A series of molecular rhenium sulfide clusters [Re6S8(OH)6?n (H2O) n ](4?n)? (n = 0, 2, 4, 6) catalyze dehydrogenation of alcohols, and hydrogenation of ketones and olefins in a hydrogen stream at 350 °C. The catalytic activities of the dianionic and neutral clusters (n = 2, 4) are lower than those of tetraanionic and dicationic clusters (n = 0, 6) for all the reactions. When 1,4-butanediol is allowed to react over K4[Re6S8(OH)6], dehydrogenation proceeds to yield 2-hydroxytetrahydrofuran and successively γ-butyrolactone above 300 °C. Over [Re6S8(H2O)6]SO4 dehydration proceeds to yield tetrahydrofuran above 250 °C. The thermal activation mechanisms of these clusters were studied by powder X-ray diffraction analyses, Raman spectrometry, extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectrometry, thermogravimetry, and differential thermal analyses. The catalytically active site of K4[Re6S8(OH)6] is an uncoordinated metal site (Lewis acid site) developed by the loss of a water molecule from two hydroxo ligands. The active site of [Re6S8(H2O)6]SO4 is a Brønsted acid site; the anhydrous aqua cluster dication disproportionates to a hydroxo cluster monocation and a proton. Both of the octahedral cluster frameworks are retained up to 500 °C.  相似文献

A range of potassium-based alumina sorbents were fabricated by impregnation of alumina with K2CO3 to examine the effects of the structural and textural properties of alumina on the CO2 sorption and regeneration properties. Alumina materials, which were used as supports, were prepared by calcining alumina at various temperatures (300, 600, 950, and 1,200 °C). The CO2 sorption and regeneration properties of these sorbents were examined during multiple tests in a fixed-bed reactor in the presence of 1 vol% CO2 and 9 vol% H2O. The regeneration capacities of the potassium-based alumina sorbents increased with increasing calcination temperature of alumina. The formation of KHCO3 increased with increasing calcination temperature during CO2 sorption, whereas the formation of KAl(CO3)(OH)2, which is an inactive material, decreased. These results is due to the fact that the structure of alumina by the calcination temperature is related directly to the formation of the by-product [KAl(CO3)(OH)2]. The structure of alumina plays an important role in enhancing the regeneration capacity of the potassium-based alumina sorbent. Based on these results, a new potassium-based sorbent using δ-Al2O3 as a support was developed for post-combustion CO2 capture. This sorbent maintained a high CO2 capture capacity of 88 mg CO2/g sorbent after two cycles. Efficient harvesting of unlimited solar energy and its conversion into valuable chemicals is one of the ultimate goals of scientists. With the ever‐increasing concerns about sustainable growth and environmental issues, numerous efforts have been made to develop artificial photosynthetic process for the production of fuels and fine chemicals, thus mimicking natural photosynthesis. Despite the research progress made over the decades, the technology is still in its infancy because of the difficulties in kinetic coupling of whole photocatalytic cycles. Herein, we report a new type of artificial photosynthesis system that can avoid such problems by integrally coupling biocatalytic redox reactions with photocatalytic water splitting. We found that photocatalytic water splitting can be efficiently coupled with biocatalytic redox reactions by using tetracobalt polyoxometalate and Rh‐based organometallic compound as hole and electron scavengers, respectively, for photoexcited [Ru(bpy)3]2+. Based on these results, we could successfully photosynthesize a model chiral compound (L ‐glutamate) using a model redox enzyme (glutamate dehydrogenase) upon in situ photoregeneration of cofactors.  相似文献

