Leaves and bark infusions Anacardium humile St. Hil. (Anacardiaceae), known as in Brazil as "cajuzinho do cerrado", have been used in folk medicine as an alternative treatment for ulcers and gastritis. This study evaluated the gastroprotective activity of an ethyl acetate extract of the leaves of A. humile (AcF) and the mechanism involved in this gastroprotection. Pretreatment concentrations (50, 100, 200 mg x kg?1) were administered by gavage. Following a 60 min. period, all the rats were orally administered 1 mL of absolute ethanol. One hour after the administration of ethanol, all groups were sacrificed, and the gastric ulcer index was calculated. Prostaglandin PGE? concentration, gastric adherent mucous, and the participation of nitric oxide (NO) and sulfhydryl compounds in the gastroprotection process were also analyzed using the most effective tested dose (50 mg x kg?1). A histological study of the glandular stomach for the evaluation of the epithelial damage and mucus content was also performed. AcF significantly reduced the gastric damage produced by ethanol. This effect was statistically significant for the 50 mg x kg?1 group compared to control. Also, it significantly increased the PGE? (by 10-fold) and mucous production, while pretreatment with NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) or N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) completely abolished the gastroprotection. AcF has a protective effect against ethanol, and this effect, might be due to the augmentation of the protective mechanisms of mucosa.  相似文献

Homogeneous chemical reactions coupled to oxidation‐reduction processes at electrode surfaces are very common in electrochemistry. In this paper we cope with the application of Differential Pulse Voltammetry at spherical electrodes and microhemispheres for the study of this kind of systems. Analytical expressions are deduced from which the influence of the different experimental variables is examined. Several diagnostic criteria for elucidation of the reaction mechanism from DPV peak parameters are given, as well as working curves for extraction of the kinetic rate constants of the chemical reaction.  相似文献

The homogeneous catalytic oxidation of coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) with dopamine at a thiolactic acid modified gold spherical electrode of radius 0.0128 cm has been studied in aqueous phosphate media (pH 7.0) using linear sweep voltammetry and chronopotentiometry with power time and exponential time currents. We have proved that, under the conditions of this study, the steady state is reached, in such a way that the expressions for the I?E and dI/dE?E responses are simplified and become independent of time and the electrochemical technique employed. Therefore, the experimental I?E and dI/dE?E curves obtained in chronopotentiometry and linear sweep voltammetry are practically superimposable and, from easy expressions for the peak parameters of the dI/dE?E curves deduced in this paper, values of the chemical and electrochemical rate constants have been obtained.  相似文献

This paper describes a comparative study of extraction methods of terpenes (terpenic alcohols and phytosterols), fatty acids and Vitamin E from leaves of Piper gaudichaudianum Kunth. The analysis of extracts was done by gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection. The identification and quantification was made by co-injections of the extract with certified standards. The use of pressurized liquid extraction (PLE; Dionex trade name: ASE, for accelerated solvent extraction) decrease significantly the total time of extraction, the amount of solvent and the manipulation of sample and solvents in comparison with soxhlet (SE) and ultrasound-assisted (USE). In addition, PLE was more effective for the extractions of terpenes (terpenic alcohols and phytosterols), fatty acids and Vitamin E.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to investigate the extraction of Ilex paraguariensis leaves by means of three extraction techniques: pressurized liquid extraction (PLE, also called accelerated solvent extraction – ASE), maceration, and sonication. Samples of mate tea leaves were collected from an experiment conducted under agronomic control at Indústria e Comércio de Erva‐Mate Bar?o LTDA, Brazil. Six solvents with increasing polarities (n‐hexane, toluene, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, acetone, and methanol) were used in this investigation. Chemical analysis of the extracts was performed by GC coupled with a mass spectrometer detector. The identification and quantification were accomplished by coinjections of certified standards. The results showed that no significant differences in the qualities of the extracts were noticed regarding the extraction methods. On the other hand, the PLE technique was found to be more effective for the extractions of caffeine, phytol, palmitic, and stearic acid. The use of PLE led to a significant decrease in the total extraction time, amount of solvent consumption, and manipulation of samples compared to maceration and ultrasound‐assisted extraction methods.  相似文献

