Evaluation and analysis of neutron single-particle energies in 78Ni nucleus

The evaluated single-particle energies of neutron states were obtained for doubly magic neutronrich nucleus ⁷⁸Ni. The evaluations were made by extrapolation of the experimental energies of stable nickel isotopes based on the mass regularities in the results of theoretical calculations of the energies, in particular, using the Koura-Yamada potential. The evaluated energies were analyzed by the mean-field model with dispersive optical potential; a good agreement between the calculated and evaluated energies was achieved.     

Antimicrobial activity of silver—poly(1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) nanocomposites

Novel water-soluble nanocomposites containing 1–26 nm silver nanoparticles stabilized with poly(1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) were prepared. They possess plasmon absorption with the maxima at 412 and 415 nm and exhibit the antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative reference and nosocomial strains, oxacillin/methicillin-susceptible staphylococci, micrococci, and streptococci, as well as fungi.

Stability of tungsten(VI) oxide dispersions in electrolyte solutions

The aggregation stability of tungsten oxide hydrosols is studied by the photometric and electrooptical methods. Coagulation thresholds determined in solutions of 1 : 1, 2 : 1, and 3 : 1 electrolytes obey the Schulze-Hardy rule. The coagulation is shown to occur by the barrier mechanism predominantly through adhering of small particles to large ones without considerable changes in the sizes of the latter.     

Energies of the single-particle proton 1f and 2p states in the 58,60,62,64Ni isotopes

Single-particle energies corresponding to the maximum value of the spectroscopic factor were obtained for the proton states near the Fermi energy in the ^58,60,62,64Ni nuclei by the joint evaluation of the data on the stripping and pickup reactions on the same nucleus. These results are compared with the center-of-gravity energies of the single-particle state fragment distributions obtained by the same method and with the single-particle energies calculated with the potential of X. Single-particle properties of <Emphasis Type="Italic">N</Emphasis> = 12 to <Emphasis Type="Italic">N</Emphasis> = 20 silicon isotopes within the dispersive optical model

Experimental neutron and proton single-particle energies in N = 12 to N = 20 silicon isotopes and data on neutron and proton scattering by nuclei of the isotope ²⁸Si are analyzed on the basis of the dispersive optical model. Good agreement with available experimental data was attained. The occupation probabilities calculated for the single-particle states in question suggest a parallel-type filling of the 1d and 2s _1/2 neutron states in the isotopes ^{26,28,30,32,34}Si. The single-particle spectra being considered are indicative of the closure of the Z = 14 proton subshell in the isotopes ^30,32,34Si and the N = 20 neutron shell.     

Proton exchange in 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole and its derivatives

Proton exchange at C(₅) of the triazole ring has been studied in 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole, 1-ethyl-1,2,4-triazole, poly-1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole, and their quaternary salts.
