of normal and atherosclerotic coronary arteries clearly showed the internal and external borders of arterial wall. Soft plaque with low echo area in the intima showed high velocity while the calcified lesion showed the very low tissue velocity. This technique provides important information on tissue character of coronary artery.  相似文献

We found diaphototactic behavior (i.e. the cells swim perpendicularly with respect to the incident light) in a strain with colorless eyespot of a unicellular disk-shaped green flagellate Mesostigma viride. Lacking pigments completely in the eyespot, the screening effect in this strain was due only to the central part of the chloroplast whose cross section was thin. The diaphototaxis was most obvious when unilateral green stimulus light (520-580 nm) was given, whereas positive phototaxis appeared when given blue light (430-490 nm). The choice between diaphototaxis and (ordinary) phototaxis depended entirely on the transmission (%T) of the cell body against each wavelength of the stimulus: the green light penetrated well (%T > 90%), whereas the blue light was considerably shaded by the chloroplast (50% < %T < 70%). The fraction of positive phototactically behaving cells against each wavelength was in proportion to the front-to-back contrast value obtained at each individual wavelength. The fraction of diaphototaxis was inversely proportional to it. In addition, bilateral stimulus irradiations to wild-type cell with colored eyespot provided useful information about the principle of the diaphototactic steering.  相似文献

Massadine, a highly oxygenated alkaloid, was isolated from the marine sponge Stylissa aff. massa as an inhibitor of geranylgeranyltransferase type I (GGTase I). 2,3‐Diaryl substituted maleimides as model compounds of conjugated maleimide polymers [poly(RMI‐alt‐Ar) and poly(RMI‐co‐Ar)] were synthesized from 2,3‐dibromo‐N‐substituted maleimide (DBrRMI) [R= cyclohexyl (DBrCHMI) and n‐hexyl (DBrHMI)] and aryl boronic acid using palladium catalysts. To clarify structures of conjugated polymer containing maleimide units at the main chain, 13C NMR spectra of 2‐aryl or 2,3‐diaryl substituted maleimides were compared with those of N‐substituted maleimide polymers. Copolymers obtained with DBrRMI via Suzuki‐Miyaura cross‐coupling polymerizations or Yamamoto coupling polymerizations were dehalogenated structures at the terminal end. This dehalogenation may contribute to the low polymerizability of DBrRMIs. On the other hand, the π‐conjugated compounds showed high solubility in common organic solvents. The N‐substituents of maleimide cannot significantly affect the photoluminescence spectra of 2,3‐diaryl substituted maleimides derivatives. The fluorescence spectra of poly(RMI‐alt‐Ar) and poly(RMI‐co‐Ar) varied with N‐substituents of the maleimide ring. When exposed to ultraviolet light of wavelength 352 nm, a series of 1,4‐phenylene‐ and/or 2,5‐thienylene‐based copolymers containing N‐substituted maleimide derivatives fluoresced in a yellow to blue color. It was found that photoluminescence emissions and electronic state of π‐conjugated maleimide derivatives were controlled by aryl‐ and N‐substituents, and maleimide sequences of copolymers. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The influence of shear flow, especially the timing for the application of shearing, was examined to enhance the selectivity for the preparation of poly(p‐oxybenzoyl) (Pp‐OB) by using hydrodynamically induced phase separation during polymerization of 4‐(4‐acetoxybenzoyloxy)benzoic acid (p‐ABAD) and m‐acetoxybenzoic acid (m‐ABA). The polymers containing few m‐oxybenzoyl (m‐OB) moieties were obtained as precipitates even at high content of m‐OB moiety in feed (χf) under shear flow. The content of m‐OB moiety in the precipitates (χp) prepared under shearing throughout the polymerization at the shear rate (γ) of 489 s?1 was 6.3 mol % even at χf of 60 mol %. Especially, the Pp‐OB was obtained as the precipitates at χf of less than 50 mol %. The timing of the application of the shearing influenced the selectivity significantly, and the shearing just after the precipitation of the oligomers started was quite efficient to enhance the selectivity more. The χp of the precipitates prepared with shearing at γ of 489 s?1 just after the precipitation was only 3.9 mol % even at χf of 60 mol %. The shear flow reduced the difference in the reactivity between p‐ABAD and m‐ABA, resulting in the decrease in the selectivity with regard to the formation of p‐oxybenzoyl homo‐oligomer. However, the shear flow enhanced the difference in the miscibility between homo‐oligomers and co‐oligomers. This change in the miscibility by shear flow brought about the more rapid precipitation of homo‐oligomers, leading to the enhancement of the selectivity. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(p‐oxybenzoyl) (POB) crystals were prepared by reaction‐induced crystallization during direct polymerization of p‐hydroxybenzoic acid in the presence of boronic anhydrides. Polymerizations were carried out at 300 °C in dibenzyltoluene at a concentration of 1% with three kinds of anhydrides of boronic acid such as 3,4,5‐trifluorophenylboronic acid (TFB), 4‐methoxyphenylboronic acid (MPB) and 4‐biphenylboronic acid (BPB). The POB crystals were formed as precipitates in the solution and the morphology was considerably influenced by both the structure of the boronic anhydride and its concentration (cB). Needle‐like crystals were firmed in the presence of TFB anhydride (TFBA) at cBs of 5 and 10 mol % by the spiral growth of lamellae. Spherical aggregates of slab‐like crystals were formed at cBs from 50 to 100 mol %. The polymerization with MPB anhydride and BPB anhydride (BPBA) also yielded the needle‐like crystals at cBs of 50 and 5 mol %, respectively. The polymerization with TFBA at lower cB was favorable to prepare the needle‐like crystal. Molecular weight was also influenced by the structure of the boronic anhydride and cB. Mn increased generally with cB and BPBA gave the highest Mn of 14.7 × 103 at cB of 100 mol %. The loose packing of the molecules in the crystal caused by the bulkiness of the end‐groups made the polymerization in the crystals more efficiently. Morphology and molecular weight of the POB crystals could be controlled by the chemical structure and the content of boronic anhydride. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We constructed a position-sensitive gamma-ray detector consisting of an array of BGO scintillators, a light guide and compact PS-PMTs. The effects of refractive index and thickness of the light guide of a glass plate on the detector performance were investigated. A light guide with higher refractive index and smaller thickness is found better for a good spatial resolution.  相似文献

An ultrahigh vacuum scanning Kelvin probe force microscope (UHV SKPM) based on the gradient of electrostatic force was developed using the technique of a UHV non-contact atomic force microscope (NC-AFM) capable of atomic level imaging, and used for simultaneous observation of contact potential difference (CPD) and NC-AFM images. The CPD images with a potential resolution of less than 10 meV were observed in the UHV SKPM, demonstrating an atomic level resolution. The change of potential corresponding to the charges on the insulated surface of polypropylene have been observed in UHV SKPM. We also demonstrated a reliable method to obtain the CPD from the bias voltage dependence curves of the frequency shift in all of the scanning area. The results are consistent with comparing the barrier height images in that the work functions of adatoms are greater than the work function of corner holes.  相似文献

The dynamics on the vacuum-ultraviolet one-photon ionization of a formamide-water cluster is investigated by a combination of theoretical reaction-path search and infrared spectroscopic methods. A keto-enol tautomerization of the formamide moiety occurs after photoionization by a catalytic action of the water molecule accompanied with its long-distance migration; the water molecule in the cluster migrates almost one turn around the formamide moiety. During the migration, the water molecule abstracts the proton of CH in the formamide moiety and carries it to the O atom side in the carbonyl group through a "catch and release"-type catalytic action.  相似文献
