We consider the problem of estimating the rate of a doubly stochastic,time-space Poisson process when the observations are restrictedto a region DR2, and assuming that the rate process has a Gaussianform. In the case D=R2, we extend a known result to computethe minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) estimate explicitly. WhenDR2, we consider the use of linear estimates. We give closed-formexpressions for the mean and the covariance of the rate processin terms of the mean and the covariance of an underlying stateprocess. Delay identification from the chaotic intensity output of a quantum dot laser with optical feedback is done using numerical and information theoretic techniques. Four quantifiers, namely autocorrelation function, delayed mutual information, permutation entropy and permutation statistical complexity, are employed in delay estimation. A detailed comparison of these quantifiers with different feedback rates and delay is undertaken. Detailed regions of the near infrared spectrum of propyne between 12737 cm-1 and 12778cm-1 have been measured using a simple and inexpensive home-made laser diode spectrometer. This part of the spectrum covers the overlapping 3v1 + v3 + v5 and 3v1 + v3 + v5 + v10—v10 bands. Combining a global fit and an individual profile analysis made possible the determination of the vibrational and rotational constants in each band and in some cases the resolution of the individual K structure in each transition cluster. 相似文献

New laser-induced fluorescence spectra of supersonic jet cooled acetylene (C2H2) in the wavelength region 230–205 nm have led to an improved understanding of the vibrational structure of the A 1Au state. Among the new bands observed are two weak perturbed bands at 46008 cm?1 and 46116 cm?1. Rotational analyses of these bands, together with the corresponding ‘hot’ bands arising from the ground state v4 fundamental, have shown that the upper states have asymmetric top K structure that is unaffected by a axis Coriolis coupling; this means that they do not involve overtones of the low frequency bending vibrations and therefore must be combinations of ag vibrational normal modes. From their positions in the manifold, their vibrational assignments can only be 22 031 0; and 11 0;31 0. These assignments lead to values of x 22, x13, and a revised value for the symmetric CH stretching frequency, ν1 = 2880.5cm?1; this revised value is 160cm?1 lower than the previously accepted value, but consistent with new ab initio calculations that we performed at the EOM-CCSD level using a TZ2P (triple-zeta plus double polarization) basis set. 相似文献

ABSTRACT. Herbivores, particularly introduced ones such as sheep and rabbits, have reduced the levels of regeneration of a number of species of native trees and shrubs in the arid rangelands of southern Australia since European settlement. These reduced levels of regeneration mean that populations of some species are declining while others, less palatable to herbivores, are being maintained, hence gradually altering the composition and/or overall cover of vegetation. In the long term, this could result in loss of palatable species valuable to the pastoral industry for animal production, and/or the dominance of large areas by undesirable “woody weed” species. To investigate the effects of grazing, we develop a model which projects the long‐term survival rate of a focus species, Myoporum platycarpum, under grazing and nongrazing regimes. The technique we are applying is an extension of the Leslie growth model, where the vital rates are linked to random rainfall events and deterministic grazing. The effect of grazing is incorporated into the model based upon data primarily collected from the TGB Osborn Koonamore Vegetation Reserve, 400 km north of Adelaide in South Australia within and without the exclosure. The results suggest that only with higher than average rainfall for extended periods will the species of interest, M. platycarpum, survive under grazing. 相似文献
