In present research, two turbulent opposed impinging air jets issuing from triangular nozzles with fixed and variable exit velocity ratios and different nozzle-to-nozzle distances have been studied numerically and then compared with rectangular and circular nozzles. The finite volume method has been applied for solving mass and momentum equations. The turbulence model being used here is k-ε RNG. Distributions of pressure, turbulence, kinetic energy and its dissipation rate in various regions especially on the impingement regions have been obtained with high accuracy. Study of the nozzle geometries has shown the advantage of triangular nozzles over other geometries. First, the triangle’s base in nozzle geometry has an important role in our study case which, mixing two flows and regions with high turbulence intensity, directly depends on it. Second, our results show that circular and rectangular nozzles have less efficiency than triangular nozzles in mixing applications. Third and last, it was found that the radial jet being created by opposed jets has some similarities to free jets. In this investigation, air in standard atmospheric pressure has been applied as working fluid.  相似文献

There is an increasing desire to measure multiple analytes simultaneously for disease management and detection. However, in the case of invasive devices, it would be better to obtain one small sample and immediately be able to detect the analytes rapidly, as in the case of self-monitoring blood glucose, without the need for additional steps, arrays, or reagents. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is used to measure the interaction between ultralow levels of analyte and molecular recognition element in a label-free and rapid manner. Gold nanoparticles were attached to antibodies against interleukin-12 and tumor necrosis factor-α, typical inflammatory markers found with near overlapping responses, on an impedance spectroscopy based biosensor. Cross-reactivity and specificity of tuned antibodies were verified using ELISA. Impedance frequency was quantified by concentration gradients of marker against the device. The natural impedance frequency for interleukin-12 (5.00 Hz) was tuned to a lower frequency four Hertz away from one another for better signal processing. This was accomplished without significantly altering the lower limits of detection (<4 pg ml(-1) and ~60 pg ml(-1) for interleukin-12 and tumor necrosis factor-α, respectively), no cross-reactivity and specificity as determined by ELISAs. With modeling the nanoscale effects and further development, a larger tuning will be possible for making a better multiplexed sensor. Although interleukin-12 and TNF-α equivalent circuit calculations were modeled here, a sensor with the potential to measure multiple markers at once might offer a solution on the sensor front for simplified management of conditions such as diabetes, where both glucose and hemoglobin A1c values could be obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, a right‐hand side identification problem for a parabolic equation with an overdetermined condition on an observation point is considered. A first and second order of accuracy difference schemes are constructed for obtaining approximate solutions of the problem that arises in two‐phase flow in capillaries. The adsorption of gases on microporous solids is a fundamental physical interaction which occurs in many technical processes, e.g. the heterogeneous catalysis or the purification of gases. In this context the adsorption equilibrium can determine the velocity and/or the capacity of the process. Therefore, it has to be known for designing purposes. The aim of this work has been the a priori prediction of the adsorption equilibria of arbitrary gases on microporous solids like zeolites and active carbon based only on the molecular properties of the adsorptive and the adsorbent. The adsorption isotherm is described completely from the Henry region over the transition zone to the saturation region. The quality of the model permits a first approximation of the planned process without further experimental effort.  相似文献

Herein, we report the development of extremely sensitive sandwich assay of kanamycin using a combination of anti-kanamycin functionalized hybrid magnetic (Fe3O4) nanoparticles (MNPs) and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole labeled Au-core@Ag-shell nanoparticles as the recognition and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate, respectively. The hybrid MNPs were first prepared via surface-mediated RAFT polymerization of N-acryloyl-l-glutamic acid in the presence of 2-(butylsulfanylcarbonylthiolsulfanyl) propionic acid-modified MNPs as a RAFT agent and then biofunctionalized with anti-kanamycin, which are both specific for kanamycin and can be collected via a simple magnet. After separating kanamycin from the sample matrix, they were sandwiched with the SERS substrate. According to our experimental results, the limit of detection (LOD) was determined to be 2 pg mL−1, this value being about 3–7 times more than sensitive than the LOD of previously reported results, which can be explained by the higher SERS activity of silver coated gold nanoparticles. The analysis time took less than 10 min, including washing and optical detection steps. Furthermore, the sandwich assay was evaluated for investigating the kanamycin specificity on neomycin, gentamycin and streptomycin and detecting kanamycin in artificially contaminated milk.  相似文献

