The dianion derived from (2Z,6Z)‐3,7‐diphenyl‐N2,N6‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl)pyrrolo[2,3‐f]indole‐2,6(1H,5H)‐diimine (H2BL), a modified BODIPY ligand precursor, is shown to be capable of bridging two metal complex fragments RuL2, L=2,4‐pentanedionato (acac?), 2,2’‐bipyridine (bpy) or 2‐phenylazopyridine (pap) in [Ru(acac)2Ru(μ‐BL)Ru(acac)2] ( 1 / 2 ), [Ru(bpy)2Ru(μ‐BL)Ru(bpy)2](ClO4)2 ([ 3 ](ClO4)2) and [Ru(pap)2Ru(μ‐BL)Ru(pap)2](ClO4)2 ([ 4 ](ClO4)2). The compounds, including a diastereoisomeric pair 1 (meso) and 2 (rac) were spectroscopically and structurally characterized. Reversible electron transfers as revealed by cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry allowed for an EPR and UV‐vis‐NIR spectroelectrochemical investigation of several neighboring charge states. Together with susceptibility measurements and TD‐DFT calculations the assignment of oxidation states reveals that 1 , 2 are diruthenium(III) species which can be oxidized or reduced by one electron whereas 3 2+ and 4 2+ contain ruthenium(II) and get reduced or oxidized mainly at the dianionic bridge ( 3 2+) or are reduced at the ancillary ligands pap ( 4 2+). 相似文献

In elastomer/organo clay nanocomposites, the morphological characteristics, and hence the mechanical properties, of the vulcanizates are strongly influenced by the organic modifier and the vulcanization process. When the elastomer itself undergoes strain‐induced crystallization, both the organic modifier and the dispersed filler particles could significantly influence the crystallization process. These phenomena are very common in case of natural rubber‐based vulcanizates. In this study, the similar effects have been demonstrated with carboxylated nitrile rubber (XNBR) and organically modified layered double hydroxide (O‐LDH)‐based nanocomposites. The effect of size of the organic modifier was obviously visible on the interlayer distance of O‐LDH and also on the morphological reorganization of the dispersed O‐LDH particles during vulcanization process. The strain‐induced crystallization of the XNBR was found to be strongly dependent on the morphological change that occurs during vulcanization process. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We consider a family of models that arise in connection with sharp change in hazard rate corresponding to high initial hazard rate dropping to a more stable or slowly changing rate at an unknown change-point . Although the Bayes estimates are well behaved and are asymptotically efficient, it is difficult to compute them as the posterior distributions are generally very complicated. We obtain a simple first order asymptotic approximation to the posterior distribution of . The accuracy of the approximation is judged through simulation. The approximation performs quite well. We report here the photophysical properties of a naphthalene derivative of a specially designed cryptand system (L). The system exhibits the unusual phenomenon of emission from T2 and T1 states of naphthalene which has been attributed to the inherent rigidity of the system. Hesperitin, a ubiquitous bioactive flavonoid abundant in citrus fruits is known to possess antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, hypolipidemic, vasoprotective and other important therapeutic properties. Here we have explored the interactions of hesperitin with normal human hemoglobin (HbA), using steady state and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, far UV circular dicroism (CD) spectroscopy, combined with molecular modeling computations. Specific interaction of the flavonoid with HbA is confirmed from flavonoid-induced static quenching which is evident from steady state fluorescence as well as lifetime data. Both temperature dependent fluorescence measurements and molecular docking studies reveal that apart from hydrogen bonding and van der Waals interactions, electrostatic interactions also play crucial role in hesperitin-HbA interactions. Furthermore, electrostatic surface potential calculations indicate that the hesperitin binding site in HbA is intensely positive due to the presence of several lysine and histidine residues. 相似文献
