The structure and hydrogen bonding of water in the vicinity of carboxybetaine homopolymer (poly[1-carboxy-N,N-dimethyl-N-(2'-methacryloyloxyethyl)methanaminium inner salt] (PolyCMB), and a random copolymer of CMB and n-butyl methacrylate, Poly(CMB-r-BMA), with various molecular weights were analyzed in their aqueous solutions and thin film with contours of O-H stretching of Raman and attenuated total reflection infrared (ATR-IR) spectra, respectively. The relative intensity of the collective band (C value) corresponding to a long-range coupling of O-H stretchings of the Raman spectra for aqueous solution of Poly(CMB-r-BMA) was very close to that for pure water, which is in contrast with the smaller C value in aqueous solution of ordinary polyelectrolytes. The number of hydrogen bonds collapsed by the presence of one monomer residue (N(corr) value) of PolyCMB and Poly(CMB-r-BMA) (CMB, 45 mol %) (M(w), 1.14 x 10(4) and 1.78 x 10(4), respectively) could be calculated from the C value. The N(corr) values were much smaller than those for ordinary polyelectrolytes and close to those for nonionic water-soluble polymers such as poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone). Furthermore, a water-insoluble Poly(CMB-r-BMA) with a large BMA content (M(w) = 347 kD, CMB 27 mol %) could be cast as a thin film (thickness, ca. 10 microm) on a ZnSe crystal for the ATR-IR analyses. At an early stage of sorption of water into the Poly(CMB-r-BMA) film, the O-H stretching band of IR spectra for the water incorporated in the film was similar to that for free water, which is in contrast with the drastic change in the O-H stretching band of water incorporated in polymer films such as poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(n-butyl methacrylate) (PBMA). The theoretical vibrational frequency for water molecules hydrating a betaine molecule calculated by using a density functional method supported the experimental results. The adhesion of human platelets to Poly(CMB-r-BMA) films was much less than that to PMMA and PBMA. With an increase in the content of CMB residue, the number of platelets adhered to the Poly(CMB-r-BMA) film drastically decreased and then gradually increased, probably due to the increase in the roughness of the film surface. These results suggest that the carboxybetaine monomer residues with a zwitterionic structure do not significantly disturb the hydrogen bonding between water molecules in both aqueous solution and thin film systems, resulting in the excellent blood-compatibility of the carboxybetaine polymers.  相似文献

The delta form of crystalline syndiotactic polystyrene is a clathrate molecular compound in which various aromatic molecules are encaged. We have investigated the size, shape, and connectivity of the molecular cavity in the crystal using a molecular dynamics simulation. The effects of the guest species on the cavity structure were investigated in detail. In order to systematically vary the guest structure, various aromatic guests, e.g., benzene, toluene, p-xylene, m-xylene, o and mesitylene were examined. The interstitial spaces between the guests and the polymer chains were analyzed by cluster analysis of the free volumes. The individual cavity volumes into which the guests are clathrated were also evaluated. It was found that the guest molecules can greatly affect not only the cavity size and shape but also the connectivity of the cavities. The transport of small molecules in the crystal is discussed in connection with the cavity structure.  相似文献

Three novel quaternary indole alkaloids with an unprecedented 1-azoniatricyclo[4.3.3.0(1,5)]undecane moiety, subincanadines A-C (1-3), as well as two new indole alkaloids with a 1-azabicyclo[5.2.2]undecane moiety, subincanadines D (4) and E (5), and a new indole alkaloid with a 1-azabicyclo[4.3.1]decane moiety, subincanadine F (6), have been isolated from the barks of Aspidosperma subincanum Mart, and the structures of 1-6 and the stereochemistry of 1-3 were elucidated by spectroscopic data and chemical means.  相似文献

We examined the crystallization of palm mid fraction (PMF) in oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion, after adding polyglycerol fatty acid esters (PGFEs). We employed ultrasonic velocity measurements and DSC techniques, with special emphases on the influences of fatty acid moiety and esterification of PGFE. Twelve types of PGFEs were examined as additives. PGFEs have a large hydrophilic moiety composed of 10 glycerol molecules to which palmitic, stearic and behenic acids were esterified as the fatty acid moiety with different degrees of esterification. Crystallization temperature (T(c)) of PMF remarkably increased with increasing concentrations of the PGFEs as the chain length of the fatty acid moiety increased, and the PGFE became more hydrophobic in accordance with increasing degree of esterification. We observed that the heterogeneous nucleation of PMF in the O/W emulsion was activated at the oil-water interface, where the template effect of very hydrophobic long saturated fatty acid chains of the PGFE might play the main role of heterogeneous nucleation.  相似文献

