Abstract

Launch power is limited to the milliwatt level by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in a single-channel, coherent fiber-optic network. Increasing the number of frequency-division multiplexed channels causes the power limit to decrease quickly to submilliwatt levels due to three-wave intermodulation to keep the signal-to-noise ratio from deteriorating significantly. As the number of channels increases, stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) begins to dominate. If a maximum of 0.5–dB depletion in the highest-frequency channel is allowed, SRS dominates when the number of multiplexed channels reaches about 300. Generally, the launch-power-limiting phenomenon is dependent on the number of channels being multiplexed.  相似文献

We study the dynamical invariant for dissipative three coupled oscillators mainly from the quantum mechanical point of view. It is known that there are many advantages of the invariant quantity in elucidating mechanical properties of the system. We use such a property of the invariant operator in quantizing the system in this work. To this end, we first transform the invariant operator to a simple one by using a unitary operator in order that we can easily manage it. The invariant operator is further simplified through its diagonalization via three-dimensional rotations parameterized by three Euler angles. The coupling terms in the quantum invariant are eventually eliminated thanks to such a diagonalization. As a consequence, transformed quantum invariant is represented in terms of three independent simple harmonic oscillators which have unit masses. Starting from the wave functions in the transformed system, we have derived the full wave functions in the original system with the help of the unitary operators.  相似文献

Organodihydridoelement anions of germanium and tin were reacted with metallocene dichlorides of Group 4 metals Ti, Zr and Hf. The germate anion [Ar*GeH2] reacts with hafnocene dichloride under formation of the substitution product [Cp2Hf(GeH2Ar*)2]. Reaction of the organodihydridostannate with metallocene dichlorides affords the reduction products [Cp2M(SnHAr*)2] (M=Ti, Zr, Hf). Abstraction of a hydride substituent from the titanium bis(hydridoorganostannylene) complex results in formation of cation [Cp2M(SnAr*)(SnHAr*)]+ exhibiting a short Ti–Sn interaction. This article focused on the construction and characteristics of novelty and sensitivity of modified carbon paste electrodes for determination of doxycycline hydrochloride (DC.HCl) in urine, serum and pharmaceutical preparations. It was based on the incorporation of α-cyclodextrine (α-CD) and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) ionophores which improved the characteristics of the electrodes with tricresylphosphate (TCP) (electrode I) and o-nitrophenyloctylether (o-NPOE) (electrode II) as plasticizers, respectively. The constructed electrodes, at optimum paste composition, exhibited good Nernstian response for determination of doxycycline hydrochloride over a linear concentration range from 1.0 × 10–7 to 1.0 × 10–2 and 1.22 × 10–7 to 1.0 × 10–2 mol L–1 with detection limit of 1.0 × 10–7 and 1.22 ×10–7 mol L–1 and with slope values of (58.7 ± 0.2) mV decade–1 and (58.0 ± 0.6) mV decade–1, for modified carbon paste electrodes (MCPEs; electrodes I and II), respectively. The results showed fast dynamic response time (about 6–7 s) and long lifetime in the range from 4 to 5 months where the response of the electrodes was not affected by pH variation within the range from 2 to 8 and 2 to 7.5 for electrodes I and II, respectively. Electrodes I and II showed high selectivity for doxycycline hydrochloride with respect to a large number of interfering species including foreign inorganic, organic species, excipients and the fillers added to the pharmaceutical preparation. The constructed electrodes were successfully applied for determination of DC.HCl in pure form, its pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids (urine and serum) using standard addition, calibration curves and potentiometric titration methods. The results obtained using these potentiometric electrodes were comparable with those obtained using official method. The results were satisfactory with excellent percentage recovery comparable or better than those obtained by other routine methods.

We give a general Hamiltonian formulation of the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) fundamental equations of a homogeneous and isotropic universe in the Standard Cosmological model. It gives some interesting insight on the 3-curvature of the universe, which is found to be obtained in terms of the scale factor (also termed radius of the universe) and its first derivative.
