Structural and spectral studies of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-methyl- and N(4)-dimethylthiosemicarbazone and their metal complexes

Cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-methyl- and N(4)-dimethylthiosemicarbazone have been prepared and characterized by physical and spectral methods. Use of different ligand-to-metal chloride molar ratios in the preparation of the complexes has produced both mononuclear and polynuclear species for the three metal ions. Crystal structures of the uncomplexed di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazone and a nickel(II) complex, di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-dimethylthiosemicarbazone, have been determined and aid the assignments of the i.r., n.m.r., u.v.–vis.–n.i.r. and e.s.r. spectra.     

Two New Steroidal Saponins from Diuranthera inarticulata

There are only three species in the genus Diuranthera (Liliaceae), which is endemic in the southwest of China1. Four steroidal saponins, diuranthosides A-C and chloromalo-side A were isolated from the fresh roots of D. major. Three New Diterpenoids from Euphorbia wallichii

Three new abietane diterpene lactones, 3α-hydroxyjolkinolide A (1), ent-8α, 14β-dihydroxy-13(15)-ene-16(12α)-abietanolide (2) and ent-8α,14α-dihydroxy-13(15)-ene-16(12α)-abietanolide (3) as well as a known abietane diterpene jolkinolide A (4) were isolated from the roots of Euphorbia wallichii. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.     

Er3+,Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃沟道波导放大器

在自行研制的Er3 ，Yb3 共掺磷酸盐玻璃基质上用离子交换方法制作出沟导光波导放大器。在110mW的抽运功率下(抽运光波长为980nm)，在1．8cm长的器件上获得了3．8dB的小信号(信号光波长为1．55μm)增益，单位长度上的增益为2．1dB／cm。
