Studying the physical properties of entangled electron spin states in a solid body

A concept for the experimental study of the physical properties of entangled electron spin states in a solid body is proposed. The construction of the experimental setup is developed. New-generation electron spin detectors are created. Test measurements of the electron spin polarization by two simultaneously operating Mott detectors are carried out. It is found that Bell’s inequalities are satisfied in the traditional measurement mode (without time coincidences of the pulses).

Molecular Modeling and Quantum Chemical Calculations of Interaction of Gas Pollutants with Polyacrylonitrile

The possibility of adsorption of pollutant gas molecules on the surface of polyacrylonitrile subjected to thermal treatment at 300–600°С was studied theoretically. The theoretical modeling was performed by quantum chemical calculations and molecular modeling. The results of modeling showed that annealed polyacrylonitrile exhibits gas sensitivity in reactions with chlorine and nitrogen dioxide.     

Structural-temporal theory of fracture as a multiscale process

The paper reports on a structural-temporal approach to analysis of multiscale fracture of solids. A practical procedure is proposed for estimating the strength characteristics of material on one scale from test data on another scale.     

Ion-beam erosion of carbon fibers of the composites

The results of experimental studies of the structural and morphological changes of the surface of carbon PAN fibers of a carbon-carbon KUP-VM (1D) composite as a result of high-dose irradiation (10¹⁸–10¹⁹ ion/cm²) with Ne⁺ and Ar⁺ ions with an energy of 10–30 keV are presented. The threshold values of radiation damage, resulting in an amorphization of the PAN carbon fibers at room temperature and ion-induced crimping at temperatures greater than the annealing temperature of the radiation damage, are determined.     

Thermochemical properties of new N,O-chelate Sc, Eu, and Tb complexes for OLED-devices

A new class of Sc, Eu, and Tb complexes with N,O-chelate ligands was synthesized for the first time. The mass spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry data, as well as the data on the saturated vapor pressure of the compounds were obtained. The main thermochemical parameters of the compounds were calculated.     

Laser generation and electromagnetic detection of normal acoustic waves in ferromagnetic metals

Noncontact generation and detection of normal acoustic waves in a ferromagnetic metal sheet made of the 32NKD alloy are experimentally studied. The main relationships of the parameters of such processes are determined.
