Photoresponsive polyamides containing main‐chain pentamethylated norbornadiene (NBD) moieties are obtained in quantitative yields via the Yamazaki–Higashi reaction between a pentamethylated NBD dicarboxylic acid and a series of aromatic diamines. Chemical structures are confirmed by 1H and 13C NMR and weight average molar masses measured by SEC are in the range of 21,500–28,600 g mol?1 with chain dispersities close to 2. Physical properties are investigated by FTIR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis, and viscosimetry. All obtained polyamides are amorphous with glass transition temperatures ranging from 68 to 124 °C. They are soluble at room temperature in common organic solvents and exhibit good thermal stabilities with Td10 values ranging from 175 to 276 °C. The photochemical isomerization of the NBD moiety into quadricyclane (QC) is studied by UV/vis spectroscopy after sunlight irradiation of polymer films. For all polyamides, a first‐order kinetic rate is observed for the conversion of NBD to QC. The thermal release of the stored energy associated to the reverse transformation of QC groups into NBD ones is about 90–95 kJ mol?1 as measured by DSC of the irradiated polymer films. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The turbulent interaction between two opposed plane jets separated by a distance H is experimentally studied by using a PIV
(Particle Image Velocimetry) method and numerically investigated by means of a finite volume code. Two turbulence models have
been tested: the standard k-ɛ model and a second-order model. The validation of the numerical study was performed by comparing
the results with experimental data obtained for the case of two interacting opposed jets at ambient temperature (isothermal
case). The effect of the angle of inclination of the jets is studied. Conclusions of the validation are then used to study
the interaction between two jets, one being maintained at ambient temperature whereas the other is heated. Results show that

A series of 3,4‐bis‐chalcone‐N‐arylpyrazoles 3a‐h was prepared conveniently from diacetyl pyrazoles 2a,b . All reactions were carried out under conventional thermal heating and/or microwave irradiation. The structure of the latter functionally pyrazoles was confirmed under the bases of their IR, mass, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The X‐ray diffraction of compound 3e not only confirmed the chemical structure of 3a‐h , but also showed the E configuration of their chalcone moieties. Treatment of compound 3e with phenyl hydrazine in presence of acetic acid afforded the tri‐pyrazle 4 . The anti‐inflammatory activity of the newly synthesized compounds was investigated. Some of these compounds showed a moderate activity when compared with indomethacin as a reference drug. The combination between chalcone and pyrazole moieties revealed a variable effect in anti‐inflammatory activity. 相似文献

A new method has been developed to improve the photoluminescence intensity of porous silicon (PS), which is first time that LiBr is used for passivation of PS. Immersion of the PS in a LiBr solution, followed by a thermal treatment at 100 °C for 30 min under nitrogen, leads to a nine fold increase in the intensity of the photoluminescence. The atomic force microscope (AFM) shows an increase of the nanoparticle dimension compared to the initial dimension of the PS nanostructure. The LiBr covers the nanoparticles of silicon without changing the wavelength distribution of the optical excitation and emission spectra. Moreover, a significant decrease of reflectivity was observed for the wavelength in the range of 350-500 nm. 相似文献

Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy was used to determine the electrical band gap of nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si) deposited by plasma enhancement chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) on porous alumina structure by fitting the experimental spectra using a model based on the quantum confinement of electrons in Si nanocrystallites having spherical and cylindrical forms. This model permits to correlate the PL spectra to the microstructure of the porous aluminum silicon layer (PASL) structure. The microstructure of aluminum surface layer and nc-Si films was systematically studied by atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was found that the structure of the nanocrystalline silicon layer (NSL) is dependent of the porosity (void) of the porous alumina layer (PAL) substrate. This structure was performed in two steps, namely the PAL substrate was prepared using sulfuric acid solution attack on an Al foil and then the silicon was deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) on it. The optical constants (n and k as a function of wavelength) of the deposited films were obtained using variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) in the UV-vis-NIR regions. The SE spectrum of the porous aluminum silicon layer (PASL) was modeled as a mixture of void, crystalline silicon and aluminum using the Cauchy model approximation. The specific surface area (SSA) was estimated and was found to decrease linearly when porosity increases. Based on this full characterization, it is demonstrated that the optical characteristics of the films are directly correlated to their micro-structural properties. 相似文献

