Complicated vacuum structure and electromagnetic properties of constituent quarks

On the total variation for functions of several variables and a multidimensional analog of Helly’s selection principle

We introduce the new notion of total variation for the Hardy class of functions of several variables and state various properties, similar to those in the one-dimensional case, for functions belonging to this class. In particular, we prove a precise version of Helly’s selection principle for this class.     

Interaction and spectra of the surface acoustoelectric fluctuations

The experimental results of the study of the surface acoustoelectric fluctuations dynamics in the amplifying circular structure piezoelectric-semiconductor are presented. The rule of the changes in auto-oscillation spectra with the growth of the drift velocity of the charge carrier was established. The influence of the monocromatic wave excited in the structure, upon the fluctuations evolution and the final stabilization was studied.     

Quartet spectra in three-electron atoms

Routine calculations have been performed on the quartet terms of configurations 1s2snl and 1s2pnl, n=2, 3, 4, 5; l=0, 1, 2, 3 for the isoelectronic series Li-Ne⁺⁷ in the one-configuration approximation by direct minimization. The conditions for orthogonality between wave functions identical in symmetry are provided by the frozen excited core approximation. The errors of this approximation are examined, and it is shown that the results are quite satisfactory for qualitative analysis of quartet spectra in the z sequence. A study is made of the changes in relative position of the levels as the nuclear charge alters; the intersection of terms identical in symmetry as functions of z is discussed. Rheological behavior of molten impact-resistant polystyrene under large-amplitude vibrations superposed on a fast constant shear flow

A study has been made concerning the rheological characteristics of molton impact-resistant polystyrene, under low-frequency (up to 40 Hz) vibrations with a velocity amplitude of the same order of magnitude as the rate of a constant shear flow on which they are superposed. It is shown that under these conditions of deformation at shear rates above 100 sec^?1, a melt of this polymer behaves like an inelastic nonlinearly viscous fluid.     

On the minimum of extended dissipation in viscous nematodynamics

This paper develops the variational principle of minimum extended dissipation for slow (low Reynolds number) flows of nematic liquids as described by the five parametric Leslie–Ericksen–Parodi (LEP) constitutive equations. It is shown that the Eulers equations for minimizer of the extended dissipative functional are the Stokes equations for the LEP fluid. When the molecular (including magnetic) field is absent, the extended dissipative functional coincides with the true dissipative functional, whose Euler equations are the Stokes equations for the Ericksen fluid.
