Six crimson samarium (III) complexes based on β-ketone carboxylic acid and ancillary ligands were synthesized by adopting the grinding technique. All synthesized complexes were investigated via elemental analysis, infrared, UV–Vis, NMR, TG/DTG and photoluminescence studies. Optical properties of these photostimulated samarium (III) complexes exhibit reddish-orange luminescence due to 4G5/2?→?6H7/2 electronic transition at 606 nm of samarium (III) ions. Further, energy bandgap, color purity, CIE color coordinates, CCT and quantum yield of all complexes were determined accurately. Replacement of water molecules by ancillary ligands enriched these complexes (S2-S6) with decay time, quantum yield, luminescence, energy bandgap and biological properties than parent complex (S1). Interestingly, these efficient properties of complexes may find their applications in optoelectronics and lighting systems. In addition to these, the antioxidant and antimicrobial assays were also investigated to explore the applications in biological assays.

We present a comparative study of peak-effect in DC magnetization in single-crystal samples of CeRu2 and Bi-2212. While the PE in Bi-2212 can be associated with the second-order phase transition from Bragg-glass to vortex-glass, the PE in CeRu2 is anomalous and can be understood as accompanying a first-order phase transition in the vortex matter. 相似文献
Two component silicone modified epoxy resin based low surface energy and non-toxic foul release coatings were developed. Silicone modified epoxy resin with 15 and 30% silicone content was used as component A and a polyether diamine (Jeffamine-500) was used as the component B. Free standing films were prepared by casting a mixture of components A and B in stoichiometric proportions. The surface composition, surface topography and wetting properties of the coatings were studied by angle resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and contact angle goniometry respectively. The mechanical properties of the cured films were evaluated by tensile measurements as well as dynamic mechanical analysis. Pseudobarnacles made of aluminium studs were attached to the coated panels and adhesion tests were carried out by a pseudobarnacle tester. Coated panels were exposed in Mumbai harbor for fouling studies for a period of 90 days. Surface restructuring studies of the coatings upon immersion in seawater were carried out by measuring the changes in advancing and receding contact angles by contact angle goniometry. The effect of surface energy, modulus and surface restructuring of the coatings on the macrofouling and pseudobarnacle adhesion properties has been discussed in detail. 相似文献
The radiation effects using the Rosseland approximation on the flow of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting fluid
over a stretching sheet near the stagnation point in the presence of uniform transverse magnetic field is studied. The governing
equations transform to ordinary differential equation by using suitable similarity transformation and then by a perturbation
technique the numerical results for temperature distribution were obtained and discussed graphically. 相似文献
Noncollinear difference frequency mixing of dye laser and Nd:YAG second harmonic (fundamental) radiation from a commercial
laser system is employed for the generation of 2.7–5.3 μm (1.6–1.7 μm) radiations in a flux-grown KTiOAsO1 crystal. The generated radiation is used to scan the methane absorption in the fundamental (v3) and its first overtone (2v3) band at pressure 90 torr in a laboratory made single pass gas cell of length 33 cm. 相似文献
A quantitative method was developed and validated for rapid and sensitive analysis of cimetidine in human plasma. The method involved the use of liquid chromatography (LC) coupled with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and selected reaction monitoring (SRM) mass spectrometry (MS). A cimetidine analog, SKF92374, was used as the internal standard. Separation of cimetidine and the internal standard was accomplished using a reverse-phase HPLC column (C18). The eluted components were ionized by the APCI source and subsequently detected by a highly selective triple quadrupole mass spectrometer in the SRM mode. Linear standard curves were obtained from 5 ng/mL (lower limit of quantitation) to 10,000 ng/mL. The results demonstrated excellent precision (%RSD 1. 1-8.9%) and accuracy (94.7-108.0%) over this range. In addition, the amount of plasma sample needed for analysis was small (50 muL), and the plasma pretreatment (analyte recovery >94%) was simple and time saving. This assay was used to evaluate cimetidine levels in premature infants following intravenous infusion of cimetidine. 相似文献
Employing the method of zone- refining single crystals of PbI2 of different purities were grown. Using X-ray diffraction technique their structure was found to be of the type 12R and in some cases 12R+4H. The crystals were re-examined after prolonged storage of several months at room temperature. Neither the crystals of very high purity nor of relatively less purity transformed. But thecrystals having intermediate purities did transform from 12R to 2H. This observation establishes a clear link between impurities and phase transitions. The results have been explained on the basis of nucleation and growth mechanism of stacking faults. Also it has been concluded that the presence of impurities is a must for the formation of polytypes. 相似文献
