Abstract

One of the most important problems with ferroelectric liquid crystals is obtaining homogeneous as well as bistable alignment, not only to study their physical characteristics but also for their application to optical devices. In this connection it was predicted that the formation of homogeneous alignment requires strong surface anchoring, whereas bistability requires weak anchoring. We have therefore developed a method to determine the surface anchoring strength, and have tried to clarify whether there is a suitable anchoring range. It was found that A/K 22 (A is the surface anchoring and K 22 is the twist elastic constant of liquid crystal) of 4 × 10?2 to 2 μm?1 satisfies the contradictory requirements for homogeneous as well as bistable alignments for the material studied, and the bookshelf structure is successfully formed with this condition.  相似文献

The hydrolysis of the sulfonylurea herbicide ethametsulfuron-methyl [methyl 2-[[[[(4-ethoxy-6-methylamino-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]benzoate] was studied in aqueous buffers of different pH values. The reaction was first-order and pH-dependent. Ethametsulfuron-methyl was more persistent in neutral or weakly basic than in acidic solution. Eleven degradation products were detected and tentatively identified by LC/MS/MS analysis. At all pH values studied, the primary pathway of degradation was the cleavage of the sulfonylurea bridge. However, minor degradation pathways have also been observed, such as O-de-ethylation, N-demethylation, and opening of the triazine ring.  相似文献

The enantioselective total synthesis of (+)‐ophiobolin A is described. This total synthesis features the construction of the spiro CD ring of (+)‐ophiobolin A through a stereoselective intramolecular Hosomi–Sakurai cyclization reaction, the joining of the A ring to the CD ring by using a reaction reported by Utimoto, and the construction of the ophiobolin eight‐membered carbocyclic ring through ring‐closing metathesis (RCM), which was performed for the first time in this study. This successful RCM reaction required the use of a substrate that contained either a benzyloxy or a methoxymethoxy group at the C5 position and either an isopropenyl group or its hydroxylated form at the C6 position.  相似文献

Recent progress in the RNA therapeutics has increased demand for the synthesis of large quantities of oligoribonucleotides. The assembly of RNA oligomers relies mainly on solid‐phase approaches. These allow rapid product purification and the ability to drive a target reaction to completion through the use of excess reagents. Despite the known advantages of solid‐phase synthesis, some issues in the process remain to be addressed, such as low and limited scale, reagent accessibility, and the use of a very large excess of reagents. Herein, we report a highly efficient and practical method of liquid‐phase synthesis of RNA oligomers by using alkyl‐chain‐soluble support. We demonstrate the utility of the liquid‐phase method through 21‐mer RNA synthesis on a gram scale.  相似文献

Viscosities of microcrystalline cellulose + 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([bmIm][Ac]) solutions (0.6–1.2 wt%) in contact with CO2 were measured at 312 K with a resonant vibrational viscometer. At 4 MPa and 312 K, the CO2 could reduce the viscosity of 1.2 wt% cellulose + [bmIm][Ac] solution by about 80 %, whereas N2 at the same conditions gave less than a 10 % reduction in viscosity. The viscosity-averaged degree of polymerization and IR spectrum showed that cellulose did not decompose during experiments and that [bmIm][Ac] acted as a non-derivatizing solvent during the dissolution and viscosity reduction process. Further, although CO2 does react with [bmIm][Ac] to form 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium-2-carboxylate, the reaction seems to be reversible and it does not affect the cellulose. Thus, [bmIm][Ac] with CO2 provides an effective solvent for cellulose and the solvent system can probably be recycled or reused.  相似文献

Asymmetric catalysis under almost‐neutral reaction conditions is key for the efficient synthesis of optically active polar molecules. We have developed catalytic enantioselective reactions of acyclic or cyclic alkenyl esters by using an (S)‐BINOL‐derived chiral tin‐dibromide reagent that possesses a bulky aryl group at the 3 or 3′ position as the chiral pre‐catalyst in the presence of a sodium alkoxide and an alcohol, in which a chiral tin alkoxide bromide is generated in situ and recycled with the assistance of an alcohol. In this Personal Account, we describe three types of asymmetric transformation that proceed through a chiral tin enolate: 1) The asymmetric aldol reaction of alkenyl esters or unsaturated lactones with aldehydes or isatins; 2) the asymmetric three‐component Mannich‐type reaction of alkenyl esters and related cycloaddition reactions; and 3) the asymmetric N‐nitroso aldol reaction of unsaturated lactones with nitrosoarenes.  相似文献

We have developed a one‐pot procedure for the preparation of N,N‐disubstituted (Z)‐4‐(halomethylidene)‐4H‐3,1‐benzothiazin‐2‐amines 3 from 2‐(2,2‐dihaloethenyl)phenyl isothiocyanates 1 , easily accessible from known 2‐(2,2‐dihaloethenyl)benzenamines by a three‐step sequence, and secondary amines. Thus, the isothiocyanates 1 react with secondary amines to afford the corresponding thiourea derivatives, of which the treatment with NaH provides the desired products.  相似文献
