The Fine Arts Museum in Seville conserves an especially wide group of paintings from the 16th century Spanish art, among which one of the highest importance is a triptych attributed to Marten de Vos. One of the panels was recently restored, which opened a possibility for its material and technical analysis. For this research, only non-destructive techniques have been used: ultraviolet light, infrared reflectography, and X-ray fluorescence. The ultraviolet exam showed wide areas of later interventions, which were confirmed by X-ray fluorescence results. By infrared reflectography it was possible to observe under-drawings and some pentimenti. The X-ray fluorescence results identified inorganic pigments, common for that period of time: lead white, yellow, and red ochres, lead–tin yellow, vermilion, a green copper based pigment, azurite, smalt as De Vos’s basic blue pigment, umber, and an organic black pigment, probably bone black. 相似文献

Presently the most popular way to prepare high quality polarized antiproton beams is the so called spin filter method. The feasibility of the method has been proven for a proton beam and measurements of the spin dependent interaction of antiprotons have been proposed by the PAX collaboration. Another well known source for polarized antiprotons is the $\bar{\Lambda}$ decay which was used at FERMILAB in the only experiment performed so far with polarized antiprotons. An alternative approach for polarized antiproton beams may be the production process itself. If the produced antiprotons show polarization it would be rather simple to handle a polarized antiproton beam in the existing antiproton collector and cooler at CERN just like in the unpolarized case. 相似文献

A complimentary diamination of alkenes by using homogeneous gold catalysts is described. The reaction is one of very few examples of homogeneous gold oxidation catalysis and proceeds with high selectivity under mild conditions. Individual steps of the suggested catalytic cycle were investigated on isolated model gold complexes, and new pathways for gold‐catalyzed amination reactions were established. The key step is an intramolecular alkyl–nitrogen bond formation from a gold(III) intermediate. This study investigates numerically the turbulent flow and heat transfer characteristics of a T-junction mixing, where a porous media flow is vertically discharged in a 3D fully developed channel flow. The fluid equations for the porous medium are solved in a pore structure level using an Speziale, Sarkar and Gatski turbulence model and validated with open literature data. Overall, two types of porous structures, consisted of square pores, are investigated over a wide range of Reynolds numbers: an in-line and a staggered pore structure arrangement. The flow patterns, including the reattachment length in the channel, the velocity field inside the porous medium as well as the fluctuation velocity at the interface, are found to be strongly affected by the velocity ratio between the transversely interacting flow streams. In addition, the heat transfer examination of the flow domain reveals that the temperature distribution in the porous structure is more uniform for the staggered array. The local heat transfer distributions inside the porous structure are also studied, and the general heat transfer rates are correlated in terms of area-averaged Nusselt number accounting for the effects of Reynolds number, velocity ratio as well as the geometrical arrangement of the porous structures. 相似文献

The single-pion production reactions pp
d
, pp
np
and pp
pp
were measured at a beam momentum of 0.95GeV/c ( T
p
400 MeV) using the short version of the COSY-TOF spectrometer. The central calorimeter provided particle identification,
energy determination and neutron detection in addition to time-of-flight and angle measurements from other detector parts.
Thus all pion production channels were recorded with 1-4 overconstraints. The main emphasis is put on the presentation and
discussion of the np
channel, since the results on the other channels have already been published previously. The total and differential cross-sections
obtained are compared to theoretical calculations. In contrast to the pp
channel we observe in the np
channel a strong influence of the excitation. In particular, the pion angular distribution exhibits a (3 cos2
+ 1) -dependence, typical for a pure s -channel excitation and identical to that observed in the d
channel. Since the latter is understood by a s -channel resonance in the 1
D
2
pn partial wave, we discuss an analogous scenario for the pn

The quasifree reaction
was studied in a kinematically complete experiment by bombarding a liquid-hydrogen target with a deuteron beam of momentum
1.85GeV/c and analyzing the data along the lines of the spectator model. In addition to the three charged ejectiles the spectator proton
was also detected in the large-acceptance time-of-flight spectrometer COSY-TOF. It was identified by its momentum and flight
direction thus yielding access to the Fermi motion of the bound neutron and to the effective neutron 4-momentum vector
n which differed from event to event. A range of almost 90MeV excess energy above threshold was covered. Energy-dependent angular
distributions, invariant-mass spectra as well as fully covered Dalitz plots were deduced. Sizeable pp FSI effects were found as were contributions of p and d partial waves. In comparison with existing literature data the results provide a sensitive test of the spectator model. The
behavior of the elementary cross-section σ01 close to threshold is discussed in view of new cross-section data. 相似文献

The reconstruction of the Higgs potential in the Standard Model or supersymmetric theories demands the measurement of the
trilinear Higgs couplings. These couplings affect the multiple production of Higgs bosons at high energy colliders. We present
a systematic overview of the cross sections for the production of pairs of (light) neutral Higgs bosons at the LHC. The analysis
is carried out for the Standard Model and its minimal supersymmetric extension.

A dynamic model of a heterogeneous polymer network system is proposed. A polymer network is presented as an ensemble of cross‐linked regions (domains) of different sizes, the domains have similarly regular internal structures. To a first approximation, these domains are treated independently of each other. Relaxation modulus, storage modulus, and loss modulus of the heterogeneous polymer network are calculated. For the purpose of averaging over all network domains the exponential number distribution of chain segments in domains is used. This type of distribution has been previously proposed by one of the authors in the frame of the aggregation model. It is shown that a structure heterogeneity introduced into a network model according to the above domain approach leads, at long times, to the stretched exponential type of time dependence of relaxation modulus instead of the power‐law dependence predicted by the theories dealing with regular networks. The network heterogeneity also leads to a more rapid decrease in the storage modulus in the region of low frequencies, as compared with regular polymer networks. It is shown that the loss modulus in the region of its maximum is very slightly sensitive to the “long‐range” network heterogeneity considered. 相似文献