The synthesis of a donor–acceptor silicon phthalocyanine (SiPc)‐azafullerene (C59N) dyad 1 and of the first acceptor–donor–acceptor C59N‐SiPc‐C59N dumbbell triad 2 was accomplished. The two C59N‐based materials were comprehensively characterized with the aid of NMR spectroscopy, MALDI‐MS as well as DFT calculations and their redox and photophysical properties were evaluated with CV and steady‐state and time‐resolved absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy measurements. Notably, femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy assays revealed that both dyad 1 and triad 2 undergo, after selective photoexcitation of the SiPc moiety, photoinduced electron transfer from the singlet excited state of the SiPc moiety to the azafullerene counterpart to produce the charge‐separated state, with lifetimes of 660 ps, in the case of dyad 1 , and 810 ps, in the case of triad 2 . The current results are expected to have significant implications en route to the design of advanced C59N‐based donor–acceptor systems targeting energy conversion applications.  相似文献

Hydride complexes resulting from the oxidative addition of C–H bonds are intermediates in hydrocarbon activation and functionalization reactions. The discovery of metal systems that enable their direct formation through photoexcitation with visible light could lead to advantageous synthetic methodologies. In this study, easily accessible dimers [Pt2(μ-Cl)2(C^N)2] (C^N = cyclometalated 2-arylpyridine) are demonstrated as a very convenient source of Pt(C^N) subunits, which promote photooxidative C–H addition reactions with different 2-arylpyridines (N′^C′H) upon irradiation with blue light. The resulting [PtH(Cl)(C^N)(C′^N′)] complexes are the first isolable Pt(iv) hydrides arising from a cyclometalation reaction. A transcyclometalation process involving three photochemical steps is elucidated, which occurs when the C^N ligand is a monocyclometalated 2,6-diarylpyridine, and a detailed analysis of the photoreactivity associated with the Pt(C^N) moiety is provided. Alkyne insertions into the Pt–H bond of a photogenerated Pt(iv) hydride are also reported as a demonstration of the ability of this class of compounds to undergo subsequent organometallic reactions.

The photochemical generation of isolable bis-cyclometalated Pt(iv) hydrides via photooxidative C–H addition reactions is demonstrated from easily accessible Pt(ii) precursors using visible light.  相似文献

The existence of phase resonances in obliquely illuminated, perfectly conducting compound gratings is investigated. The diffraction problem of a p-polarized plane wave impinging on the structure is solved using the modal approach. The results show that even under oblique illumination, where no symmetry is imposed by the incident field, there are resonant wavelengths that are clearly associated with a certain degree of symmetry in the phase distribution of the magnetic field inside the cavities. New configurations of this phase distribution take place, that were not allowed under normal incidence conditions. It was found that the interior field is intensified in the resonances, and the specularly reflected efficiency is maximized. In particular, this efficiency is optimized for Littrow mount.  相似文献

Violacein is a poorly water-soluble antitumoraland antibacterial drug. The solubility can be enhanced by complexation with-cyclodextrin. The inclusion complex was prepared by the co-precipitation method in molarratios of 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 of violacein/-cyclodextrin, respectively. The acutetoxicity (E. coli strain) of violacein did not changeup to 400 M, either in thepresence or absence of cyclodextrin. Cytotoxicity (V-79 cellculture) through DNA and MTT assays was significantlydecreased in the presence of the 1 : 2 molar ratio complex.Studies on erythrocyte lipid peroxidation by the thiobarbituricacid (TBA) methodshowed that violacein and violacein/-CD (1 : 2) at100 M cause 50% and 80% inhibition, respectively. At 500 M theviolacein/-CD complexinhibited lipid peroxidation completely; however, withfree violacein only 65% inhibition was reached at that concentration.  相似文献
