Stable, narrow linewidth operation of red and 1.3 µm free-running laser diodes with external gratings in non-Littrow geometry is demonstrated. The resonance of the saturated fluorescence of an atomic beam with a contrast of 25% and a linewidth of 400 ± 50 kHz of the Ca intercombination line 41 S 0–43 P 1 ( = 657 nm) is shown. A high-power (110 mW) single-mode external cavity laser diode at 1.3 µm is used for second-harmonic generation in a KTP crystal. The beat signal (signal to noise ratio about 25 dB) of 10 nW second-harmonic radiation at 1.3 µm and the radiation of a laser diode in the visible spectrum, as a step to realize a frequency chain, is observed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A pulsed direct current (DC) discharge ring–shaped plasma source has been proposed using single pole magnet arrangements, including a center magnet, with magnets in the setups (a): one circle, (b): two circles, and (c): three circles. The three-dimensional (3D) magnetic flux lines profiles, gyro–radii and Hall parameters of the electrons and ions, the electrical discharge characteristics, the temporal evolutions of the ion saturation currents were investigated to characterize the proposed plasma source. The calculated electron gyro–radii, re were 0.17, 1.64, 5.82?mm for setups (a), (b), and (c), respectively. The strong ring–shaped plasma discharges was observed for all setups. The typical discharge voltages were 1.0, 0.6, and 0.6?kV for setups (a), (b), and (c), respectively. The ion saturation currents, Iisat were 1.44, 2.88, and 2.2?mA for setups (a), (b), and (c), respectively at r?=?45?mm and t?=?+10?μs. The Iisat of setup (b) is less fluctuating, whereas Iisat of setup (a) and (c) is highly variable in all positions, so that setup (b) has the best profile among the setups.  相似文献

A Ni60Nb20Zr20 amorphous alloy was prepared by the single-roller melt-spinning technique. The change in the electrical resistance of the alloy after electrochemical hydrogen charging in 6 N KOH solution was investigated. The change in the hydrogen depth distribution in the alloy was also investigated by elastic recoil detection. As a result, we found that the electrical resistance of the alloy increases with increasing the hydrogen content in the alloy and that a large number of hydrogen atoms are remained in the surface area of the hydrogen-charged alloy.  相似文献

The distribution dependency of quantum dots was theoretically and experimentally investigated with respect to the basic properties optical excitation transfer via optical near-field interactions between quantum dots. The effects of three-dimensional structure and arraying precision of quantum dots on the signal transfer performance were analyzed. In addition, the quantum dot distribution dependency of the signal transfer performance was experimentally evaluated by using stacked CdSe quantum dots and an optical near-field fiber probe tip laminated with quantum dots serving as an output terminal, showing good agreement with theory. These results demonstrate the basic properties of signal transfer via optical near-field interactions and serve as guidelines for a nanostructure design optimized to attain the desired signal transfer performances.  相似文献

We propose an illumination mode near-field optical microscope operated under an optical feedback for imaging biological specimens in their natural environment. For feedback control, rapidly varying evanescent signal has been generated over the sample surface. It has been found that evanescent signal can be profitably used as a control signal by utilizing its sample feature dependent discrimination sensitivity. Neurons have been successfully observed both in air and in liquid with a resolution well beyond the diffraction limit.  相似文献