We investigate the effects of B2O3 addition on structural and magnetic properties of hard magnetic BaFe12O19 particles. The conventional solid state reaction method is used as the synthesis route. Single phase BaFe12O19 could be synthesized with very small amounts of B2O3 addition and with calcination at low temperatures (850°C) in short times (1 h). B2O3 addition also improves the magnetic parameters significantly. Remanence magnetization and specific magnetization at 1.5 T increase by ~40% in magnitude although no significant variations on coercivity is observed.  相似文献

A method for the extraction and selective determination of the neutral species arsenobetaine (AsB) is proposed using electro-synthesized organic conducting polymer (OCP) films. The polymer films are used as solid phase micro-extraction (SPME) elements for the direct and specific extraction of trace levels of AsB. The separation and detection of the arsenic (As) species is attained using an HPLC-ICP-MS interfaced system. The selectivity of the method towards neutral AsB in the presence of other anionic As-species is explained in terms of the change in the hydrophobic nature of the film during the doping/undoping processes. The type of OCP, the thickness of the film, the applied potential during uptake and release of AsB are among the factors studied for the method. The uptake and release time/potential profiles are given, and a thermodynamic model is proposed. The performance of poly(3-octylthiophene), poly(3-dodecylthiophene), and poly(3-hexadecylthiophene) films were compared, with the best results obtained using poly(3-octylthiophene). The detection limit and linear dynamic range using this method are 14ngmL–1 and 70–1200ngmL–1, respectively. The method was validated using a standard reference material and tested for the determination of AsB in artificial environmental soil samples.  相似文献

All-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) treatment of the acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) have subsequently resulted in cell apoptosis, but the molecular mechanism of this effect remains elusive. In order to understand a possible involvement of genes regulating apoptotic signal pathways, expression levels of bcl2, bax, dapk1, myc, bad, wt1, and mcl genes were analyzed during ATRA treatment in five APL patients with t (15;17) using Real- time PCR (LightCycler). Two samples from each patient were compared to each other: primary diagnostic sample and a sample taken at remission. Effect of the ATRA treatment was demonstrated by the concomitant induction of cd14 and il1beta genes in four patients. Also other apoptosis related genes were found down-regulated in general but especially the down regulated levels of wt1 and bax attract attention. Result suggested that ATRA dependent apoptosis of APL was under the control of both internal and external pathways without relationships to the amount of the blast populations. Ratio of bcl2 to bax may be more important for this regulation than the ratio of bcl2 to bad. Either bcl2 family or less known apoptosis related genes as wt1 will still be required to further studies in this setting.  相似文献

Among several newly identified oncogenes, dek and af4 are attractive targets for researchers interested with leukemia. In this study quantitative Real-Time RT-PCR technique was used to define alterations in expression of dek and af4 genes associated with acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) t (15; 17). RNA samples obtained from bone marrow aspirates of fourteen APL patients, cDNA portions were labelled with Syber Green 1 dye and LightCycler analysis have been performed. Expression changes in patients were found not significant in comparison to healthy donors for af4 (P = 0.192) and dek (P = 0.0895). We suggest that af4 gene may have a role in leukomogenesis restricted to lymphoblastic lineage; also further studies must carry on with a larger series of patients in order to understand the relationship between the dek gene and APL. Our study was the first attempt for analysing dek and af4 genes in APL t (15; 17) patients by quantitative Real-Time RT-PCR. This rapid and sensitive method could be used to screen these genes in different types of leukaemia.  相似文献
