The purpose TUS space experiment is to study cosmic rays of ultrahigh energies produced by extensive air showers from space. The concentrator is located on satellite, made in the form of the Fresnel mirror towards the earth’s atmosphere, the focus of which is a photodetector. The angle of view of the mirror is ±4.5° that for a given height of the orbit corresponds to the area 80 × 80 km2 on ground. The ground complex consisting of a number of stations, to check the optical system of the experiment is created, (their location and the amount will be determined after the launch of the satellite based on its actual orbit).  相似文献

Thermally stable organic diradicals with a triplet ground state along with large singlet-triplet energy gap have significant potential for advanced technological applications. A series of phenylene-bridged diradicals with oxoverdazyl and nitronyl nitroxide units were synthesized via a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of iodoverdazyls with a nitronyl nitroxide-2-ide gold(I) complex with high yields. The diradicals exhibit high stability and do not decompose in an inert atmosphere up to 180 °C. For the diradicals, both substantial AF (ΔEST≈−64 cm−1) and FM (ΔEST≥25 and 100 cm−1) intramolecular exchange interactions were observed. The sign of the exchange interaction is determined both by the bridging moiety (para- or meta-phenylene) and by the type of oxoverdazyl block (C-linked or N-linked). Upon crystallization, diradicals with the triplet ground state form unique one-dimensional exchange-coupled chains with strong intra- and weak inter-diradical ferromagnetic coupling.  相似文献

The abundance of carbon single-wall nanotubes (SWNTs) in soot synthesized by pulsed laser evaporation of graphite is studied over a wide range of synthesis conditions. The derived SWNT growth time-scale appears to be much longer than any characteristic time-scale in a simplified model of the relaxation of a high-pressure hot condensing gas bubble in a background atmosphere. It is concluded that SWNT nucleation and growth take place in relaxed, condensed, thermalized evaporation products at an optimal temperature between 850-1250 °C at a rate of few 7m length per second, which is consistent with a condensed state "precipitation" mechanism for the SWNT formation.  相似文献

A time-resolved cathodo-and photoluminescence study of nanostructural modifications of Al2O3 (powders and ceramics) excited by heavy-current electron beams, as well as by pulsed synchrotron radiation, is reported. It was found that Al2O3 nanopowders probed before and after Fe+ ion irradiation have the same phase composition (the γ-phase/δ-phase ratio is equal to 1), an average grain size equal to ~17 nm, and practically the same set of broad cathodoluminescence (CL) bands peaking at 2.4, 3.2, and 3.8 eV. It was established that Al2O3 nanopowders exhibit fast photoluminescence (PL) (a band at 3.2 eV), whose decay kinetics is described by two exponential stages (τ1 = 0.5 ns, τ2 = 5.5 ns). Three bands, at 5.24, 6.13, and 7.44 eV, were isolated in the excitation spectrum of the fast PL. Two alternate models of PL centers were considered, according to which the 3.2-eV luminescence either originates from radiative relaxation of the P? centers (anion-cation vacancy pairs) or is due to the formation of surface analogs of the F+ center (F S + -type centers). In addition to the fast luminescence, nano-Al2O3 was found to produce slow luminescence in the form of a broad band peaking at 3.5 eV. The excitation spectrum of the 3.5-eV luminescence obtained at T = 13 K exhibits two doublet bands with maxima at 7.8 and 8.3 eV. An analysis of the luminescent properties of nanostructural and single-crystal Al2O3 suggests that the slow luminescence of nanopowders at 3.5 eV is due to radiative annihilation of excitons localized near structural defects.  相似文献

Previously suggested correlations of BL Lac-type objects with the arrival directions of the ultrahigh-energy cosmic ray primaries are tested by making use of the HiRes stereoscopic data. The results of the study support the conclusion that BL Lacs may be cosmic ray sources and suggest the presence of a small (a few percent) fraction of neutral primaries at E > 1019 eV.  相似文献