Rosacea is a common and chronic inflammatory skin disease that is characterized by dysfunction of the immune and vascular system. The excessive production and activation of kallikerin 5 (KLK5) and cathelicidin have been implicated in the pathogenesis of rosacea. Coptis chinensis Franch (CC) has been used as a medicinal herb in traditional oriental medicine. However, little is known about the efficacy and mechanism of action of CC in rosacea. In this study, we evaluate the effect of CC and its molecular mechanism on rosacea in human epidermal keratinocytes. CC has the capacity to downregulate the expression of KLK5 and cathelicidin, and also inhibits KLK5 protease activity, which leads to reduced processing of inactive cathelicidin into active LL-37. It was determined that CC ameliorates the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines through the inhibition of LL-37 processing. In addition, it was confirmed that chitin, an exoskeleton of Demodex mites, mediates an immune response through TLR2 activation, and CC inhibits TLR2 expression and downstream signal transduction. Furthermore, CC was shown to inhibit the proliferation of human microvascular endothelial cells induced by LL-37, the cause of erythematous rosacea. These results demonstrate that CC improved rosacea by regulating the immune response and angiogenesis, and revealed its mechanism of action, indicating that CC may be a useful therapeutic agent for rosacea.  相似文献

Stretch-flangeability is an important formability factor for advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) when manufacturing automotive parts. However, the reproducibility of the hole expansion test (HET), a standard testing method established by the international organization for standardization, is quite poor compared with other mechanical testing methods. In this study, we propose a new method, the sheared-edge tensile test (SETT), for evaluating stretch-flangeability with excellent reproducibility. SETT takes into account the deformation behavior during the HET and the critical extrinsic factors influencing the hole expansion ratio (HER). The correlation between the sheared-edge surface characteristics, the tensile properties of the SETT specimen, and stretch-flangeability were investigated to gain in-depth understanding of the proposed evaluation method. Although the correlation between HER and the post-uniform elongation of the SETT specimen with an HER >80% was ambiguous, the SETT results exhibited good reproducibility, and the stretch-flangeability indicated by HER tended to increase linearly with increases in the post-uniform elongation of the SETT specimen. Furthermore, the roughness of the sheared-edge surface had a significant effect on the local deformation behavior of the materials. The proposed method requires only a small amount of specimen, as compared with the HET and can evaluate stretch-flangeability with good reproducibility.  相似文献

Short pulsed laser-induced single acoustic wave generation, propagation, interaction within a water-filled internal channel are experimentally and numerically studied. A large-area, short-duration, single-plane acoustic wave was generated by the thermoelastic interaction of a homogenized nanosecond pulsed laser beam with a liquid–solid interface and propagated at the speed of sound in water. Laser flash Schlieren photography was used to visualize the transient interaction of the plane acoustic wave in various internal channel structures ((a) sudden expansion and contraction channels, (b) bifurcating channels, (c) gradual contraction wall channels and (d) a cylinder). Fairly good agreement between the experimental results and numerical simulation is observed.  相似文献

Zn/Al mixed oxide was prepared by the coprecipitation or the hydrothermal method under different conditions and used as catalyst for synthesis of glycerol carbonate by carbonylation of glycerol with urea. The physical properties of the prepared Zn/Al mixed oxide particles were investigated, as well as their activity as catalyst in the mentioned synthesis. The dried Zn/Al mixed-oxide particles prepared by the coprecipitation method showed higher activity in synthesis of glycerol carbonate than those prepared by the hydrothermal method. The Zn/Al mixed oxide prepared by the coprecipitation method without NaNO3 showed the highest catalytic activity in synthesis of glycerol carbonate.  相似文献

It has been known since the early days of plasma physics research that superthermal electrons are generated during beam-plasma laboratory experiments. Superthermal electrons (the kappa distribution) are also ubiquitously observed in space. To explain such a feature, various particle acceleration mechanisms have been proposed. However, self-consistent acceleration of electrons in the context of plasma kinetic theory has not been demonstrated to date. This Letter reports such a demonstration. It is shown that the collisionality, defined via the "plasma parameter" g=1/n(lambda(D)(3), plays a pivotal role. It is found that a small but moderately finite value of is necessary for the superthermal tail to be generated, implying that purely collisionless (g=0) Vlasov theory cannot produce a superthermal population.  相似文献
