β-D-Glucosides of pyromeconic acid (3-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-pyran), maltol (3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-oxo-4H-pyran) and α-hydroxymaltol (3-hydroxy-2-hydroxymethyl-4-oxo-4H-pyran) were synthesized in one pot by reaction of stoichiometric amounts of acetobromoglucose and preformed hydroxypyrone anion followed by catalytic deacetylation with methanolic KOH. Products were identified and characterized by comparison of mp and molar rotation with literature, and by FAB-MS, negative ferric chloride test, and H-1 and C-13 NMR. All glycosides were levorotatory, beta and gave recognizable pseudo-molecular ions.  相似文献

Background  

NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartic acid) is a widely known agonist for a class of glutamate receptors, the NMDA type. Synthetic NMDA elicits very strong activity for the induction of hypothalamic factors and hypophyseal hormones in mammals. Moreover, endogenous NMDA has been found in rat, where it has a role in the induction of GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone) in the hypothalamus, and of LH (Luteinizing Hormone) and PRL (Prolactin) in the pituitary gland.  相似文献

We report on a therapeutic approach using thermo‐responsive multi‐fingered drug eluting devices. These therapeutic grippers referred to as theragrippers are shaped using photolithographic patterning and are composed of rigid poly(propylene fumarate) segments and stimuli‐responsive poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide‐co‐acrylic acid) hinges. They close above 32 °C allowing them to spontaneously grip onto tissue when introduced from a cold state into the body. Due to porosity in the grippers, theragrippers could also be loaded with fluorescent dyes and commercial drugs such as mesalamine and doxorubicin, which eluted from the grippers for up to seven days with first order release kinetics. In an in vitro model, theragrippers enhanced delivery of doxorubicin as compared to a control patch. We also released theragrippers into a live pig and visualized release of dye in the stomach. The design of such tissue gripping drug delivery devices offers an effective strategy for sustained release of drugs with immediate applicability in the gastrointestinal tract.  相似文献

Nitrates are widely used as fertilizer and oxidizing agents. Commercial nitrate production from nitrogen involves high‐temperature‐high‐pressure multi‐step processes. Therefore, an alternative nitrate production method under ambient environment is of importance. Herein, an electrochemical nitrogen oxidation reaction (NOR) approach is developed to produce nitrate catalyzed by ZnFexCo2?xO4 spinel oxides. Theoretical and experimental results show Fe aids the formation of the first N?O bond on the *N site, while high oxidation state Co assists in stabilizing the absorbed OH? for the generation of the second and third N?O bonds. Owing to the concerted catalysis, the ZnFe0.4Co1.6O4 oxide demonstrates the highest nitrate production rate of 130±12 μmol h?1 gMO?1 at an applied potential of 1.6 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE).  相似文献

We fabricated high-mobility field-effect transistors based on epitaxial graphene synthesized by vacuum graphitization of both the Si- and C-faces of SiC. Room-temperature field-effect mobilities >4000 cm2/V s for both electrons and holes were achieved, although with wide distributions. By using a high-k gate dielectric, we were able to measure the transistor characteristics in a wide carrier density range, where the mobility is seen to decrease as the carrier density increases. We formulate a simple semiclassical model of electrical transport in graphene, and explain the sublinear dependence of conductivity on carrier density from the view point of the few-layer graphene energy band structure. Our analysis reveals important differences between the few-layer graphene energy dispersions on the SiC Si- and C-faces, providing the first evidence based on electrical device characteristics for the theoretically proposed energy dispersion difference between graphene synthesized on these two faces of SiC.  相似文献

Surface-enhanced emission from single semiconductor nanocrystals   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The fluorescence behavior of single CdSe(ZnS) core-shell nanocrystal (NC) quantum dots is dramatically affected by electromagnetic interactions with a rough metal film. Observed changes include a fivefold increase in the observed fluorescence intensity of single NCs, a striking reduction in their fluorescence blinking behavior, complete conversion of the emission polarization to linear, and single NC exciton lifetimes that are >10(3) times faster. The enhanced excited state decay process for NCs coupled to rough metal substrates effectively competes with the Auger relaxation process, allowing us to observe both charged and neutral exciton emission from these NC quantum dots.  相似文献

The 1:1 equisized hard-sphere electrolyte or restricted primitive model has been simulated via grand-canonical fine-discretization Monte Carlo. Newly devised unbiased finite-size extrapolation methods using loci in the temperature-density or (T,rho) plane of isothermal rho(2-k) vs pressure inflections, of Q identical with(2)/ maxima, and of canonical and C(V) criticality, yield estimates of (T(c),rho(c)) to +/-(0.04,3)%. Extrapolated exponents and Q ratio are (gamma,nu,Q(c)) = [1.24(3), 0.63(3); 0.624(2)], which support Ising (n = 1) behavior with (1.23(9), 0.630(3); 0.623(6)), but exclude classical, XY (n = 2), self-avoiding walk (n = 0), and n = 1 criticality with potentials varphi(r)>Phi/r(4.9) when r-->infinity.  相似文献