A series of 3-ethyl(methyl)-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydrobenzo[g]quinazolines (1–17) were synthesized, characterized, and evaluated in vitro for their antiangiogenesis VEGFR-2-targeting, antiproliferative, and antiapoptotic activities against breast MCF-7 and liver HepG2 cells. Flow cytometry was used to determine cancer-cell cycle distributions, and apoptosis was detected using annexin-V-FITC (V) and propidium iodide (PI) dyes. Fluorescence microscopy, in combination with Hoechst staining was used to detect DNA fragmentation. Most of the tested benzo[g]quinazolines demonstrated promising activity (IC50 = 8.8 ± 0.5–10.9 ± 0.9 μM) and (IC50 = 26.0 ± 2.5–40.4 ± 4.1 μM) against MCF-7 and HepG2, respectively. Doxorubicin was used as a reference drug. Compounds 13–15 showed the highest activity against both cancer cell lines. Differential effects were detected by cell-cycle analysis, indicating similarities in the actions of 13 and 14 against both MCF7 and HepG2, involving the targeting of G1 and S phases, respectively. Compound 15 showed similar indices against both cells, indicating that its cytotoxicity toward the examined cancer cells could be unselective. Interestingly, 14 and 15 showed the highest apoptosis (30.76% and 25.30%, respectively) against MCF-7. The DNA fragmentation results agreed well with the apoptosis detected by flow cytometry. In terms of antiangiogenesis activity, as derived from VEGFR-2 inhibition, 13 and 15 were comparable to sorafenib and effected 1.5- and 1.4-fold inhibition relative to the standard sorafenib. A docking study was conducted to investigate the interaction between the synthesized benzo[g]quinazolines and the ATP-binding site within the catalytic domain of VEGFR-2. 相似文献

Transparent semiconducting thin films of titanium oxide (TiO2) were deposited on glass substrates by the sol–gel method and spin-coating technique. The physical properties of the prepared films were studied as a function of the number of spun-cast layers. The microstructure and surface morphology of the TiO2 films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), with respect to the film thickness. The XRD analysis reveals that the films are polycrystalline with an anatase crystal structure and a preferred grain orientation in the (101) direction. The morphological properties were investigated by AFM, which shows a porous morphology structure for the films. The optical properties of the films were characterized by UV–Visible spectrophotometry, which shows that the films are highly transparent in the visible region and their transparency is slightly influenced by the film thickness, with an average value above 80 %. The dependence of the refractive index (n), extinction coefficient (k), and absorption coefficient (α) of the films on the wavelength was investigated. A shift in the optical band gap energy of the films from 3.75 to 3.54 eV, as a function of the film thickness, has been observed. 相似文献

Novel β‐enaminonitrile of 1‐(6‐phenyl‐pyridazin‐3‐yl)‐pyrazole derivative 2 was formed using (6‐phenyl‐pyridazin‐3‐yl)‐hydrazine ( 1 ) and 2‐ethoxymethylene‐malononitrile. The β‐enaminonitrile derivative 2 was in turn used as precursors for the preparation of 1‐(6‐phenyl‐pyridazin‐3‐yl)‐pyrazoles ( 3 , 9 , 11 ), 1‐(6‐phenyl ‐pyridazin‐3‐yl)‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d]pyrimidines ( 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 ) and some of their corresponding N‐acyclic nucleosides ( 17 , 18 ). All synthesized compounds were tested for their antimicrobial evaluation, and compounds 3 , 9 , 17 , and 18 showed more significant activity than the other tested compounds and some known drugs (standers). 相似文献
