Sulfonic acid-functionalized Fe3O4-supported magnetized graphene oxide quantum dots: A novel organic-inorganic nanocomposite as an efficient and recyclable nanocatalyst for the synthesis of dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole and 4H-chromene derivatives

In this research, the main emphasis has been focused on the preparation of a novel Fe₃O₄-supported propane-1-sulfonic acid-grafted graphene oxide quantum dots (Fe₃O₄@GOQD-O-(propane-1-sulfonic acid)) that it was readily synthesized via a five-step procedure as a hitherto unreported magnetic nanocatalyst. This newly prepared Fe₃O₄@GOQD-O-(propane-1-sulfonic acid) nanocomposite was structurally well-established by different analytical techniques including Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), field emission gun-scanning electron microscope (FESEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analyses. The high catalytic performance of this nanocomposite was exhibited in one-pot synthesis of dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole and 4H-chromene derivatives under mild conditions. Low reaction times, excellent yields of the products, benignity of the catalyst, easy reaction work-up and magnetic recyclability of the catalyst are the main advantages of the present protocol. Also, our research indicated that the Fe₃O₄@GOQD-O-(propane-1-sulfonic acid) could be reused up to five times without considerable loss of catalytic activity.     

Copper-immobilized ionic liquid as an alternative to organic solvents in the one-pot synthesis of bioactive dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives

In this study, a novel Cu-immobilized ionic liquid (IL)was designed, characterized, and employed as both promoter and solvent in the synthesis of some dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles. The synthesized ionic liquid was characterized by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, FTIR, ICP and EDX analysis and showed high catalytic activity to proceed the synthesis of bioactive dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives. This method has the advantage of using the IL as a green medium for the synthesize of the products in high to excellent yields within short reaction times.     

Investigation of the equality constraint effect on the reduction of the rotational ambiguity in three-component system using a novel grid search method

The obtained results by soft modeling multivariate curve resolution methods often are not unique and are questionable because of rotational ambiguity. It means a range of feasible solutions equally fit experimental data and fulfill the constraints. Regarding to chemometric literature, a survey of useful constraints for the reduction of the rotational ambiguity is a big challenge for chemometrician. It is worth to study the effects of applying constraints on the reduction of rotational ambiguity, since it can help us to choose the useful constraints in order to impose in multivariate curve resolution methods for analyzing data sets. In this work, we have investigated the effect of equality constraint on decreasing of the rotational ambiguity. For calculation of all feasible solutions corresponding with known spectrum, a novel systematic grid search method based on Species-based Particle Swarm Optimization is proposed in a three-component system.

Al(HSO4)3 and Al2O3-SO3H as Efficient Catalysts for Modified Preparation of 3,4-Dihydropyrimidin-2 (1H)-ones/thiones

An environmentally friendly procedure for the preparation of dihydropyrimidinone derivatives or their sulfur analogues under thermal solvent-free conditions in the presence of aluminium hydrogen sulfate [Al(HSO₄)₃] and alumina sulfuric acid (Al₂O₃-SO₃H) as heterogeneous catalysts was developed.
