Important improvements of diseases of the rotator cuff supraspinatus tendons are seen after shock wave (SW) treatment. Neo‐angiogenesis stimulation and hypercellularization result from short periods of treatment. The present work is an attempt to provide a first approach to these bioprocesses, most likely associated with structural aspects resulting from biochemical changes brought about by the SW. Immunohistochemical data indicate that collagen areas in the tissues are influenced the most by the SW. Presence of additional collagens I and III by the SW treatment is inferred from an observed increase of the tissue's tinctorial properties. The tools selected for our studies are Raman spectroscopy and the ultrasensitive surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Here we extract information from 1016 SERS spectra of 52 biopsies of human tendon tissues on Ag nanoparticles before and after the SW treatment. The spectral information is analyzed on the basis of Raman and SERS data of collagen types I and III and their most abundant amino acid components. SERS spectra of tissues reveal the presence of characteristic modes related mainly to amino acids. It has been found that the main differences between both tissue samples could be correlated with the structural conformational aspects of collagen. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We numerically study the dynamics of model immune networks with random and scale-free topologies. We observe that a memory state is reached when the antigen is attached to the most connected sites of the network, whereas a percolation state may occur when the antigen attaches to the less connected sites. For increasing values of the connectivity of the antibody directly binded to the antigen, its population converges exponentially to the asymptotic value of the memory state. On the other hand, the next-nearest populations evolve slowly as power-laws towards the virgin-like state.  相似文献

Random search theory has been previously explored for both continuous and intermittent scanning modes with full target detection capacity. Here we present a new class of random search problems in which a single searcher performs flights of random velocities, the detection probability when it passes over a target location being conditioned to the searcher speed. As a result, target detection involves an N-passage process for which the mean search time is here analytically obtained through a renewal approximation. We apply the idea of speed-selective detection to random animal foraging since a fast movement is known to significantly degrade perception abilities in many animals. We show that speed-selective detection naturally introduces an optimal level of behavioral intermittence in order to solve the compromise between fast relocations and target detection capability.  相似文献

The title compound, C23H32O4, has a 3β configuration, with the epoxy O atom at 16α,17α. Rings A and C have slightly distorted chair conformations. Because of the presence of the C5=C6 double bond, ring B assumes an 8β,9α‐half‐chair conformation slightly distorted towards an 8β‐sofa. Ring D has a conformation close to a 14α‐envelope. The acetoxy and acetyl substituents are twisted with respect to the average molecular plane of the steroid. The conformation of the mol­ecule is compared with that given by a quantum chemistry calculation using the RHF–AM1 (RHF = Roothaan Hartree–Fock) Hamiltonian model. Cohesion of the crystal can be attributed to van der Waals interactions and weak intermolecular C—H?O interactions, which link the mol­ecules head‐to‐tail along [101].  相似文献

Summary: The aims of the present work were to prepare and characterize nanocapsules containing antitumoral agent methotrexate (MTX) from poly(D ,L -lactide) (PLA) and poly(D ,L -lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol) diblock copolymer (PLA-PEG) with the purpose of administrating this drug by topical ocular route for primary ocular lymphoma treatment. Nanocapsules were prepared by the interfacial deposition of preformed polymer. The influences of the initial amount of MTX on the encapsulation efficiency, drug recovery and drug content, as well as the physicochemical properties of the particles were evaluated. The particle mean diameters were 246 and 146 nm, and zeta potential values were −38.8 and −33.6 mV, for the MTX-loaded nanocapsules prepared from PLA and PLA-PEG, respectively. The methotrexate content in the particles increased with the increasing in the drug amount added to the formulations, but the drug recovery decreased significantly. After 4 h of in vitro release, 28 and 86% of MTX was released from PLA and PLA-PEG nanocapsules, respectively.  相似文献

We analyze potentiometric and conductimetric measurements simultaneously performed on Electric Double-Layer Magnetic Fluid based on cobalt ferrite nanoparticles, in order to obtain the pH-dependence of the particle surface charge density. We propose a mechanism for the charging of the particle surface. This model considers the ferrofluid solution as a mixture of strong and weak diprotic acids. We show how an exact analytical treatment involving proton transfer between the particle surface and the bulk solution allows the construction of a speciation diagram of the charged superficial sites. The saturation value of the superficial density of charge is found to be equal to 0.326 ± 0.065 C m-2. Received 9 May 2001 and Received in final form 17 July 2001  相似文献

The possibility of improving the discrimination capability (DC) in color pattern recognition is analyzed. In each channel, red, green and blue (R, G, B), a region of support is designed to improve the behavior of the Phase Only Filter matched to the corresponding component of the target. The procedure of optimization is based on the analytical expressions which give the DC in R, G, B channels, for real valued input scenes.
