Two new triterpene saponins, albidosides H (1) and I (2), along with the three known saponins were isolated from the barks of Acacia albida. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive 1D- and 2D-NMR studies and mass spectrometry. The prediction of soil metal phytoavailability using the chemical extractions is a conventional approach routinely used in soil testing. The adequacy of such soil tests for this purpose is commonly assessed through a comparison of extraction results with metal contents in relevant plants. In this work, the fractions of selected risk metals (Al, As, Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn) that can be taken up by various plants were obtained by optimized BCR (Community Bureau of Reference) three-step sequential extraction procedure (SEP) and by single 0.5 mol L(-1) HCl extraction. These procedures were validated using five soil and sediment reference materials (SRM 2710, SRM 2711, CRM 483, CRM 701, SRM RTH 912) and applied to significantly different acidified soils for the fractionation of studied metals. The new indicative values of Al, Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, P, Pb and Zn fractional concentrations for these reference materials were obtained by the dilute HCl single extraction. The influence of various soil genesis, content of essential elements (Ca, Mg, K, P) and different anthropogenic sources of acidification on extraction yields of individual risk metal fractions was investigated. The concentrations of studied elements were determined by atomic spectrometry methods (flame, graphite furnace and hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry). It can be concluded that the data of extraction yields from first BCR SEP acid extractable step and soil-plant transfer coefficients can be applied to the prediction of qualitative mobility of selected risk metals in different soil systems.  相似文献

Determination of thallium in polluted environmental samples and their extracts obtained by a modified BCR three-step sequential extraction procedure was used to study thallium distribution and mobility in the monitored polluted area affected by acidification (Šobov, Central Slovakia). The results of fractionation applied to 5 soil certified reference materials and 14 environmental samples show that the vast majority of thallium occurred in the residual fraction. This means that highly toxic thallium is strongly entrapped in the parent rock materials remains immobile and its environmental toxicity is therefore reduced. The limit of detection for thallium in the studied fractions was lower than 0.050 mg kg−1, the precision (RSD) of the ultratrace determination of thallium in the studied fractions was better than 17 % and the accuracy of the used method was verified by analyzing certified reference materials. Analytical artefacts in the speciation of arsenic in clinical samples   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Urine and blood samples of cancer patients, treated with high doses of arsenic trioxide were analysed for arsenic species using HPLC-HGAFS and, in some cases, HPLC-ICPMS. Total arsenic was determined with either flow injection-HGAFS in urine or radiochemical neutron activation analysis in blood fractions (in serum/plasma, blood cells). The total arsenic concentrations (during prolonged, daily/weekly arsenic trioxide therapy) were in the μg mL−1 range for urine and in the ng g−1 range for blood fractions. The main arsenic species found in urine were As(III), MA and DMA and in blood As(V), MA and DMA.With proper sample preparation and storage of urine (no preservation agents/storage in liquid nitrogen) no analytical artefacts were observed and absence of significant amounts of alleged trivalent metabolites was proven. On the contrary, in blood samples a certain amount of arsenic can get lost in the speciation procedure what was especially noticeable for the blood cells although also plasma/serum gave rise to some disappearance of arsenic. The latter losses may be attributed to precipitation of As(III)-containing proteins/peptides during the methanol/water extraction procedure whereas the former losses were due to loss of specific As(III)-complexing proteins/peptides (e.g. cysteine, metallothionein, reduced GSH, ferritin) on the column (Hamilton PRP-X100) during the separation procedure. Contemporary analytical protocols are not able to completely avoid artefacts due to losses from the sampling to the detection stage so that it is recommended to be careful with the explanation of results, particularly regarding metabolic and pharmacokinetic interpretations, and always aim to compare the sum of species with the total arsenic concentration determined independently.  相似文献

Secondary plant compounds are important signals in several symbiotic and pathogenic plant-microbe interactions. The present review is limited to two groups of secondary plant compounds, flavonoids and strigolactones, which have been reported in root exudates. Data on flavonoids as signaling compounds are available from several symbiotic and pathogenic plant-microbe interactions, whereas only recently initial data on the role of strigolactones as plant signals in the arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis have been reported. Data from other plant-microbe interactions and strigolactones are not available yet. In the present article we are focusing on flavonoids in plant-fungal interactions such as the arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) association and the signaling between different Fusarium species and plants. Moreover the role of strigolactones in the AM association is discussed and new data on the effect of strigolactones on fungi, apart from arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), are provided.  相似文献

Two high-yielding strategies for the synthesis of 4H-anthra[1,2-b]pyran antibiotics have been developed giving access to novel antitumor agent (ED(50) 1.5 microm) and to (S)-espicufolin (3). A key step for the assembly of the tetracyclic 4H-anthra[1,2-b]pyran-4,7,12-trione skeleton is the nucleophilic addition of an aryl lithium species onto an aldehyde which allows the introduction of either an ynone or 1,3-diketo side chain, serving as precursors for an acid-catalysed cyclisation.  相似文献

We report a novel method of detecting the glass --> liquid transition at high pressures, which comprises measuring the relative volume change incurred upon heating glassy samples into the liquid state. We show data on glycerol in the pressure range 0.050-1.00 GPa to demonstrate the viability of the method. The reversible glass --> liquid transition is observed by means of a kink in the relative volume change on heating the sample isobarically, which is attributed to the glass --> liquid transition temperature Tg. This kink can only be observed in the second and subsequent heating cycles since it is superposed by a compaction in the first heating cycle. The isobaric thermal expansivity beta, which is closely related to the first derivative of this curve, shows the features expected for a glass --> liquid transition, including a sharp rise of beta(glass) in a narrow temperature interval to beta(viscous liquid) and an accompanying overshoot effect. Both Tg and the size of the overshoot effect vary in accordance with theory upon changing the ratio of cooling to heating rates. From the shape of this curve the onset, inflection, overshoot peak, and endpoint of the glass --> liquid transition can be extracted, which can be employed to calculate the reduced glass transition width as a measure for the fragility of the liquid. Comparison with literature data allows quantifying the accuracy of the liquid's thermal expansivity beta to be at least +/-10%, while the error in beta is significantly larger for the expansivity of the glassy state. The reproducibility of the glass --> liquid transition temperature Tg is better than +/-2 K. Our glycerol data confirms literature studies showing a nonlinear increase of Tg with increasing pressure (approximately 35 K/GPa on average), which is accompanied by an increase in fragility.  相似文献
