Studies on photoinduced effects in pulse-electrodeposited Ag/Hg-1212/CdSe hetero-nanostructures

Metal/superconductor/semiconductor (Ag/Hg-1212/CdSe) hetero-nanostructures have been fabricated using pulse-electrodeposition technique and are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies. The junction capacitance of Ag/Hg-1212, Hg-1212/CdSe and Ag/Hg-1212/CdSe heterojunctions is measured in dark and under laser irradiation at room temperature. The nature of the junction formed and built-in-junction potentials were determined. The increase in carrier concentration across the junction due to photo-irradiation has been observed.     

Gas Flow in Microchannels – A Lattice Boltzmann Method Approach

Gas flow in microchannels can often encounter tangential slip motion at the solid surface even under creeping flow conditions. To simulate low speed gas flows with Knudsen numbers extending into the transition regime, alternative methods to both the Navier–Stokes and direct simulation Monte Carlo approaches are needed that balance computational efficiency and simulation accuracy. The lattice Boltzmann method offers an approach that is particularly suitable for mesoscopic simulation where details of the molecular motion are not required. In this paper, the lattice Boltzmann method has been applied to gas flows with finite Knudsen number and the tangential momentum accommodation coefficient has been implemented to describe the gas-surface interactions. For fully-developed channel flows, the results of the present method are in excellent agreement with the analytical slip-flow solution of the Navier–Stokes equations, which are valid for Knudsen numbers less than 0.1. The present paper demonstrates that the lattice Boltzmann approach is a promising alternative simulation tool for the design of microfluidic devices.     

Room temperature continuous wave operation of 1.33-μm InAs/GaAs quantum dot laser with high output power

Continuous wave operation of a semiconductor laser diode based on five stacks of InAs quantum dots (QDs) embedded within strained InGaAs quantum wells as an active region is demonstrated. At room temperature, 355-Mw output power at ground state of 1.33-1.35μm for a 20-μm ridge-waveguide laser without facet coating is achieved. By optimizing the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth conditions,the QD density per layer is raised to 4 × 1010 cm-2. The laser keeps lasing at ground state until the temperature reaches 65 ℃.     

平面调制靶的表面起伏图形研制

表面起伏靶是惯性约束聚变（ＩＣＦ）分解实验中的重要实验用靶。本文报导了采用离子束刻蚀和激光干涉两种方法制备初始微扰振幅和波长分别在几微米和几十微米范围的正弦调制形状；摸索了相应的工艺条件和工艺过程；用台阶仪及光学显微轮廓仪测微加工后的形貌；探讨了调制波长的精确控制与干涉工艺之间的关系。

过渡金属氧化物催化剂上NH3 分解Claus反应机理研究

运用浸渍法制备了七种过渡金属氧化物催化剂 .对于NH3 分解反应均可获得很高的NH3 转化率 ;对于NH3 分解Claus反应则可以获得较高的SO2 转化率和单质硫选择性 .通过比较发现Co3 O4 TiO2 和Fe2 O3 TiO2 催化剂的低温活性比较高 .经过XRD表征发现 ,在NH3 分解Claus反应中 ,催化剂的活性相可能是过渡金属硫化物 .结合活性评价和XRD表征结果提出了NH3 分解Claus反应的机理 .     

考虑量子效应的Zakharov方程组的孤波解

AFS-230E型原子荧光光度计测汞时盐酸引起的故障及故障排除

用AFS-230E型厦子荧光光度计测定汞时，使用相同规格但不同厂家生产的盐酸对测定结果影响较大。使用该仪器测汞时由于配制载流液时选用盐酸不当发生空白值过高的现象，影响汞的准确测定。在排除其它可能故障后，更换不同厂家生产的盐酸进行试验，选用汞空白值低的盐酸，故障排除。     

WG-Like Modes Selectivity in a Square Cavity with Posts

We investigate the characteristics of Whispering-Gallery（WG）-like modes in a square cavity with posts by employing the two-dimensional （2D） finite-difference time-domain （FDTD） technique combined with the effective index method. The results indicate that the posts can result in mode selection in the WG-like modes. The WG-like modes with odd mode numbers are not much sensitive to the sizes of the posts. However, the quality factor （i.e. Q-factor） of the WG-like modes with even mode numbers decreases sharply with the increasing size of the posts. The decreasing Q-factor is attributed to mode leakage and scattering loss due to the presence of the post. The mode selection increases the mode spacing of square cavity twice in an optimized structure.
