Lepton pair production in two-dimensional QCD

Large q² lepton pair production is calculated in leading order in 1/N_c in two-dimensional quantum chromodynamics (QCD). From this confinement model the (Drell-Yan) parton model result is recovered.     

Regioselectivity of metalation of alkylmercaptoolefins

The monosulfoxide of cis-dialkylmercaptoethylene $\text{6}$ and the β-alkylmercapto acrylnitrile $\text{15}$ deliver on deprotonation with tert.-butyllithium almost exclusively α-deprotonated species. According to reactions with electrophiles these functionally substituted vinyllithium derivatives are configurationally labile.     

Carbosilylierte Phospha-alkene

Carbosilylated phospha-alkenes Lithium-tris-trimethylsilylmethanide, (Me₃Si)₃C-Li, reacts with various organodichlorophosphines to give tris-(trimethylsilyl)-methyl-organochlorophosphines, the termal treatment of which under elimination of trimethylchlorosilane results in formation of the title compounds of the general formula B . NMR-data as well as the synthesis of compounds A and B will be discussed.     

Quality assurance in inaa via short-lived isomeric transitions

As a basic step to quality assurance of INAA via shortlived isomeric transitions replicate analyses of NaCl are performed on an INAA facility specifically designed for this purpose and from the series of net peak areas of Na-24m (20 ms) and Cl-38m (715 ms) it can be shown that the system is quantitative and that its precision is determined by counting statistics. Future improvements of the method may be expected from gamma spectrometry systems with higher throughput and better resolution than that of the now used gated integrator. A resolution comparison between a gated integrator and the recently developed Preloaded Filter is given on the basis of the detector applied in this investigation and substantial improvements are examplified.     

Eine Röntgenkleinwinkelanalyse von Polyacrylnitril-Fasern

Measurements of the equatorial X-ray small-angle scattering are reported for 9 polyacrylnitrile fibers. They are evaluated according to Porod's theory. Data on void fraction and inner surface are obtained. With several samples, a Gumier-evaluation of the inner portion is possible, agreement is satisfactory. An attempt is made to interpret the results obtained with the help of a cyhndric model.     

Anisotropic electron-phonon scattering in metals

A previously published general theory for the effects of electron-phonon scattering in metals involves all relevant anisotropies and permits a virtually exact solution of the Boltzmann equation. The electron-phonon interaction is represented by a few Wannier matrix elements that are adjusted to experimental data. Calculations of the electron lifetime and the mass enhancement in copper show good average agreement with the experiments. For reproducing the exact anisotropies further non-diagonal elements have to be considered. The calculated temperature dependence of the Hall effect agrees qualitatively with the observations and reveals the local maximum found for both pure copper and dilute alloys.
