In this article, a nonlinear mathematical model for innovation diffusion with stage structure which incorporates the evaluation stage(time delay) is proposed. The model is analyzed by considering the effects of external as well as internal influences and other demographic processes such as emigration, intrinsic growth rate, death rate, etc. The asymptotical stability of the various equilibria is investigated. By analyzing the exponential characteristic equation with delay-dependent coefficients obtained through the variational matrix, it is found that Hopf bifurcation occurs when the evaluation period(time delay, τ) passes through a critical value. Applying the normal form theory and the center manifold argument, we derive the explicit formulas determining the properties of the bifurcating periodic solutions. To illustrate our theoretical analysis, some numerical simulations are also included.  相似文献

The signature splittings in Kπ = 1 +: 7 /2[404] π?9 /2[624] ν, Kπ = 0?: 9 /2[514] π?9 /2[624] ν bands of 180Ta and Kπ = 0?: 7 /2[404] π?7 /2[503] ν, Kπ = 1?: 5 /2[402] π?3 /2[512] ν, Kπ = 1+: 7 /2[404] π?9 /2[624] ν bands of 182Ta are analysed within the framework of two-quasiparticle rotor model. The phase as well as magnitude of the experimentally observed signature splitting in Kπ = 1+ band of 180Ta, which could not be explained in earlier calculations, is successfully reproduced. The conflict regarding placement of a 12 + level in Kπ = 1 +: 7 /2 +[404] π?9 /2 +[624] ν ground-state rotational band of 180Ta is resolved and tentative nature of Kπ = 0?: 7 /2[404] π?7 /2[503] ν, Kπ = 1+: 7 /2[404] π?9 /2[624] ν bands observed in 182Ta is confirmed. As a future prediction for experimentalists, these two-quasiparticle structures observed in 180Ta and 182Ta are extended to higher spins.  相似文献

Metallodielectric (gold@silica) composites were prepared by seed and grow method. The dielectric microspheres (core material) of an average size of 400 nm were synthesized by sol–gel method and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were prepared by reducing the chloroauric solution. Shell growth around silica (SiO2) microspheres was carried out in a multistep layer-by-layer process. The synthesized composites were characterized using techniques such as field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV–Visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy. FE-SEM and FTIR analyses have confirmed the functionalization of SiO2 surfaces with the amine terminal group along with the gold shell growth. XRD analysis has given an average crystallite size of 12.3 nm for metallodielectric composites. Absorption spectra have demonstrated the dependence of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak on the successive shell growth by exhibiting a red shift.  相似文献

Time domain reflectometry is applied to dielectric relaxation measurements on pyridine-alcohol (methanol, ethanol, propan- 1-o1 and butan-1 -o1) mixtures over the entire concentration range and over the frequency range 10MHz-10GHz at 5, 15, 25 and 35°C. From the data, static permittivity and the dielectric relaxation time are extracted using a bilinear calibration method and a nonlinear least-squares fit method. These mixtures exhibit a principal dispersion of the Debye type at microwave frequencies. The Kirkwood correlation factor, which contains information regarding solute-solvent interaction and corresponding structural information, was obtained for these systems, and the excess inverse relaxation time and molar energy of activation for all these systems were determined. The values of the static permittivity, the relaxation time and the Kirkwood correlation factor decrease with increased pyridine concentration in alcohol. The static permittivity of the mixtures fits the modified Brugemann model well.  相似文献

In this paper we have investigated free-surface unsteady viscous flow through porous media using a finite difference technique via primitive formulation. A transformation has been used to convert the irregular flow domain into a rectangular domain. Two illustrations have been presented in case of a standing wave problem and a cavity flow problem with a free surface. The method is found satisfactory for numerical solution for Reynolds number upto 200.  相似文献

Attempts have been made to explore the exact periodic and solitary wave solutions of nonlinear reaction diffusion (RD) equation involving cubic–quintic nonlinearity along with time-dependent convection coefficients. Effect of varying model coefficients on the physical parameters of solitary wave solutions is demonstrated. Depending upon the parametric condition, the periodic, double-kink, bell and antikink-type solutions for cubic–quintic nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation are extracted. Such solutions can be used to explain various biological and physical phenomena.  相似文献

The charged anisotropic star on paraboloidal space-time is reported by choosing a particular form of radial pressure and electric field intensity. The non-singular solution of Einstein–Maxwell system of equation has been derived and it is shown that the model satisfies all the physical plausibility conditions. It is observed that in the absence of electric field intensity, the model reduces to a particular case of uncharged Sharma and Ratanpal model. It is also observed that the parameter used in the electric field intensity directly affects mass of the star.  相似文献

The waterborne diseases cause millions of deaths across the globe. It was a preconceived notion since years that ingestion of contaminated water is the only possible way for the spread of waterborne infectious diseases. But some recent studies have shown that waterborne disease can also spread as a result of human to human transmission. The use of disinfectants is a common practice to prevent a waterborne disease. We assume that the inclusion of the disinfectant, although helpful in prevention of disease, caused negative effect on individuals. In this paper, a nonlinear mathematical model has been proposed to analyze the negative effects caused by disinfectant of water on individuals. Our study shows that if the mixing of disinfectant has not been performed in a controlled manner, then it results in an increase in human to human transmission of disease. The equilibrium and stability analysis have been performed to study the nature of the model system. An extensive numerical experiment has been performed to support the analytical findings.  相似文献

Using the auxiliary equation method, we obtain exact solutions of certain nonlinear chemotaxis diffusion reaction equations in the presence of a stimulant. In particular, we account for the nonlinearities arising not only from the density-dependent source terms contributed by the particles and the stimulant but also from the coupling term of the stimulant. In addition to this, the diffusion of the stimulant and the effect of long-range interactions are also accounted for in the constructed coupled differential equations. The results obtained here could be useful in the studies of several biological systems and processes, e.g., in bacterial infection, chemotherapy, etc.  相似文献
