Boron trifluoride–etherate (BF3·OEt2) in 2,2,2‐trifluoroethanol (TFE) was found to be a highly efficient promoter system for the intramolecular alkyne–aldehyde metathesis of o-(3-arylpropargyloxy)benzaldehydes. The reaction produces the corresponding 3-aroyl-2H-chromenes in excellent yields under metal-free conditions.  相似文献

A mild and easy to perform multicomponent coupling involving phosphines, arynes generated from 2‐(trimethylsilyl)aryl triflates, and CO2 allowing the transition‐metal‐free synthesis of zwitterionic phosphonium benzoates has been developed. The reaction proceeds via the generation of 1 : 1 zwitterionic intermediates from phosphines and arynes followed by the interception with CO2 to deliver the carboxylates in moderate to good yields instead of the anticipated benzooxaphosphol‐3(1H)‐ones.  相似文献

Organo‐functionalized materials with porous structure offer unique adsorption, catalytic and sensing properties. These unique properties make them available for various applications, including catalysis, CO2 capture and utilization, and drug delivery. The properties and the performance of these unique materials can be altered with suitable modifications on their surface. In this review, we summarize the recent advances in the preparation and applications of organo‐functionalized porous materials with different structures. Initially, a brief historical overview of functionalized porous materials is presented, and the subsequent sections discuss the recent developments and applications of various functional porous materials. In particular, the focus is given on the various methods used for the preparation of organo‐functionalized materials and their important roles in the heterogenization of homogeneous catalysts. A special emphasis is also given on the applications of these functionalized porous materials for catalysis, CO2 capture and drug delivery.  相似文献

The effect that surface-active solutes, such as aliphatic alcohols and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), have on the extent of bubble coalescence in liquids under different sonication conditions has been investigated by measuring the volume change of the solution following a period of sonication. In general, the adsorption of surface-active solutes onto the bubble surface retards bubble coalescence. Within the limitations of the measurement method and the systems studied, bubble coalescence does not appear to be dependent on the applied acoustic power. Also, varying the applied acoustic frequency has a minimal effect on the extent of bubble coalescence in systems where long-range electrostatic repulsion between bubbles, imparted by the adsorbed surface-active solutes, dominates. However, when short-range steric repulsion (or other short-range repulsive forces) is the primary factor in inhibiting bubble coalescence, the dependence on the applied acoustic frequency becomes apparent, with less coalescence inhibition at higher frequencies. It is also concluded that SDS does not reach an equilibrium adsorption level at the bubble/solution interface under the sonication conditions used. On the basis of this conclusion, a method is proposed for estimating nonequilibrium surface excess values for solutes that do not fully equilibrate with the bubble/solution interface during sonication. For the case of SDS in the presence of excess NaCl, the method was further employed to estimate the maximum lifetime of bubbles in a multibubble field. It was concluded that an acoustic bubble in a multibubble field has a finite lifetime, and that this lifetime decreases with increasing applied frequency, ranging from up to 0.35 +/- 0.05 ms for 213 kHz to 0.10 +/- 0.05 ms for 1062 kHz. These estimated lifetimes equate to a bubble in a multibubble field undergoing an upper limit of 50-200 oscillations over its lifetime for applied ultrasound frequencies between 200 kHz and 1 MHz.  相似文献

Results describing the interaction of a single sulfur atom with cationic gold clusters (Au(n) (+), n=1-8) using density functional theory are described. Stability of these clusters is studied through their binding energies, second order differences in the total energies, fragmentation behavior, and atom attachment energies. The lowest energy structures for these clusters appear to be three dimensional right from n=3. In most cases the sulfur atom in the structure of Au(n)S(+) is observed to displace the gold atom siting at the peripheral site of the Au(n) (+) cluster. The dissociation channels of Au(n)S(+) clusters follow the same trend as Au(n) (+) cluster, based on the even/odd number of gold atoms in the cluster, with the exception of Au(3)S(+). This cluster dissociates into Au and Au(2)S(+), signifying the relative stability of Au(2)S(+) cluster regardless of having an odd number of valence electrons. Clusters with an even number of gold atoms dissociate into Au and Au(n-1)(S)(+) and clusters with an odd number of gold atoms dissociate into Au(2) and Au(n-2)(S)(+) clusters. An empirical relation is found between the conduction molecular orbital and the number of atoms in the Au(n)S(+) cluster.  相似文献

Optical studies have been carried out on two fluorinated isothiocyanato nematic liquid crystal (LC) compounds 4′-butylcyclohexyl-3, 5-difluoro-4-isothiocyanatobiphenyl and 4′-pentylcyclohexyl-3, 5-difluoro-4-isothiocynatobiphenyl. Transition temperatures of the two samples were confirmed using a polarizing microscope. The two LC compounds were found to exhibit fairly high clearing temperatures. Measurements of refractive indices of the two compounds were done by using thin prism method with He-Ne laser beam of wavelength 630 nm. Birefringence of the two LC compounds was calculated from the measured refractive indices. Both the compounds are found to display fairly high values of birefringence. Validation of a modified four-parameter model, based on Vuks equation describing the temperature dependence of refractive indices of the two liquid crystals, is also presented in this paper. The model is validated by fitting the experimentally measured values of refractive indices, birefringence and average refractive indices of the two nematic LCs with the theoretical values. In this paper, the calculation of order parameters of the LCs is presented by using two methods: direct extrapolation method based solely on the birefringence data and by using modified Vuks method based on Haller’s extrapolation. As observed from the obtained results, this procedure of calculating order parameter gives very reasonable results.  相似文献