A convenient, efficient and stereoselective synthesis of a range of bis(alk-3-en-1-ynyl)benzenes with E- and Z-configuration is described. The protocol involves Cu-mediated cross-coupling reaction of (E)- and (Z)-alk-1-enyldisiamylboranes with (trimethylsilyl)ethynyl bromide and Pd/Cu-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction with diiodobenzene. The sequential cross-coupling reaction proceeds readily under extremely mild conditions in a one-pot manner to afford bis(alk-3-en-1-ynyl)benzenes in good to excellent yields. The optical properties of the products are also described.  相似文献

Two new copper(II) compounds of chloranilate and 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine have been synthesized, and the structures have been solved by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. The crystal structure of [[Cu(2)(CA)(terpy)(2)][Cu(CA)(2)]](n)(1), where H(2)CA = chloranilic acid and terpy = 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine, consists of two modules, the dimer unit [Cu(2)(CA)(terpy)(2)](2+) and the anionic mononuclear unit [Cu(CA)(2)](2)(-), forming an alternated chain. The chain is stabilized by semicoordinating and additional but efficient secondary bonding interactions. The crystal structure of [[Cu(2)(CA)(terpy)(2)(dmso)(2)][Cu(CA)(2)(dmso)(2)](EtOH)](n)(2), where dmso = dimethyl sulfoxide, consists of solvent molecules and two discrete modules, the dimer unit [Cu(2)(CA)(terpy)(2)(dmso)(2)](2+) and the anionic mononuclear unit [Cu(CA)(2)(dmso)(2)](2)(-). The dimer units form a layer by secondary bonding interactions, and the monomer units and ethanol molecules are introduced between the layers. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0-300 K. A weak ferromagnetic interaction was observed in 1, J(a) = 2.36 cm(-)(1) and zJ(b) = -0.68 cm(-)(1) while no exchange coupling was observed in 2.  相似文献

A highly sensitive HPLC method was developed for the determination of xenoestrogenic compound, bisphenol A (BPA) in human breast milk samples. After a two-step liquid-liquid extraction, BPA was derivatized with fluorescent labeling reagent, 4-(4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)benzoyl chloride (DIB-Cl). The excess fluorescent reagent could be removed effectively using a column-switching system. The separation of DIB-BPA from endogenous materials in milk was carried out on two C(18) columns and fluorescence intensity was monitored at 475 nm with the excitation of 350 nm. A good linearity (r = 0.994) was observed of BPA in the concentration range of 0.2-5.0 ng mL(-1) in breast milk, and the detection limit was 0.11 ng mL(-1) at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Intra- and inter-day precision (RSD, %) were less than 8.7 and 10.4, respectively. Twenty-three breast milk samples of healthy lactating women were analyzed for the BPA concentration; the mean value was 0.61 +/- 0.20 ng mL(-1), with no correlation to the lipid content of milk samples.  相似文献

Carbohydrate chains in glycoprotein pharmaceuticals have important roles for the expression of their biological activities. Therefore, development of an assessment method for the carbohydrate chains is an important parameter for quality control of glycoprotein pharmaceuticals such as newly developed therapeutic antibodies. In this report, we applied capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection to the analysis of carbohydrate chains after releasing with glycoamidase followed by derivatization with 3-aminobenzoic acid. We found that four major oligosaccharides present in antibody pharmaceuticals were successfully separated with good resolution. The present method showed good precision in both migration times and relative peak areas, and gave comparable accuracy with that using a derivatization method with 8-aminopyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonate.  相似文献

Macroscopic and microscopic dissipative structural patterns formed in the course of drying the fractionated and monodisperse bentonite particles (plate-like in their shape) in aqueous deionized suspension and in the presence of NaCl have been studied on a cover glass. The patterns coexisted with the broad ring of the hill accumulated with the particles and with the round hills are formed around the outside edges of the film and in the center, respectively, in the macroscopic scale. By the addition of NaCl the pattern shifts from the broad ring to the round hill in the center. The spoke-like cracks, which have been observed for the suspensions of the spherical particles so often hitherto, are not observed at all for the bentonite suspensions. The characteristic convection flow of the particles and the interactions among the particles and substrate are important for the macroscopic pattern formation. Wrinkled, branch-like and/or star-like fractal patterns are observed in the microscopic scale. These patterns are determined mainly by the electrostatic and polar interactions between the particles and/or between the particle and the substrate in the course of drying.  相似文献
