A slab optical waveguide (SOWG) has been used for study of adsorption of both methylene blue (MB) and new methylene blue (NMB) in liquid–solid interface. Adsorption characteristics of MB and NMB on both bare SOWG and silanized SOWG by octadecyltrichlorosilane (ODS) were compared. Effect of pH on adsorption on MB and NMB was investigated. Binding rate constant analysis showed that both MB and NMB on bare SOWG demonstrates larger association constants than those on ODS-SOWG. Interactions of MB and NMB on bare SOWG and ODS-SOWG were analyzed by molecular mechanics calculation method. The binding energy change was in the following order: ENMB–bare > EMB–bare > ENMB–ODS > EMB–ODS. 相似文献

When a mixed solution of 0.72 M potassium and sodium chloride was eluted from a Sephadex G-15 column with 0.025 M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.0), the elution profiles of ions showed that the potassium and chloride ion pair from the sample and the sodium and chloride ion pair produced by ion-exchange reaction, were eluted in the same fractions as if they constituted a complex. When a mixed solution of different concentrations of potassium and sodium chloride was eluted with the same buffer, the excess amount of one ion pair over the other was eluted freely from the presumed complex. 相似文献

Abstract— The photoreaction cycle of 13- cis -bacteriorhodopsin (13- cis -bR) was investigated by low temperature spectrophotometry using two different preparations; 13- cis -bR constituted from bacterioopsin and 13- cis -retinal, and dark-adapted bacteriorhodopsin (bRD ), which is an equi-molar mixture of 13- cis -bR and trans -bR.
By irradiation with 500 nm light at — 190°C, 13- cis -bR was converted to its batho-product, batho-13- cis -bR (batho-bR13 ), which is different from batho-product from trans -bR, batho-bRt . On warming batho-bR13 to -5°C in the dark, it completely changed to trans -bR. We estimated the composition of 13- cis -bR and trans -bR in the warmed sample spectrophotometrically and then the absorption spectrum of batho-bR13 was calculated. The absorption maximum lies at 608 nm, 1250 cm−1 longer than that of 13- cis -bR; the molar extinction coefficient (ε) is about 74000 M −1 cm−1 , larger than that of 13- cis -bR (52000 M −1 cm−1 ).

trans- and cis-1-(4-Dimethylaminophenyl)-6-(4-nitrophenyl)hex-3-ene-1,5-diynes (trans- and cis-DANE) were synthesized and their photochemical properties were studied. The absorption spectra of trans-DANE red-shifted compared with the parent compound bisphenylethynylethene (BEE) due to intramolecular charge transfer. The fluorescence spectra, Stokes shift, fluorescence lifetime, fluorescence quantum yield, and quantum yield of trans-to-cis photoisomerization of trans-DANE showed strong dependence upon the solvent polarity in the less-polar region. No fluorescence emission from trans-DANE was observed in medium-polar and polar solvents. The quantum yield of cis-to-trans isomerization was almost solvent independent. The donor-acceptor substituents shifted the equilibrium between the trans perpendicular triplet state and the trans planar triplet state to the trans triplet state, and resulted in an increase in the triplet lifetime. Comparison of the photochemical properties of trans-DANE with trans-4-dimethylamino-4'-nitrostilbene (DANS) suggests that trans-DANE is a possible fluorescent probe in the non-polar region. 相似文献

Utilizing a supersonic molecular-beam scattering technique, the angular intensity distributions of alkane molecules (CH4 and C2H6) have been measured, which are scattered from a chemically inert and highly oriented monolayer graphite (MG) on Pt(111). A MG which covers the Pt(111) surface with a full monolayer is found to induce a large energy loss of alkanes during collision with the surface by phonon creation due to the large mass ratio of an alkane molecule with respect to MG. Based on the classical cube model, only applicable to the molecules without internal mode excitation, the effective masses of MG of 76 (six atoms of carbon) and Pt(111) of 585 (three atoms of platinum) are determined from rare-gas atom scattering data. Despite the difference in the degree of freedom between CH4 and rare-gas atoms, CH4 scattering is found to be well described by the simple hard-cube model as a result of the high symmetry of the CH4 structure. With the recently developed ellipsoid-washboard model, an extension of the hard-cube model to include some internal mode excitation of impinging molecules in addition to the surface corrugation, it is found that unlike CH4 the cartwheel rotation mode of C2H6 is significantly excited during collision, while the helicopter mode excitation is negligible on a flat MG surface. 相似文献

Specific acid catalysis of p-sulfonatocalix[n]arenes (n = 4, Calix-S4; n = 6, Calix-S6; n = 8, Calix-S8) was observed in the alcoholysis of N-acetyl-l-amino acids in methanol. The methanolysis rates of basic amino acid substrates (His, Lys, and Arg) were markedly enhanced in the presence of Calix-Sn, as compared with rates observed with p-hydroxybenzenesulfonic acid (pHBS), which is a noncyclic analogue of Calix-Sn. This catalytic effect of Calix-Sn was not observed for the methanolysis of Phe, Tyr, and Trp substrates. On the other hand, (1)H NMR experiments following the effect of Calix-Sn on N-acetyl-l-amino acid substrates in CD(3)OD showed that the spectrum of a mixture of the His substrate with Calix-Sn was significantly different from the combined spectra of the respective compounds. These changes in spectra support the formation of an inclusion complex of Calix-Sn with basic amino acids. Furthermore, it was obvious that methanolysis of the His substrate catalyzed by Calix-S4 and Calix-S6 obeyed Michaelis-Menten kinetics. These results indicate that the catalytic activity of Calix-Sn originates from its forming a complex with specific substrates (basic amino acids), similar to enzymatic reactions. 相似文献

1,2-Dihydropyrazin-2-one derivatives, which have two aminoalkyl groups at the positions 3 and 6, were found to be efficient tools for the construction of potent, selective and long-acting opioid mimetics. During the course of preparation, we found that the catalytic hydrogenation of 3,6-bis(benzyloxycarbonylaminomethyl)-5-methyl-1,2-dihydropyrazin-2-one to remove the benzyloxycarbonyl groups resulted in a side reaction. By MS and NMR studies and by preparation of additional 1,2-dihydropyrazin-2-one derivatives, the structure of the by-product was identified as 3-aminomethyl-5,6-dimethyl-1,2-dihydropyrazin-2-one. Preparation of additional compounds substituted with deuterium provided us with sufficient information to confirm the structure of the product and to support a cyclization mechanism in its formation. 相似文献