Ferrocenyl terpyridine 3d metal complexes and their analogues, viz. [M(Fc-tpy)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (1-4), [Zn(Ph-tpy)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (5) and [Zn(Fc-dpa)(2)]X(2) (X = ClO(4), 6; PF(6), 6a), where M = Fe(II) in 1, Co(II) in 2, Cu(II) in 3 and Zn(II) in 4, Fc-tpy is 4'-ferrocenyl-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, Ph-tpy is 4'-phenyl-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine and Fc-dpa is ferrocenyl-N,N-dipicolylmethanamine, are prepared and their DNA binding and photocleavage activity in visible light studied. Complexes 2, 4, 5 and 6a that are structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography show distorted octahedral geometry with the terpyridyl ligands binding to the metal in a meridional fashion, with Fc-dpa in 6a showing a facial binding mode. The Fc-tpy complexes display a charge transfer band in the visible region. The ferrocenyl (Fc) complexes show a quasi-reversible Fc(+)-Fc redox couple within 0.48 to 0.66 V vs. SCE in DMF-0.1 M TBAP. The DNA binding constants of the complexes are ~10(4) M(-1). Thermal denaturation and viscometric data suggest DNA surface binding through electrostatic interaction by the positively charged complexes. Barring the Cu(II) complex 3, the complexes do not show any chemical nuclease activity in the presence of glutathione. Complexes 1-4 exhibit significant plasmid DNA photocleavage activity in visible light via a photoredox pathway. Complex 5, without the Fc moiety, does not show any DNA photocleavage activity. The Zn(II) complex 4 shows a significant PDT effect in HeLa cancer cells giving an IC(50) value of 7.5 μM in visible light, while being less toxic in the dark (IC(50) = 49 μM).  相似文献

Pure and doped samples of potassium bromate (KBrO3) were subjected to precompression and their thermal decomposition kinetics was studied by thermogravimetry at 668 K. The samples decomposed in two stages governed by the same rate law (contracting square equation), but with different rate constants, k 1 (for a α ≤ 0.45) and k 2 (for α ≥ 0.45), as in the case of uncompressed samples. The rate constants k 1 and k 2 decreased dramatically on precompression, the decrease being higher for doped samples. Cation dopants (Ba2+, Al3+) caused more desensitization effect than the anion dopants ( \textSO4 2- {\text{SO}}_{4}{}^{ 2- } , PO4 3−) of the same magnitude of charge and concentration. The results favor ionic diffusion mechanism proposed earlier on the basis of doping studies.  相似文献

This paper reports preparation of nanoparticles of oxides by the citrate–nitrate process and the effect of metal ions on the thermal decomposition characteristics of the corresponding citrate–nitrate gel precursors. In order to understand the effect of metal ions on the thermal decomposition characteristics of the precursors, we have prepared a series of single component oxides such as MO, where M = Zn, MO2, where M = Sn, Ce, Zr, and M2O3 where M = Al, Fe, Bi. In all the cases the citrate to nitrate ratio was fixed at 0.3. In order to ascertain the decomposition characteristics of the gel samples, TG/DTA studies were performed on the dried gel samples. After complete physico-chemical characterization of the precursors and the calcined products, it could be concluded that the nature of decomposition of the precursors depends largely on the nature of the metal ions. Finally, the advantages of the citrate–nitrate process such as its high degree of reproducibility, its potential for large-scale production of nano-crystalline ceramic oxide powders and its lower cost could be established based on a series of experiments and examples.  相似文献

Leaves of Centella asiatica (Centella) were analysed for their triterpene composition and bioactivity such as collagen enhancement, antioxidant, anticellulite and UV protection capacity properties. Triterpenes of Centella were measured using HPLC-PAD on an Excil ODS 5 mm (C18) column for the simultaneous determination of asiatic acid, madecassic acid, asiaticoside and madecassoside. Centella was found to contain significant amounts of madecassoside (3.10 ± 4.58 mg/mL) and asiaticoside (1.97 ± 2.65 mg/mL), but was low in asiatic and madecassic acid. The highest collagen synthesis was found at 50 mg/mL of Centella extracts. The antioxidant activity of Centella (84%) was compared to grape seed extract (83%) and Vitamin C (88%). Its lipolytic activity was observed by the release of glycerol (115.9 μmol/L) at 0.02% concentration. Centella extracts exhibited similar UV protection effect to OMC at 10% concentration. In view of these results, the potential application of Centella in food and pharmaceutical industries is now widely open.  相似文献
