Acetolysis of 8-bromoneoisolongifolene generates, besides two normal products (of elimination and SN2 displacement), which were minor, one rearranged elimination product and a tertiary acetate. The rearranged diolefine arises from acetic acid-catalysed rearrangement of the normal elimination product, while the tertiary acetate is a Wagner substitution product arising from a syn-migration. In this context various factors controlling such migrations are discussed and, the possible role of energetics of the incipient carbonium ion at the migration origin highlighted.  相似文献

Modulated gain spectroscopy is a sensitive, widely applicable, rovibronically state selective, sub-Doppler, triple resonance method for examining excited vibronic levels which are Franck—Condon inaccessible from thermally populated levels of the electronic ground state. A cw optically pumped molecular laser (OPL) prepares a steady-state population in a selected, vibrationally highly excited, rotation-vibration level of the electronic ground state (the lower level of the OPL transition). An intensity-modulated, single frequency dye laser excites part of this intracavity OPL-prepared population to the level of interest, thereby causing an increase in the OPL population inversion density, and, in turn, its output power. As the frequency of the dye laser is scanned, resonances are selectively detected by the appearance of modulation on the OPL output power; discrimination against dye laser excitations out of levels unconnected with the OPL is nearly perfect. Sub-Doppler (≈300 MHz FWHM) transitions are observed, thereby extending knowledge of the Na2A1Σ+u state from v=44 to 62.  相似文献

A sulfite oxidase (SOx) purified from leaves of Syzygium cumini (Jamun) was immobilized covalently onto a gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)/chitosan (CHIT)/carboxylated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (cMWCNTs)/polyaniline (PANI) composite that was electrodeposited onto the surface of a gold (Au) electrode. A novel and highly sensitive sulfite biosensor was developed that used this enzyme electrode (SOx/AuNPs/CHIT/cMWCNT/PANI/Au) as the working electrode, Ag/AgCl as the standard electrode, and Pt wire as the auxiliary electrode. The modified electrode was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) before and after the immobilization of the SOx. The sensor produced its optimum response within 3 s when operated at 50 mVs−1 in 0.1 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, and at 35 °C. The linear range and detection limit of the sensor were 0.75–400 μM and 0.5 μM (S/N = 3), respectively. The biosensor was employed to determine sulfite levels in fruit juices and alcoholic beverages. The enzyme electrode was used 300 times over a period of three months when stored at 4 °C.  相似文献

A series of novel calix[4]arene enones (5-7) and cinnamates (12-14) have been synthesized and evaluated for ensuring protection from ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Spectroscopic analyses has revealed that compound 6 absorbs ultraviolet radiations between 280 and 350 nm with an absorption maximum at 312 nm. Its molar absorption coefficient (ε) (>5 × 10(4)M(-1)cm(-1)) and bandwidth are larger than those for the commercially used sun protectants (oxybenzone (OB), 2-ethylhexyl 4-methoxycinnamate (OMC) and avobenzone). The in vitro Sun Protection Factor (SPF) measurement revealed an SPF of 5.2 at 2% concentration of 6 in home made emulsion formulations while combination of 2% each of 6 and OMC gave an SPF of 8.8. Lower sun protection seems to be compensated by significant protection from more harmful UVA radiations (UVA/UVB absorbance ratio of 0.62).  相似文献

Mammalian cell surfaces are modified with complex arrays of glycans that play major roles in health and disease. Abnormal glycosylation is a hallmark of cancer; terminal sialic acid and fucose in particular have high levels in tumor cells, with positive implications for malignancy. Increased sialylation and fucosylation are due to the upregulation of a set of sialyltransferases (STs) and fucosyltransferases (FUTs), which are potential drug targets in cancer. In the past, several advances in glycostructural biology have been made with the determination of crystal structures of several important STs and FUTs in mammals. Additionally, how the independent evolution of STs and FUTs occurred with a limited set of global folds and the diverse modular ability of catalytic domains toward substrates has been elucidated. This review highlights advances in the understanding of the structural architecture, substrate binding interactions, and catalysis of STs and FUTs in mammals. While this general understanding is emerging, use of this information to design inhibitors of STs and FUTs will be helpful in providing further insights into their role in the manifestation of cancer and developing targeted therapeutics in cancer.  相似文献

The rotationally symmetric flow over a rotating disk in an incompressible viscous fluid is analyzed by a new method when the fluid at infinity is in a state of rigid rotation (in the same or in the opposite sense) about the same axis as that of the disk. Asymptotic expansions for the velocity field over the entire flow field are obtained for the general class of one-parameter rotationally symmetric flows. This method is further extended to the case when a uniform suction or injection is assumed at the rotating disk. Fluid motion induced by oscillatory suction of small amplitude at the rotating disk is also discussed.An initial-value analysis reveals that resonance is possible only when the angular velocity of the rotating fluid is greater than that of the rotating disk.  相似文献
