These last decades, it has been widely assumed that 18-crown-6-ether (CE) plays a spectator role during the chemical processes occurring in isolated host-guest complexes between peptides or proteins and CE after activation in mass spectrometers. Our present experimental and theoretical results challenge this hypothesis by showing that CE can abstract a proton or a protonated molecule from protonated peptides after activation by collisions in argon or electron capture/transfer. Furthermore, thanks to comparison between experimental and calculated values of collision cross-sections, we demonstrate that CE can change binding site after electron transfer. We also propose detailed mechanisms for these processes.  相似文献

We report on an innovative configuration of a supercontinuum laser based on an Yb-doped nonlinear microstructured fiber. Due to this particular fiber design combining amplification and nonlinear properties, a wideband output spectrum is generated in the fiber under the Q-switched regime. By exploiting stimulated Brillouin scattering, high peak power pulses are achieved and contribute to a spectral broadening due to a nonlinear wavelength conversion process. Both infrared (1000-1200 nm) and visible (650-750 nm) spectra are generated with an average power of 200 mW.  相似文献

A nitrogen‐, phosphorus‐ and chlorine‐containing flame retardant, hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCTP), has been covalently grafted onto the surface of multi‐wall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) to obtain MWNT‐HCTP. Polyamide 6 (PA6)/MWNT composites were then prepared via melt compounding. The flammability of PA6/MWNT composite was characterized by cone calorimetry, limiting oxygen index (LOI) and UL‐94 tests. The results showed that peak heat release rate of samples containing 3 wt% MWNT‐HCTP was only 460 kW/m2, which decreased by 35.2% compared with that of a neat PA6 sample. The LOI value was increased from 22.7% to 26.5%, and UL‐94 test performance was also significantly improved by the presence of MWNT‐HCTP. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical microscope analysis showed that modified MWNT had a better dispersion and compatibility in PA6 than unmodified MWNT. The composition of residue chars and volatile products was investigated by SEM/energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric‐FTIR, respectively. It was proposed that grafted HCTP was mainly functioned in the condensed phase, where P, N can synergistically promote char formation and Cl element can catch free radicals to terminate the chain reaction during combustion of the PA6 composite. This fast reaction (35 min overall) tolerates a wide range of functional groups and is carried out under very mild conditions. Highly concentrated colloidal suspensions exhibit a discontinuous shear-thickening behaviour. The transition from a low to a high viscosity state is associated to a large energy dissipation. This effect could find applications in structural damping while the viscosity increase brings added stiffness. In the present work, highly concentrated suspensions of monodisperse spherical silica particles in polyethylene glycol were selected for their strong thickening at low critical shear rates. Their damping properties were characterized by measuring the energy dissipated per cycle at low frequency (below 2 Hz) during oscillatory tests using a rheometer. The influence of parameters such as particle concentration, size and frequency was investigated. Damping was found to overcome that of benchmark elastomeric materials only in high frequencies and high strain domains.  相似文献

An innovative strategy is proposed to synthesize single-crystal nanowires (NWs) of the Al3+ dicarboxylate MIL-69(Al) MOF by using graphene oxide nanoscrolls as structure-directing agents. MIL-69(Al) NWs with an average diameter of 70±20 nm and lengths up to 2 μm were found to preferentially grow along the [001] crystallographic direction. Advanced characterization methods (electron diffraction, TEM, STEM-HAADF, SEM, XPS) and molecular modeling revealed the mechanism of formation of MIL-69(Al) NWs involving size-confinement and templating effects. The formation of MIL-69(Al) seeds and the self-scroll of GO sheets followed by the anisotropic growth of MIL-69(Al) crystals are mediated by specific GO sheets/MOF interactions. This study delivers an unprecedented approach to control the design of 1D MOF nanostructures and superstructures.  相似文献

The first colour photographs were created by a process introduced by Edmond Becquerel in 1848. The nature of these photochromatic images colours motivated a debate between scientists during the XIXth century, which is still not settled. We present the results of chemical analysis (EDX, HAXPES and EXAFS) and morphology studies (SEM, STEM) aiming at explaining the optical properties of the photochromatic images (UV‐visible spectroscopy and low loss EELS). We rule out the two hypotheses (pigment and interferences) that have prevailed since 1848, respectively based on variations in the oxidation degree of the compound forming the sensitized layer and periodically spaced photolytic silver planes. A study of the silver nanoparticles dispersions contained in the coloured layers showed specific localizations and sizes distributions of the nanoparticles for each colour. These results allow us to formulate a plasmonic hypothesis on the origin of the photochromatic images colours.  相似文献
