We study a frustrated 3D antiferromagnet of stacked J(1)-J(2) layers. The intermediate 'quantum spin liquid' phase, present in the 2D case, narrows with increasing interlayer coupling and vanishes at a triple point. Beyond this, there is a direct first-order transition from Néel to columnar order. Possible applications to real materials are discussed.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, C8H17NO2, consists of (R,R) and (S,S) enantiomeric pairs packed in adjacent double layers which are characterized by centrosymmetric hydrogen‐bonded dimers, generated via N—H...O and O—H...O interactions, respectively. Intermolecular interactions, related to acceptor and donor molecule chirality, link the achiral double layers into tubular columns, which consist of a staggered hydrophilic inner core surrounded by a hydrophobic cycloalkyl outer surface and extend in the [011] direction.  相似文献

Aerogels prepared from aqueous dispersions of anionic and cationic cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) were investigated as solid supports for enzymes and silver nanoparticles and to elicit a sustained antibacterial effect. The imparted stabilization in dry conditions was studied with aerogels that were cast after mixing the enzymes with CNFs followed by dehydration (freeze-drying). The activity of lysozyme immobilized in the given CNF system was analyzed upon storage in liquid and air media. In contrast with aqueous solutions of free, unbound enzyme, which lost activity after the first day, the enzyme immobilized physically in unmodified and cationic CNF presented better stability (activity for a longer time). However, the enzyme activity was reduced in the case of anionic CNF, which was prepared by TEMPO-mediated oxidation (TO-CNF). Both humidity and temperature reduced the stability of the enzyme immobilized in the respective CNF aerogel. The antibacterial activity of CNF aerogels carrying lysozyme was also tested against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. The results were compared with those obtained from CNF systems loaded with silver nanoparticles (AgNP) after in situ synthesis via UV reduction. Storage in cold or dry conditions preserved the activity and antibacterial performance of enzyme-loaded CNF aerogels. As expected, the lysozyme-containing aerogels showed lower inhibition than the AgNP-containing aerogel. In this latter case, the antibacterial activity depended on the concentration and size of the nanoparticles. Compared to unmodified CNF and TO-CNF, the aerogels prepared with cationic CNF, loaded with either lysozyme or AgNPs, showed remarkably better antibacterial activity. Similar experiments were conducted with horseradish peroxidase, which confirmed, to different degrees, the observations derived from the lysozyme systems. Overall, the results indicate that non-toxic and biodegradable CNF is a suitable support for bio-active materials and is effective in protecting and retaining enzymatic and antibacterial activities.  相似文献

In this work a study on gold mineral samples is reported, using optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS). The auriferous samples are from the El Diamante mine, located in Guachavez-Nariño (Colombia) and were prepared by means of polished thin sections. The petrography analysis registered the presence, in different percentages that depend on the sample, of pyrite, quartz, arsenopyirite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena. The XRD analysis confirmed these findings through the calculated cell parameters. One typical Rietveld analysis showed the following weight percent of phases: 85.0% quartz, 14.5% pyrite and 0.5% sphalerite. In this sample, MS demonstrated the presence of two types of pyrite whose hyperfine parameters are δ 1 = 0.280 ± 0.002 mm/s and Δ 1 = 0.642 ± 0.002 mm/s, δ 2 = 0.379 ± 0.002 mm/s and Δ 2 = 0.613 ± 0.002 mm/s.  相似文献

In this work we report the magnetic and structural properties obtained by Mössbauer spectrometry, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer and X-ray diffraction of milled powders with initial composition Nd2(Fe100 ? x Nb x )14B with x = 0 and x = 4. The mixtures were ball milled for different times up to 240 h. Structural and microstructural parameters were derived from high statistics X-ray patterns and discussed as a function of milling time. The Mössbauer spectra of the samples were fitted by means of a sextet and an hyperfine field distribution, associated to a pure iron phase (α-Fe) and a disordered iron-based phase, respectively. The α-Fe grain size decreases from 50 nm for 6 h up to 5 nm for 240 h milling time. The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer results allow to conclude that these samples behave as soft ferromagnets.  相似文献

This work presents the relation between the pozzolanic activity, the hydration heat and the compressive strength developed by blended mortars containing 10 and 35% of a spent fluid catalytic cracking catalyst (FCC). The results show that, in comparison with 100% Portland cement mortar, a mortar with 10% FCC increases the hydration heat all over the period of testing. This hydration heat increasing is due to the pozzolanic effect, therefore the resulting compressive strength is higher than the reference mortar. Whereas, in a mortar with 35% of FCC, the hydration heat is higher than 100% PC mortar, until 10 h of testing. After this age, the substitution degree predominates over the pozzolanic activity, showing in this case, lower hydration heat and developing lower compressive strength than 100% PC mortar.  相似文献

Multiplets of such fields are produced by a chain of fusion processes.
